* BottomlessPits: Frequent in Swamp Hag's stage. Interestingly, a camera shift can reveal that at least one of the pits does have a bottom, but without any way to climb out of it Bartman would effectively be stuck, costing a life.

* WarpZone: Of sorts, doubling as a BrutalBonusLevel. There exists a nebula icon in Swamp Hag and Dr. Crab's stages that transports Bartman to the Limbo Zone (said icon is also the only animated pick-up outside of Radioactive Man's symbol when a boss is defeated). Collecting everything allows the player to warp ahead to the next section (and keep the powerups), but failing via falling out of bounds (or running out of time / health) will send you back to a checkpoint. You only get one shot at it, as well, since the icon will disappear.

* BossOnlyLevel: Brain-O the Magnificent.

* MarathonLevel: Each stage has a fair amount of length to them, but Dr. Crab's segment has ''five'' sections to traverse before you finally fight him. By contrast, Swamp Hag has three and Lava Man has only two.

* OneHitKill: There are gigantic crab claws in Dr. Crab's second and fourth sections which will kill Bartman if he gets caught in one.

Radioactive Man has been imprisoned in the Limbo Zone, which revolves around a black hole. While reading a comic where the hero doesn't appear, Bart meets Fallout Boy and he tells Bart about the situation. Bart becomes Bartman, and heads out to save Radioactive Man. To do so, he has to battle three supervillains, before taking on Brain-O the Magnificent.

to:

* BrainInAJar: Brain-O the Magnificent, but he's on wheels!wheels! And he can jump!
* BreathWeapon: Cold Breath, acquired by picking up a snowflake. Only five shots per pickup and [[OneBulletAtATime one shot on screen]], but they travel the length of the screen. They're required to battle both Swamp Hag and Lava Man.
* ConvectionSchmonvection: Lava Man's stage is explicitly called "20,000 Miles Under the Earth", and both the first section and the boss fight have Bartman getting rather close to active magma.
* EyeBeams: Acquired by picking up a lightning bolt. 20 rounds of ammo with generous clip size per round, but they don't go very far.
* InvincibilityPowerUp: A Tornado Icon.

Added DiffLines:

* TheMaze: Aside from the aforementioned sewer, the third section of Dr. Crab's stage has you navigate one [[BlackoutBasement in the dark.]] [[CrosshairAware The only light in the room will also harm you if the crosshair touches Bartman.]] Another one lies in the second part of Lava Man's stage, and it requires a ''lot'' of trial and error to figure out which door goes where.
* MercyInvincibility: It's frustratingly short.
* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: More like up and across and the room, but beating Dr. Crab requires you to punch him into the ceiling and into the far wall when he tries to pounce on you. [[RuleOfThree It takes three hits to send him through the wall]], where you have to enter through his ImpactSilhouette to continue the fight. Beware his pet crab on the floor, though.
* PuzzleBoss: Brain-O can't be directly attacked by your eye laser. You have to bounce shots off his tank and up to Radioactive Man, whom will bounce the shots off of him and onto Brain-O.

Added DiffLines:

* SuperNotDrowningSkills: "The Water-Logged Lair of Dr. Crab" stage is almost exclusively swimming.
* VideoGameFlight: Outside of an autoscroller in Swamp Hag's stage, there are static B-icons that grant temporary flight, giving surprisingly good mobility.
* WarpZone: Of sorts, also a BrutalBonusLevel. There exists a nebula icon in Swamp Hag and Dr. Crab's stages that transports Bartman to the Negative Zone (said icon is also the only animated pick-up outside of Radioactive Man's symbol when a boss is defeated). * Ear Worm: Many of the game's songs are catchy. The sewer level is probably the best example.

* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: One of the biggest offenders of this trope. Bartman's combat skills barely work, enemies will constantly break through your attacks, the levels are long and uninteresting, and it's unnecessarily difficult.
* ThePowerOfTeamwork: Bartman and Radioactive Man team up to defeat Brain-O, by deflecting Bartman's eye beams at Brain-O's brain, which hurts him.
