* HotterAndSexier: The game contains a lot more sexual commentary than anything else in the series, to the point it was deemed a Cero D in Japan. To name a few examples: the Intoners are very sexually active and keep Apostles around to serve their needs, Octa's speech always has some sort of innuendo or euphemism attached to it, while Five seems aroused by pretty much anything.

[[quoteright:350:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_drakengard_3_15_1164.jpg]]

The third game in Cavia's ''{{Drakengard}}'' series, released in Japan on December 19th, 2013. Along with the supplementary manga called ''Drag-On Dragoon: Shi Ni Itaru Aka'', it is a prequel to the first game.

The world is governed by five sisters known as Intoners, who possess incredible magical powers. The Intoners brought peace to the war-torn land and rule it justly. However, the eldest sister, named Zero, wishes to kill all her sisters so she will be the only one left with these powers.

The plot of the game follows Zero on her grim quest. She is joined by Mikhail, a young idealistic dragon who views Zero as a mother figure and tries to convince Zero she should get slong with her sisters, and the Apostles, men who are sworn to serve the Intoners. Like its predecessors, it features MultipleEndings, HackAndSlash action mixed with RPGElements and aerial missions. And lots of blood.

Developed by Access Games, the game was directed by Taro Yoko and most of the team behind the original game. Consequently, the game's atmosphere is closer to ''VideoGame/{{NieR}}'' and the first game, rather than ''{{Drakengard 2}}''. While the game is still very bleak, it tries to lift the mood with comedic scenes and sexual innuendo.

SquareEnix have confirmed a Western release set for the future.
