Anything That Moves is a disambiguation

* AnythingThatMoves: Reeve Carney describes his character, Dorian Gray, as being 'omnisexual' and open to everyone and everything. Dorian is seen hosting bisexual orgies and is strangely aroused by Brona's tuberculosis.

Per TRS.

* ContraltoOfDanger:
** Vanessa's voice, especially when possessed by [[EvilSoundsDeep whatever looks down on Amunet]] at the seance. By contrast, when possessed by a human spirit, her voice tends to jump in pitch.
** In Season 2, our first clue that [[spoiler: Evelyn Poole and the other witches are evil are their lower-pitched voices and guttural ''Verbis Diablo'' speech]].

* CrapsackWorld: Aside from the misanthropic deities, bloodthirsty night creatures, and self-serving occultists, Victorian England is consistently portrayed as a racist, classist, sexist, and nationalist cesspool with some debauchery for good measure. It’s not even restricted to Victorian England as America and Northern Africa are depicted as possessing more or less the same qualities in Season 3. The closest thing the series has to an actual, on-the-ground force for Heaven is the Lupus Dei, [[spoiler: a werewolf who butchers innocent men, women, and children.]] children]]. It makes the presence of decent or (self-improving) characters all the more poignant.

* AluminumChristmasTrees: The scene in "Evil Spirits in Heavenly Places" where Dorian and Angelique go on a wild adventure of...ping-pong playing. Victorian London was actually taken by storm with the game in the late 1800's, and it was very fashionable to go to a ping-pong parlour.

** [[spoiler: Catriona Hartdegen]] mentions that [[spoiler: Dracula]] pitted two great empires against each other in the 13th century, the Ottomans and the Holy Roman Empire. The Ottoman empire was founded in 1299, so it barely existed in the 13th century, and only became a big entity a few decades later.

Ill Girl has been cut per TRS decision. Examples are moved to Delicate And Sickly when appropriate.

* IllGirl:
** Brona suffers from tuberculosis. Notably, and unlike the stereotype, she doesn't seem to have become [[TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth a paragon of virtue]] as a result -- while a decent person, she resents her misfortune, and, in "Demimonde," her frustration induces a fit of unjustified anger toward her doting boyfriend Ethan.
** In "Good and Evil Braided Be", the Creature discovers that [[spoiler: the son he's begun remembering from his pre-undead life]] also has tuberculosis or something like it. [[spoiler: His son]] is young and innocent, so he plays this trope straighter than Brona did.

* {{Conlang}}: The language used in season two ([[BlackSpeech Verbis Diablo]]) is a fictional amalgam of Aramaic, Ancient Greek, Latin, and an obscure Arabic dialect called (in phonetic English) "Kan Allah Musali-Algins". Verbis Diablo was created specifically for the show by (who else?) linguist David J. Peterson, who has also created languages for shows such as ''Series/GameOfThrones'' and ''Series/TheShannaraChronicles''.

* MonochromeCasting: Downplayed. In seasons one and two, the only non-white main character is Sembene, and he barely talks. This improves somewhat in season three, where there are not one but ''two'' non-white characters in the main cast, namely [[spoiler:Kaetenay and Henry Jekyll.]] All other characters of color in the show are either background extras or play extremely minor roles. It is justified, however, by the show largely being set in elite parts of Victorian English society, which would realistically be about 100% white.
