* LateExportForYou: The Windows version. For a long period, ''Memories of Celceta'' was a UsefulNotes/PlaystationVita-exclusive except in China, where the Windows port was created for the region in 2015 (and not a great one at that). After years, Creator/XSEEDGames published the Windows port of ''Memories of Celceta'' (independent from and better than the Chinese version) on UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} for the summer of 2018. This only leaves ''VideoGame/YsVLostKefinKingdomOfSand'' as the last numbered ''Ys'' installment to not receive a release to the PC platform.

* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Worldwide voice acting rights for the Japanese voice acting were not secured, thus the international UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} version released in 2018 only contains the English voices and Japanese subtitles if Japanese is selected as the language. This changed in February 2020, where XSEED finally managed to include Japanese voice acting in the Steam version.
* YouLookFamiliar: The Drama CD casted Creator/HirohikoKakegawa as Asad, the father of Karna and Remnos. Kakegawa previously voiced Berhardt in ''VideoGame/YsTheOathInFelghana''.

* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Worldwide voice acting rights for the Japanese voice acting were not secured, thus the international UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} version released in 2018 only contains the English voices and Japanese subtitles if Japanese is selected as the language. This is in contrast to the worldwide Steam release of ''VideoGame/YsVIIILacrimosaOfDana'', which has both English and Japanese voice acting, and English, Japanese, and French text, despite its initial BlindIdiotTranslation that was later rectified by its publisher. This changed in February 2020, where XSEED finally managed to include Japanese voice acting in the Steam version.

* CastingGag: Leeza, the one who summoned Adol to Celceta is voiced by Creator/WendeeLee, who had previously voiced Sarah Tovah in the English Dub of the Ys OVA Anime. More ironically in that same OVA series, Wendee Lee also voiced the child version of Adol in flashbacks.

Right, his name's Panza and not Pancho... I was probably pretty tired when I played that part of Live A Live and got confused when it came to my memories (heh) of my playthrough of Memories of Celceta.
