* TroubledProduction: The "Ice Ice Baby" video had its problems. The crew didn't have a set to film in, so Ice and company invaded an abandoned building in downtown Dallas, TX. They had to climb the fire escape to get up there, meaning having the lug the heavy camera equipment up with them. Because they technically weren't allowed in the building, they had to rush the filming process. The vehicle that Ice was driving also had no gas, so in the scene where he's driving off, it had to be pushed by two of his friends on set with him.

* GenreKiller: For the rest of the '90s until Music/{{Eminem}} came on the scene, it was almost impossible for white rappers to be taken seriously thanks to Vanilla Ice (well, maybe Music/HouseOfPain and [[Music/BeastieBoys The Beastie Boys]], though HOP only had one real hit themselves). Even then, Eminem is still the only currently active white rapper taken seriously today.
