Reaching Salvation
is a Role Playing experience set AfterTheEnd in a TeenageWasteland in which that has since been separated into two distinct halves: The Acer Tournament story line and the majority of adults have seemingly vanished, with a few notable exceptions in the [[{{FiveBadBand}} Big Five]] and [[spoiler:the mysterious [[{{AntiVillain}} Shima]] and his group of [[{{Mooks}} loyal subordinates]]]]. Post Acer War story line. The original RP was originally created by [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2023763/LastPrelude LastPrelude]] and is hosted on [[http://forum.fanfiction.net/forum/This_is_Not_a_Forum/69987/ This is Not A Forum]] over on FanFiction.net where we are whilst the Post Acer story takes place [[{{TimeSkip}} five years later]], with the contestants that competed in the process of playing out Acer Tournament in the first half original RP having moved on and set up their own little village.

Both are set AfterTheEnd in a TeenageWasteland in which
the second week and are currently on Part IV majority of adults have seemingly vanished, with lots more on a few notable exceptions in the way, no doubt.
[[{{FiveBadBand}} Big Five]] and [[spoiler:the mysterious [[{{AntiVillain}} Shima]]. That is until TimeSkip that leads into Post Acer stuff leads a large majority of the former teen competitors of the Acer Tournament becoming young adults.

!! Roleplay/ReachingSalvation displays examples of the following Tropes:

* '''ActionGirl''': You'd be hard pressed to find a girl who ''doesn't'' qualify as this in RS. I think the only true notable exceptions would be Elena and Mitsu, for obvious reasons of course. Both Anya and Lillian also count, seeing as being an adult makes them very powerful by default, however they lean more towards LadyOfWar due to their age.

Tropes:

* AloneWithThePsycho: Poor twins...
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Luke feels this way towards Nathan, Nathan seems to feel this way towards the Big Five.
* AntiHero: And then some with Nathan. However, everyone has at least displayed some symptoms of this in the past, [[{{SlidingScaleOfAntiHeroes}} sliding up and down the scale for various reasons.]] Most fall between Types II and IV.
** Nathan is slowly moving towards [[{{SlidingScaleOfAntiHeroes}} Type V]] in the eyes of most other contestants.
* AntiVillain: [[spoiler: Shima has painted himself as this despite being the biggest contender for the position of BigBad. He's outwardly stated he's out for {{Revenge}} for what the others did to him some point prior to the start of the RP, but you can't help but feel sorry for the guy when you take into account that he does want to change the world for the better - possibly could end up going as far as being the DesignatedEvil and becoming a [[{{SlidingScaleOfAntiHeroes}} Mix of Type IV and V]]]].
** [[spoiler: Eithne is also a rather good example of what happens when you cross a [[{{SlidingScaleOfAntiVillains}} Type I with a Type II - the Noble Woobie Anti-Villain.]] His status at this was confirmed when he signs on with [[{{BigBad}} Shima]] as he thinks it's the best way to ensure his own survival, which up until meeting some of the [[TrueCompanions other contestants]] was his sole goal in the the whole plot.]]

* TheArcher: Minerva of the twins most certainly counts as this.
* ArtificialLimbs: Thadius' mechanical arm makes him a subject of this trope.
** WordOfGod states that Thadius' arm also doubles as an ArmCannon.
** Though given what we've seen so far, he ''did'' generate a force field by using the controls built into the arm, so having it morph into an ArmCannon may not be so hard to believe. We'll have to wait and see.

* AttackAttackAttack: Some contestants seem to think of this as their main battle strategy.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: Doonjor could count, considering his sheer size when compared to everyone one else present in the RP.
** It's more along the lines of a subversion when you think about it, seeing as he hasn't gone above twenty feet - yet.
* AuthorAppeal: Nobody would want to make characters they dislike role playing as, would they?
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: The Big Five can easily do a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown on any of the contestants - hence why no one is dumb enough to take them on.
* AxCrazy: Some characters have moments in which they come across as rather AxCrazy.
** Luke's creator has stated this is what happens to him during his BackToBackBadasses moment with Kira during the Breakout Arc.

how its run, as their moment during isn't really anyone in charge so to speak, but those that act as the Breakout Arc (see BattleCouple below).leader figures aren't the strongest, but probably the best suited for the position.

* BadassBoast: Shit loads of it at times.

to:

* BadassBoast: Shit loads BigBad: Shima is introduced as the BigBad during the Breakout Arc.
** [[spoiler: BigBadDuumvirate: The Big Five are, not surprisingly this given that they're EvilAllAlong, and with Acerbus acting as the groups leader making him the ultimate Big Bad. Counts as them being the Bigger Band at first whilst Shima serves as a more open antagonist towards the contestants]]
** Who is the the Post Acer BigBad you might ask? It's [[spoiler: Lillian]] what happened to the others has been left vague for the time being.
* BlackAndGreyMorality: I think it's safe to say that in Roleplay/ReachingSalvation versus, there really is are no 'good guys' in the traditional sense
of the word.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Played with a ''lot''. The one's referred to kids in the actual RP, Elena and Simon play this rather straight.
** Everyone else? Yeah... not so much, really.
* '''CrapsackWorld'''
* DarkAndTroubledPast: As Rand pointed out, Roleplay/ReachingSalvation is set after TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt, so this pretty much applies to everyone.
** Special mention goes out to all those that actually put some though into their characters DarkAndTroubledPast, at least enough to shed some light on
it during the actual RP, anyway.
