* Mitsuki from ''WesternAnimation/KappaMikey'', for Mikey. She is soft, dependent, shy, and kind the point where nobody else acknowledges her and they often forget her name, but in one episode it's revealed that [[spoiler:she used to be a secret agent before breaking into show business and can injure nearly anyone if need be]].

* Cindy Vortex from ''WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutron.'' She's far more "tsun" than "dere," but there are a few times she lets her true feelings for Jimmy slip through. She becomes much more "dere" in the later episodes.

* Miss Grotke from ''WesternAnimation/{{Recess}}'' is for 95% of the time an {{Adorkable}} sweetheart. But when provoked… BewareTheNiceOnes.

* [[AlliterativeAppellation Duleena Duneeda]], AKA D.D. from ''WesternAnimation/Ballmastrz9009'' is effectively a parody of tsundere as her defining personality trait. Technically "deredere" by default, she will fly into particularly threatening and outright violent "tsuntsun" for any reason. [[HairTriggerTemper or no apparent reason at all]]. Her introduction to the series is to sweetly hug her teammate Ace, and declare that another character isn't allowed to make fun of him, only to immediately snap, declare that only SHE can make fun of him, and proceed to piledrive Ace. Ace isn't even her boyfriend. That's a different teammate, Leto Otel, who she acts even crazier towards.

* Mitchell from ''WesternAnimation/ReadyJetGo'' is this this big time, to the point where he could possibly give [[Disney/{{Hercules}} Megara]] a run for her money. He usually acts distant and stuck-up towards the main cast, and is easy to anger, [[BerserkButton especially if you sneak up on him]]. However, underneath his ''tsun tsun'' facade, he does [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold have a kind and caring side]], which is particularly being played up as of Season 2. This is showcased with his interactions with Sean and [[ImpliedLoveInterest Mindy]].

* Daria from ''WesternAnimation/Daria'' might be one of the best-developed examples.

** Zuko is something of a prickly {{Jerkass}} most of the time, but has a soft, dorky center that he pretty much only shows around his SugarAndIce girlfriend Mai.

* Rainbow Dash from ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' can be this at times yet she has got a good heart. Although she can be rather rude to her closest friends, she softens up in later seasons and becomes more of an Unsorted Tsundere with both Harsh and Sweet qualities to her. As a [[SugarAndIcePersonality Kuudere]], she even says a classic Tsundere line saying she's worried Tank will slack off and isn't worried about him. Cue LuminescentBlush.

* Ren from ''WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow'' is one towards his best friend and [[HoYay life partner]] Stimpy. Less so in the first episodes, where apart from Ren's occasional and usually justified insults, the vitriolic part of their relationship is barely visible. But, oddly for tsunderes, his positive/neutral attitude goes downhill as episodes pass. In ''Adult Party Cartoon'', [[{{Flanderization}} he turns into a monster]] (at least, in some episodes, where it was intended as RuleOfFunny, but turned out very much DudeNotFunny). His tsundere behaviour towards Stimpy varies between DomesticAbuse and IShallTauntYou, with only the latter receiving any noticeable reaction. In earlier seasons, he used to have CryCute breakdowns fairly often, with Stimpy as his shoulder to cry on--in "Son Of Stimpy" and "The Big Shot" it's also very obviously portrayed that he cares deeply for the moronic cat, which is the "dere" side of his personality.

* The titular character of ''WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants'' can be said to be this. He's normally a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a kind word for everyone. But when [[BreakTheCutie pushed too far over the edge]], he can be a real {{Jerkass}}. He always snaps back relatively quickly, though.

** Fluttershy's pet WhiteBunny Angel is also this. He is often abrasive to his mistress but he's worse to everyone else, doesn't like being separated from her yet—when she needs it—he is sweet and comforting.

* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' has Twilight Sparkle: She was a Nice Girl around Celestia, Spike, and her family, but her newfound friends set her off. There's also Princess Luna, as seen in her Season 2 debut. Her emotions and personality paint her as such when only the audience (and then Twilight) get to see how hurt she really feels.

* Jeanneline from ''WesternAnimation/DragonHunters'' browbeats Gwizdo constantly (and justifiably) about his unpaid tab. She's also very much in love with him and once proposed to him.

* Linka from ''WesternAnimation/CaptainPlanetAndThePlaneteers''. No, she doesn't like [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Wheeler]] ''that way''...or so she says. She [[AlmostKiss closes to kissing him several times]] in the series, and is his ClingyJealousGirl whenever a female expresses interest in him. The two finally [[TheyDo share a passionate kiss]] in [[StealthPun Episode 69]], "Missing Linka", and their interactions warm up after that, showing genuine affection for each other on several occasions.

* Linka from ''WesternAnimation/CaptainPlanetAndThePlaneteers''. No, the usually nice and cool girl doesn't like [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Wheeler]] ''that way'' or so she says, but she's been [[AlmostKiss close to kissing him several times]] and is his ClingyJealousGirl whenever a female expresses interest in him.

* Cera of [[WesternAnimation/TheLandBeforeTime The Land Before Time]], especially after [[TookALevelInKindness taking a level in kindness]] in the sequels. Bossy, egotistical, and stubborn, but is a sweet girl on the inside [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold who will always be there]] for her friends when push comes to shove.

He'll often let his MoneyFetish and {{Jerkass}} tendencies get the better of him, but [[Laser-GuiedKarma whenever Dog's been truly humiliated or upset]], [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther he'll do whatever it takes to make him happy]].
