** In the original planning sheets for Gatchaman II, Joe was initially slated to be replaced by a never-before-mentioned younger brother, who would have become G6. Joe meanwhile, would have been [[spoiler:saved from his death at the end of the original series and brainwashed by Galactor into becoming a cyborg enemy to the team]]. Another early planning sheet presented the idea that Joe actually was [[spoiler:KilledOffForReal, and that the Joe on the team in the sequel would be an android who only THOUGHT he was Joe]]. Media 360 dubbed episode 26 as a test pilot, but was considered to be too expensive. The translation team behind the pilot were not allowed access to any scripts, so they had to devise their own. This dub featured a much different cast of Atlanta-area voice talent, and the characters also had vastly different names:
