* ComedicSociopathy: Pokémon can be bonked on the head with apples, and knocked out with Pester Balls. It's all good fun.

* TheDogBitesBack: If the Charmander early in Volcano gets to an apple before the nearby Magmar does, the Magmar attacks it. The Charmander promptly evolves and ''knocks it the hell out''.

* StuffBlowingUp: Electrode explode when hit with apples or Pester Balls.
* SurferDude: Early in the Beach stage, a Pikachu standing in the sand can be lured over to a pink surfboard with apples. It'll then pretend to surf on it.

* ThisIsMySide: A Charmeleon in the Volcano stage can be seen pacing around a lava pit, occasionally marking his territory by roaring.

* LightningCanDoAnything: In the tunnel stage, a Pikachu can be lured over to a giant egg. Playing the PokéFlute afterwards will cause Pikachu can use Thunderbolt [[ItMakesSenseInContext causing the egg to hatch]] into Zapdos. And then it extends when Zapdos uses Thunder to start up a nearby generator and make the electricity work again.

Each Jigglypuff you save (three in all) reappears near the cave's exit, either singing or dancing.

* ConvectionSchmonvection: Played straight in the volcano stage.

* AwesomePersonnelCarrier: The Zero One, a multi-purpose vehicle which can move on land, sea and air (using rocket boosters). Unfortunately, since the game is a [[IncrediblyLamePun rail shooter]], the Zero One cannot go off the guided route aside from the River and Valley where the vehicle can drift from side to side of the water.

* [[ScaryShadowFakeout Non-Scary Shadow Fakeout]]: There's a shadow of a Pinsir that is formed by assorted junk in the power plant level that is visible if the Zapados egg is hatched.

** In the Volcano level, you have to knock the Moltres egg off the track every time you go there. The first time, it's impressive watching Moltres pose in the air repeatedly, but when you get more items for better shots of all the other fire pokemon, you can end up ''ignoring a Legendary pokemon''.

Of all the spinoffs ''Pokémon'' obtained in the Gen. I era, ''Snap'' is by far one of the most successful and popular, and any mention of it on a message board tends to result in posts by people wanting a sequel.

* AmazingTechnicolorBattlefield: [[spoiler:The Rainbow stage.]]

* ComMons: There are some Mons you can photograph dozens of times.
** Magikarp can be found in every level, excluding the Rainbow Cloud.
* {{Constellations}}: One level has a constellation of Mewtwo as a secret.
** Other constellations seen in the Rainbow Cloud level include Kingler, Pinsir, Koffing, Cubone, and Dugtrio.

* TheFool: Meowth acts a bit like this in the Beach level, merrily skipping after Pidgey whilst terrorizing them.
** A Pikachu at the beginning of the Tunnel level acts like this too. If a picture is took of him, he'll move. Doing this twice will make him roll on a passing Electrode. [[spoiler: He hurts Pikachu when he blows up on that rock.]]

* GreenHillZone: The Beach.

* LastLousyPoint: Goldeen can be rather annoying to photograph. It only appears in the canyon area, and you have to throw Pester Balls into the water to scare it out. This can take many Pester Balls, and once Goldeen DOES jump out, you have about half a second to mentally process that fact and snap a quick picture of it before it splashes back down again. Muk is pretty hard too, because once it's evolved the damn thing won't move!
