A 2015 Political BlackComedy series on HBO, which will focus on a different international crisis each season. It focuses on three main sets of characters; a low level State Department officer played by Creator/JackBlack and his driver, the philandering US Secretary of State along with the presidential cabinet, and an ActionDuo of two bumbling US Navy pilots.

The first season focuses on a crisis in Pakistan, after it is taken over by a MilitaryCoup. Low level State Department employee Alex Talbot must act as the US government's [[TheMole guy on the inside]], as he is the only diplomat outside of the sealed US Embassy, whilst also dealing with his driver, Rafiq, and his family he has dragged into the problem. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Walter Larson must battle stateside to ensure a peaceful resolution, much to the chagrin of the {{Warhawk}} Secretary of Defense, who endeavors to use AcePilot Zeke and his partner to bomb Pakistani nuclear sites and potentially start WorldWarIII.

** Played with with Zeke and Glenn. They get hammered aboard the USS Grant after getting severely reprimanded and banned from flying by Admiral [=McBride=], so are technically off duty. However, as the only pilots left close enough to [[spoiler: take down the Pakistani fighter jet delivering a nuke to Tel Aviv]] ( as the rest pf the fleets fighters are still over Pakistan), they are forced get back in the F-16 and engage in aerial warfare, whilst ''very'' drunk.

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Despite his goofy persona and idiotic antics, Zeke shows himself to be very skilled at hand-to-hand combat when he is forced to [[spoiler: to fight a warlords son in rural Pakistan]].
** Larson also counts, successfully overpowering Haroon Raja (a trained military general) and getting him in a headlock [[spoiler: when he confronts him in Geneva]]. Kind of makes sense considering he is a [[RetiredBadass veteran of the Vietnam war]].

** Ali later has the same thing. Except that he wants two giraffes so that he can show them off to his daughter. And for a drone strike on his car that was going to have its lease expired.

* ContrivedCoincidence: Rafiq's uncle, a psychologist, having treated the general leading the coup years before. He still has the man's medical file, which Talbot is able to fax to the US government who have little information about him.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: When the world is on the brink of WW3, and the White House has been evacuated, all President Navarro and Secretary of Defense Gray seem to be focusing on is the deals they got on a pair of slacks from the Neiman Marcus the underground bunker is located underneath.
-->'''Gray:''' 20% off the already marked down price. These slacks were practically wholesale.

* DoubleEntendre: Larson views the Israeli Foreign Minister's threats to get out of her office as such.
--> '''Levy:''' Get out Walter. I will hit you, I will hit you where no one will see the bruises.
--> '''Larson:''' ''[smirks]'' You're turning me on.

* ReasonYouSuckSpeech:
** Larson issues a brief but effective one to Gray regarding his lack of military experience and warmongering attitude.
--> '''Gray:''' You're out of line, Walter.
--> '''Larson:''' Am I? [[BadassBoast I was on the goddamn roof defending the last chopper out of Saigon before my 19th birthday]]. When you were 19 you were date raping Radcliffe girls.
--> '''Gray:''' Fuck you.
--> '''Larson:''' Or was it Harvard boys? Lucky for you your prick was so small they didn't have the heart to press charges!
** Larson delivers another one to President Julian Navarro in the season one finale.
--> '''Larson:''' I'm tired of being the only person in your administration who's getting laid on a regular basis and doesn't have to compensate for their sexual inadequacy by bombing the shit out of brown people.
