* AllJewsAreCheapskates: Referenced a few times.

** In "Jews on a Plane," when Abbi gets excited about a free movie on their plane trip to Israel, Ilana remarks, "Maybe you are a Jew."

''Broad City'' is a half-hour comedy television series created by Abbi Jacobson and Creator/IlanaGlazer. It aired from 2014 until 2019 on Creator/ComedyCentral.

* HanukkahEpisode: {{Downplayed}}, but one of the episodes of the accompanying web series "Hack Into Broad City" is Hanukkah themed, showing Abbi and Ilana wishing each other a happy Hanukkah via videochat and them opening the Hanukkah presents they gave each other. They both even have crude, makeshift menorahs visible in each of their rooms. There's also a Yom Kippur themed web short, where they both try to keep their Yom Kippur fast.

* InformedJudaism: Abbi and Ilana are both (as in real life) Jewish but not much is made of it usually.

* NiceGuy: Lincoln

* ShowerShy: Abbi changes in the locker room with a towel wrapped around herself, even while everyone else casually gets naked.

* TheUnseen: Zig-zagged. Melanie, Abbi's roommate, is frequently mentioned throughout the series. She gets a line of offscreen dialog in one episode, and in another episode a photo of her (wearing a snorkel) and Bevers at the beach is shown onscreen, but Melanie ''never'' actually has an onscreen role during any episode.

* AmbiguousCriminalHistory: Revealed in "Kirk Steele." This one goes by so fast, it's easy to overlook. [[spoiler:Following her accidental destruction of Soulstice's giant wall mirror, Abbi [[ThinkingOutLoud panics and brainstorms]] how to quickly raise $700 in order to replace it. She momentarily considers selling "[[MagicMushrooms mushroom chocolates]]," but immediately dismisses the idea as too risky when she realizes her "record" was only recently "expunged."]]
** The subsequent episode "Co-Op" provides a bit more context. [[spoiler:Abbi mentions to Craig how she once spent a summer following Music/{{Phish}} around as they toured the country, while also selling mushroom chocolates, presumably to cover her travel expenses.]]

* ExtremeLibido: One of Ilana's defining character traits. She is capable of becoming sexually aroused by just about anything, at any time.

* {{Flatline}}: In "The Last Supper," Abbi and Ilana hear a man flatlining and then being declared dead in the hospital room next to theirs.

She tells Ilana, "Everyone is gonna be sorry they turned their backs on their sisters. Time is of the essence. Any second, there's gonna be an explosion and then there's gonna be blood, like, everywhere." Two flight attendants overhear their conversation and set about trying to foil the impending "terrorist attack."

* BiTheWay: Ilana constantly tries to get Abbi to have a threesome with her among other things, an idea Abbi is against and barely tolerates.
** In an episode that reveals that Abbi has made out with a girl before, Ilana. Freaks. The. Fuck. Out. Then spends the rest of the episode acting like Abbi cheated on her.
** In season 5 Abbi dates a woman.

* CardboardBoxes: The thief in "St. Marks" runs through a store and knocks over displays to delay Abbi and Ilana.
