* WhatCouldHaveBeen: As you can see from the Toonami promo for this game, Jak was originally supposed to have the horns he has in Dark Jak mode throughout the entire game. For some reason, this was scrapped from the final game, but there is a glitch where if you walk right near the mirror in Krew's bar, you'll see the horns flicker in and out.
%%* This troper always thought it was some sort of oversight or a bug, since in many games that have small features like that which change throughout the game, the developers will put all of the features on one model and simple code different parts to become visible or invisible as necessary. It's possible whoever animated that promo with TOM was sent the full model of Jak with the horns, and didn't know to make them invisible. As for the mirror in the Hip Hog, the horns are only visible when Jak's moving, and disappear when he's standing still, which sounds like some kind of bug to me.

** According to one magazine, there was a side mission where Jak would compete with some guys in a Jet-Board competition. This was ultimately scrapped from the final game.
** There may have been plans for the game to be closer in tone to the original, as implied by comments from the characters at the end. Of course, even if that was the case, they were abandoned in favor of the game we have today.
*** Please do elaborate. What is the above comment referring to?
