** Ever since it was first teased on the first trailer, most fans figured that the MedievalEuropeanFantasy-themed Knight World would be based on the Myth/ArthurianLegend, and were proven correct when Episode 2 introduced to us [[Myth/KingArthur Arthur]] Gundam Mk-III.
** Fans also correctly guessed that the GentlemanThief [[Anime/AfterWarGundamX Gundam X]] was based on Literature/ArseneLupin way before his name was confirmed to be Arsene Gundam X. The assumption that he was a resident of Neo World was also proven correct.
** Pretty much everyone figured out that the green archer [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamAGE Gundam AGE-2]] was based on Myth/RobinHood long before his name was revealed to be Robinhood Gundam AGE-2.

"Goku" is the Japanese romanization for "Wukong". Besides, they're both based on the same figure anyway, so of course they'd share a name.

* NamesTheSame: Subverted, somewhat. You can very clearly hear all the characters call the Impulse Gundam-based character "Goku," but likely to differentiate the character from the [[Franchise/DragonBall one everybody is sure to think of]] to international viewers, he's called his Chinese name "Wukong" in the English sub.

Jossed is a YMMV Definition Only Page now. Deleting examples, fan theories that are in objective pages - they need to go on YMMV pages - and moving these about a specific fan work to Outdated By Canon

* {{Jossed}}: Due to the fact that the differing areas this series takes place in are called "worlds" (Kingdom World, Neo World, Pirates World, etc.), there were presumptions that there would be dimension-hopping involved, especially since each world is based on different time periods and settings. Turns out worlds in this case refers to the countries on the planet that the ''SD Gundam World'' series takes place in, not literal worlds.
