* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: A rather frequent occurrence on the site due to [[RealLifeWritesThePlot roleplayers going inactive for any number of reasons]], from being busy in RealLife (such as studies, work, family, etc.), technical issues such as a loss of internet, to even leaving the site due to apathy or disillusionment. In many cases many character plots are LeftHanging and the character himself/herself simply disappears into a proverbial limbo.

** TwoWords - [[CompleteMonster Simon]] [[TheSociopath Morris]]

* ShutUpHannibal: Done by, of all people, [[TheCutie Hayate Kokuroi]] after a [[BreakThemByTalking particularly nasty session of]] BreakTheCutie at the hands - ahem - [[ManipulativeBastard words of]] [[CompleteMonster Simon]] [[HumanoidAbomination Morris]]. Would've almost become a CrowningMomentOfAwesome if it weren't for the NoHoldsBarredBeatdown she received from the villain immediately afterward for her troubles.

* BattleCouple: Tends to happen to most couples at some point. Examples include [[SwordAndSorcery Meglumar and Star]] and [[ShockAndAwe Nickle]] and [[BlowYouAway Chizu]].

* IAmNotShazam: Take note people - the ''site'' is called Shin Hyakuji High School, not the school itself. That's ''just'' Hyakuji High School.

** And then there was the troll profile Pancake Mix submitted to the Join forum under a proxy-hidden new account, doubling as a ShoutOut to TheTaleOfSephirothGokuTheStampede, gleefully trying to make the worst MarySue ClicheStorm possible. Laughs were had, though the profile wasn't kept around due to the Join forum needing frequent cleanup. That link functions, incidentally, as an example of the site's character template as of writing, as well as a shining example of what not to do with it.

* CompetitiveBalance: All new characters are subject to a review and revision (if necessary) process, and the twice-a-real-time-year character upgrades are subject to the same examination. This is to keep GodModeSues out of things, as well as ensure that the forum is fun for everybody. As the process is purely subjective to the approval staff, however, there may be occasional slips. As a whole though, members who have settled into Hyakuji and gotten into the swing of things will keep this trope firmly in mind.

* FlashStep: [[PsychoElectro Kinclex]] and [[ActionGirl Chizu]] are notable users. That said, TeleportSpam is a power that raises red flags in the character approval process.
* GameBalance: All new characters are subject to a review and revision (if necessary) process, and the twice-a-real-time-year character upgrades are subject to the same examination. This is to keep GodModing to a minimum, as well as ensure that the forum is fun for everybody. As the process is purely subjective to the approval staff, however, there may be occasional slips. As a whole though, members who have settled into Hyakuji and gotten into the swing of things will keep this trope firmly in mind.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Barring some exceptions, teachers are generally stronger than students.

* BadassNormal: Though rare, there are some relatively normal characters with little or no powers at all that sometimes shares the limelight with their super-powered friends.

* BigDamnHeroes: Often, whether with HumongousMecha, or through their own abilities, students at the school have an uncanny nack to arrive just in the nick of time to save the day. However, given the variance on this site, its easily subverted by the BigDamnHeroes not quite proving to be as useful as one would hope.
* BigGood: While the site doesn't have any single main character, Hiro tends to be a central figure in most plots and is the founder and original leader of [[BadassCrew Arcadia]].

* BritainIsOnlyLondon: Averted as of the [JR] plot, though an ArchiveBinge might reveal earlier examples. Whilst its featured Heathrow and Baker Street, which are very much in London, its also had threads take place in Southampton and Bristol, with numerous references to other locations.

* {{Determinator}}: A good number of characters get things done by sheer force of will.

* {{Fanservice}}: Almost certainly present, given how heavily influenced by anime the site is. Just how much depends on the roleplayers and characters involved.

* FlashStep: [[PsychoElectro Kinclex]] and [[ActionGirl Chizu]] are notable users.

* {{Hotblooded}}: Several characters, to the point that amongst the awards given to members, there is one for the most testorone prone poster.

** Out-of-character, one Hiro's miserable DM experiences with someone remembered only as "Mage Kid" resulted in "Mage Kid" becoming derogatory slang for obnoxious roleplayers who care more about looking badass than actually writing well. For the sake of decency, no active [=RPers=] are referred to as "Mage Kids", the term is applied "posthumously" after the offender has inevitably left.

* MoodWhiplash: Due to the way IC time is being handled on the site and the rules allowing multiple RP topics by the same character that aren't running concurrently, it's very possible to experience this by having both comedic threads and dramatic ones to post in. At the same time.

** TwoWords - [[CompleteMonster Simon]] [[ManipulativeBastard Morris]]

* UltimateShowdownOfUltimateDestiny:[[invoked]] Given the site's 'anything-goes-rpg' status, and how a number of anime characters are used as the basis of profiles, there's a lot of room to work with. Would you like to see [[Anime/YuGiOh Zorc]] versus [[SuperRobotWarsJudgement Granteed]]? [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Zack Fair]] versus [[KingdomHearts The Heartless]]? Its happened folks!

Running for ''8'' years, this Play By Post RPG has a long history, and is always accepting new members. It has no set genre, allowing for everything from {{Mad Scientist}}s to KamenRider to [[MagicKnight Magicians]] [[KungFuWizard of]] [[ChildMage many]] [[SquishyWizard types]] to be played.

* BadassBiker: While the KamenRider characters are mostly this, there are also some relatively non-Kamen Rider characters who are also badass and ride bikes like Nickle to name one.

** There's also [[KamenRiderBlade BOARD]], which designs, tests, and utilises KamenRider suits that are used to help save the day by many a character.

** Type 5: [[{{God}} Dieu]], KingdomHearts, [[Literature/HaruhiSuzumiya Kyonka's Mother]], Meta Characters; i.e. [[AuthorAvatar RP'er self-inserts]], KamenRiderKabuto, Otoha (when BreakingTheFourthWall)

** Happens doubly so in the Hail to the King event, and quite literally at that - there's two Hiro's (one present, one future and wielding the power of KamenRiderDecade), with neither doing too well against the Machine King.

* TransformationSequence: Yes, some [[KamenRider Kamen Riders]] or other such heroes ''do'' manage to have sequence that occurs every time they {{Henshin}}. For some, its simply the picture of their transformed state, whilst others actually have bits of soundtrack in the post, along with special sprites to simulate the show's own effects.

* CrossoverCosmology: Definitely, though how precisely the various pantheons work tends to vary, some being closer to their mythological selves, whilst others operate under, say, ShinMegamiTensei mechanics. You've got Babylonian, Celtic, Judeo-Christian, Shinto and a number of others running around. Even the works of ''Creator/HPLovecraft'' shows up, let alone freaking ''DaiZyuJin'' of KyoryuSentaiZyuranger.

** Type 2: [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking Most Hyakuji High teachers]], Student Characters with more than [[TookALevelInBadass one season's worth of upgrades]] (i.e. [[WhiteHairedPrettyGirl Chizu]] [[BlowYouAway Yamamura]], [[CastingAShadow Damon]] [[BadassBookworm Ark]], [[HenshinHero Hajime Go]], Otoha etc.), most villains on the C to B threat level.
