There are five vocations: Warrior, Martial Artist, Mage, Priest, and Thief, Each has its own experience level and skill set that are maintained during switching. Leveling the two physical or magical vocations to 20 can unlock their combined versions Gladiator and Sage after completing a side-quest to earn them, while leveling Thief to 20 unlocks a side-quest to obtain the Thief's Key, which can unlock the black treasure chests scattered through the overworld.
