Now a YMMV trope.

* SpiritualSuccessor: Howard Overman was a frequent guest writer for ''Merlin'' and co-created the series with executive producers of that show Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy; the show also shares its filming base in Wales and some other creative talent such as directors and composer Rob Lane.
* TapOnTheHead: After Jason fails to convince Demetria to come with them and break her brain washing, Hercules whacks her on the head with a FryingPanOfDoom and carries her off.

* ContinuityLockout: Series 2 may be a case of this. Its episodes are strung together in a tighter arc format than series 1 and most episodes end on cliffhangers, making it hard to understand without knowledge of the series.

* ArrestedOnArrival Jason becomes a wanted fugitive within seconds after mysteriously appearing in the city of Atlantis. He was attacked by some nasty (non-sacred) animal and knocked over a few fruit stalls. Two guards confront him with swords drawn. When he runs away, three guards chase him. More of them instantly fire arrows on him on sight (before any word could have spread). A door to door search is held. They sure take cruelty to either fruit or animals very serious!
