It seems they're growing distant because both their work is taking a toll in their relationship. Especially Perdita, who has to deal with "all these people fleeing Markovia flooding into Vlatava.". The message ends with her, nearly breaking into tears, wishing her father was alive to handle the situation better, and that Beast Boy was with her. What's more poignant is Beast Boy's tired expression, implying that he listened to before leaving for Mars, and may have played it multiple times when he's alone.

* When Will catches Jade outside his house he invites her in, even suggesting she stay with him and Lian. Sadly Jade insists that she is cutting herself out of their lives, and that it's for the best.

* Windfall's [[PowerIncontinence inability]] to get her [[BlowYouAway powers]] in check. During a training exercise with Eduardo, [[HeelFaceTurn Mist, and Livewire]], she loses control and accidentally starts suffocating everyone, with Eduardo barely getting her out...which causes the poor girl to have a breakdown about her [[IAmAMonster powers]] and accept wearing a restraining collar, while also now being [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer ostracized from her peers]]. ''Ouch''.

* When Silas is trying to convince Victor to say, Victor immediately assumes that he will simply be Silas' new lab experiment. He even says that he has been treated to a FateWorseThanDeath because of how his life has been ruined due to this Father Box. The looks from the other scientists and security guards indicates they agree with what Victor is saying.

** Then later when M'gann wants to talk to Conner, she finds out that he's going out with Wendy Harris and is hurt

* The fact that Superboy, once his anger fades, reveals that he was happy, for a day he was Superman or the closest thing to him. And he KNOWS that everyone else is traumatized by it while he was happy that he got to be Superman for a day. Black Canary's reaction combines confusion with pure sympathy.

* When Will expresses how happy he is to see John Smith (Red Tornado) at the play date because it means he's no longer the only dad in the room, all of the moms jokingly gang up on him to the point he gets embarrassed. While this seems funny at first, the subtext of the scene becomes heartbreaking when taking Will's position into consideration. Because Cheshire walked out on him and Lian saying she wasn't fit to be a mother, that left Will with the sole responsibility of raising and providing for Lian's well being. Yes he's got his sister-in-law living with them, but she's still an active hero which means she's out of the house more times than him. Will has to struggle with running a business and taking care of Lian by himself while still missing Jade and hoping she'll come back so they can be a family again. Even if he's making good money and Lian appears to be pretty happy that's still a tough thing to handle. Will was simply relieved to see another single dad whom he might be able to connect with, and instead it got him singled out and teased. While Iris and the rest of the moms probably did not mean for it to be nasty, it ended up making Will self conscious about what kind of parent he is and for attempting to reach out to someone.

* According to this [[http://www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/search.php?qid=13552 Ask Gregpost, Aqualad's unconscious mumbling translates to "Tula, please... I love you... Tula... we can still be together in Atlantis...". Note, this the episode right after Aqualad's [[ADayInTheLimelight Day in the Limelight]], where he learned that Tula and Garth were together ''yet assured them he was truly happy for the both of them''. And thanks to THIS episode's events, he didn't remember that.

* Viewers learn why Connor and M'gann broke up. Alone in the bioship, they discuss that it was because Conner was alarmed of M'gann telepathically interrogating villains, leaving them vegetables. She shows absolutely no remorse and claims that the ends justified the means. Connor thinks she's become no better than Psimon. Angered by that statement, M'gann asked why didn't he just tell Nightwing or Martian Manhunter about it. Connor had hoped he'd matter enough for her to stop. The final straw was her telepathically wiping his memories so he wouldn't be upset at her. He did find out and felt betrayed. Conner: "After all we've been through how could you think I wouldn't recognize your touch inside my mind? Didn't you know what that touch meant to me? And to have you pervert it like that..." Conner's voice when he says that and M'gann's eyes filling with tears is heartbreaking.
** M'gann then says she's sorry. But Conner asked if she's "[[MyGodWhatHaveIDone sorry for doing it?]]" or "[[OhCrap sorry [she] got caught?]]"

* Bruce wishes Jefferson could understand he was trying to protect everyone by keeping them out of the loop. When you take into account what happened to Jason Todd and Barbara's paralyzation, you can see where Bruce is coming from.

* Hey, remember the idea of Terra turning evil mentioned up in "True Heroes"? It's worse -- it's not Terra who turns evil, but ''Geo-Force'', who murders Bedlam and overthrows his cousin, much to Terra and Halo's shock. Halo takes the worst of it as, even as Forager reveals his identity to his classmates, she's still heartbroken by it all.

* Violet learns from Dr. Jace that her special state of being means she doesn't have long to live. It takes less than a day for her to start indulging in self-destructive behaviour.
* Beast Boy explains that the reason for Jamie and Bart not being on the mission is because they are attending Joan Garrick's funeral.

* Bruce wishes Jefferson could understand he was trying to protect him, protect everyone. When you take into account what happened to Jason Todd and Barbara's paralysation, you can see where Bruce is coming from.

* With Bedlam exposed, you'd think it would be a happy ending right? No actually it's not. Gregor has to basically banish Brion just because he's a metahuman like their EvilUncle, and it breaks his heart that this is was even politically necessary. All he can do is mournfully ask Superboy to watch over his brother and take care of him.

* Even after all these years, Zatara's body is still controlled by Nabu who only allows Zatanna to speak to her father a single hour once a year. When it's over, Zatanna tearfully points out to her father that ''it's never enough time'' and while Zatara agrees, he still puts the helmet back on telling her that if they break the rule they well never get these chances again. When he leaves, Zatanna breaks down crying while Artemis comforts her.

** It's also clear she doesn't approve of it because she fears she'll either die, like Wally or end up crippled like Paula herself or Barbara both of whom are wheelchair bound. Not only for Artemis's own sake but because she's the closest thing Lian has to a mother with Jade refusing to be in their lives.

* [[ComicBook/Superboy1994 Kon-El]]'s StepfordSmiler aspects come into full view in #7, where, despite his claims to the contrary, he is obviously very upset by his [[NeverGrewUp Peter Pan-esque qualities]].

* Beast Boy explains that the reason for Jamie and Bart not working with the team is because they are attending Joan Garrick's funeral.
