* Inverted with Fai in ''TsubasaReservoirChronicle''. One extra-chapter {{omake}} has the cast eating sushi, and Fai is ''completely repulsed'' by the idea of eating raw fish. * Only in ''Manga/{{Gintama}}'' can a character consume revolting quantities of mayonaise and still be badass. Hijikata's lighter is even shaped like a mayo bottle.
** Also, Okita's sister Mitsuba loves super spicy crackers. Considering ''Manga/{{Gintama}}'' is a GagSeries, this particular gag was used very effectively for humor and [[TearJerker drama]].
** Kagura and her sukonbu (pickled seaweed).

* Most characters in ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'' are listed as having a favorite food. Most notably are Yachiru and Rin's obsessions with candy and sweets and Aizen's infamous affiliation for tea.
** Orihime loves red bean paste, and buttered potatoes. But the first one is what you'll usually see in fandom... [[CordonBleughChef along with the most random thing the author can think of to mix it with]]. Just see what she puts on ice cream in ''canon''.
*** Orihime has actually "settled down" for more "mundane" tastes after the most recent TimeSkip, though. One scene has her pretty much ''drooling'' when she sees Riruka eating donuts and [[Funny/{{Bleach}} hilariously pesters her for some]]. She later is seen eating hotdogs... for breakfast.
** As mentioned above, Riruka's favorite food is donuts; she's seen eating them in the last OP of the anime. In the meantime, her companion Ginjou Kugo seems to prefer ramen soup.

* ''[[DotHack .Hack//Sign]]'' has BT... Who likes [=BLTs=] without the lettuce, hence her character name. One episode as a whole scene devoted to characters discussing this.
* Shizuo Heiwajima from ''{{Durarara}}'' likes milk (and dairy products in general, according to his profile) probably far more than is healthy. Not only is he known to down around six bottles of it during a meal, but it's one of the few things that's managed to avert one of his trademark {{Unstoppable Rage}}s entirely. Understandably, he needs it for his RequiredSecondaryPowers, that is, bones that are MadeOfIron that can handle his HairTriggerTemper-induced SuperStrength.
* The eponymous character from ''OruchubanEbichu'' loves camembert cheese, syrup and ice cream.
* Ferris Eris of ''TheLegendOfTheLegendaryHeroes'' really loves dango (a type of Japanese dumpling). She asks for them as payment from Sion to help track down the person trying to kill him, and later (earlier from the audience's perspective perspective, since that happened in a flashback) refers to him as a "devil" for not paying up.
* Subverted in ''DarkerThanBlack'' with [[FanNickname Burger-kun]]. He has a renumeration of eating a hamburger after each use of his super speed. He may have liked them before, but now he is just sick of them.

* In ''Anime/YuGiOhZexal'', Yuma eats rice balls as snacks, often in the middle of a duel for energy ("duel fuel", as he calls them). Astral likes them too, although he can only experience the sensation of eating when he and Yuma share the same body in Zexal mode.
* The title character in ''Anime/ALittleSnowFairySugar'' loves waffles. In fact, her CatchPhrase is "Waffo!", which her mispronunciation of the food's name.
* Only in ''Manga/{{Gintama}}'' can a character consume revolting quantities of mayonaise and still be badass. Hijikata's lighter is even shaped like a mayo bottle.
** Also, Okita's sister Mitsuba loves super spicy crackers. Considering ''Manga/{{Gintama}}'' is a GagSeries, this particular gag was used very effectively for humor and [[TearJerker drama]].
** Kagura and her sukonbu (pickled seaweed).
** Yamazaki and AN-PAN AN-PAN ANPANANPANANPANANPANANPANANPANANPANANPANANPANANAPAN...although that may just a recent thing.
*** Yamazaki actually hates anpan. He only eats it when he is on mission, because he thinks that it is what a spy should eat.
** Sa-chan and natto (fermented soybeams. They look icky), to the point of being named the "natto ninja" in one chapter.
** Don't forget the protagonist himself; Gintoki and Chocolate Parfaits, and pretty much [[SweetTooth any sweets]]. To the point that his parallel to Hijikata's Special consist of red bean paste on rice.
* ''{{Tomie}}'' demands foie gras and caviar a few times, although it is uncertain whether she likes it or just wants to have the most expensive things, seeing as she at one point in the series says that she's grown tired of eating it.
* Erza from ''Manga/FairyTail'' loves strawberry cake; when someone makes her drop it, [[BerserkButton RUN]].
** Natsu loves anything that's covered in fire. Justified as it's his PowerUpFood.
* Most characters in ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'' are listed as having a favorite food. Most notably are Yachiru and Rin's obsessions with candy and sweets and Aizen's infamous affiliation for tea.
** Orihime loves red bean paste, and buttered potatoes. But the first one is what you'll usually see in fandom... [[CordonBleughChef along with the most random thing the author can think of to mix it with]]. Just see what she puts on ice cream in ''canon''.
*** Orihime has actually "settled down" for more "mundane" tastes after the most recent TimeSkip, though. One scene has her pretty much ''drooling'' when she sees Riruka eating donuts and [[Funny/{{Bleach}} hilariously pesters her for some]]. She later is seen eating hotdogs... for breakfast.
** As mentioned above, Riruka's favorite food is donuts; she's seen eating them in the last OP of the anime. In the meantime, her companion Ginjou Kugo seems to prefer ramen soup.
** Ichigo [[SweetTooth he really likes chocolate.]]
* ''[[DotHack .Hack//Sign]]'' has BT... Who likes [=BLTs=] without the lettuce, hence her character name. One episode as a whole scene devoted to characters discussing this.
* Shizuo Heiwajima from ''{{Durarara}}'' likes milk (and dairy products in general, according to his profile) probably far more than is healthy. Not only is he known to down around six bottles of it during a meal, but it's one of the few things that's managed to avert one of his trademark {{Unstoppable Rage}}s entirely. Understandably, he needs it for his RequiredSecondaryPowers, that is, bones that are MadeOfIron that can handle his HairTriggerTemper-induced SuperStrength.
* The eponymous character from ''OruchubanEbichu'' loves camembert cheese, syrup and ice cream.
* Ferris Eris of ''TheLegendOfTheLegendaryHeroes'' really loves dango (a type of Japanese dumpling). She asks for them as payment from Sion to help track down the person trying to kill him, and later (earlier from the audience's perspective perspective, since that happened in a flashback) refers to him as a "devil" for not paying up.
* Subverted in ''DarkerThanBlack'' with [[FanNickname Burger-kun]]. He has a renumeration of eating a hamburger after each use of his super speed. He may have liked them before, but now he is just sick of them.
* Satellizer from ''{{Freezing}}'' loooooves burgers.
* Aisa from ''ToAruMajutsuNoIndex'', also loooooves burgers and both are voiced by MamikoNoto.
* Even ExtremeOmnivore VideoGame/{{Kirby}} has a favorite food in ''KirbyOfTheStars'': watermelons. Though this is probably because of the size and shape rather than the taste, seeing as how he [[BigEater swallows them whole]].
* Chieri from ''TheCherryProject'' is seen eating chocolate-covered bananas all the time. Her [[HeIsNotMyBoyfriend not-boyfriend]] comments:

* ''{{Kekkaishi}}'''s Yoshimori loves his coffee-flavored milk, in part because of his TripleShifter lifestyle. He also has a SweetTooth, and loves to bake his own cakes.

* Hazuki from ''AmeNochiHare'' enjoys chocolate so much that he will always keep some with him all the time.
* Bamboo shoots is the favorite food of Sei from ''KoihimeMusou.'' It's almost taken to insane levels about her obssession with bamboo shoots. For example, don't [[BerserkButton insult bamboo shoots]], or eat spoiled ones without asking, or YOU WILL PAY!
* Shinsuke Maki from ''Anime/FutureGPXCyberFormula'' is quite fond of sandwiches, as he would make anything into one. Karl Lichter von Randoll absolutely ''loves'' black tea, to the point he would drink tea in pit lanes, during pit stops and even ''in the middle of the races''.
** Most of the characters have their favorite foods described in their profiles: Hayato and curry rice, Asuka and cake, Shinjyo and rice balls (particularly Miki's rice balls), Osamu and Asuka's cooking (which is rather odd as Asuka's a LethalChef), Miki and rice, tea and rice crackers, Kyoko and Italian cuisine, Henri and all kinds of sweets and pastries, Clair and pie, Gudelhian and ice cream and almost all Japanese foods, Heinel and kaiseki (traditional Japanese multi-course meals), Bootsvorz and anything spicy and super-sweet, Phill and his caregiver's cooking, Leon and his mother's stew, Marie and fish and vegetables.

He's quite literally blind to the fact that she's actually a LethalChef; everyone thinks he's insane when he says that she's the best cook in the world.
