* LastNameBasis: Played with. Although the setting is militaristic, which would imply that everyone would be on a last name basis, only a few characters are commonly referred to by their last names. Hobbes in particular, to the point that some players forgot he had a first name.

* SpaceMarine: Two flavors; the literal space marines being infantry troops assigned to military starships as boarding/repelling troops, and the nickname for any infantry soldiers fighting on a world other than Earth. Hobbes was one of the later before becoming an Ace.
* StandardSciFiFleet: Averted: There are only three types of ships. [[MightyGlacier Battleships]], [[TheBattleStar Carriers]], and [[AttackDrone Gunships.]] Each has different types, but all fall in those categories.

In orbit around the neutral planet of Lamia, a peace conferance was held aboard a space station, between the two civilizations. Prime Minister Ehrich Kahlings and President Adrian Altwood, both advocates of peace between their two peoples, spoke there, trying to sway public and political opinion towards coexistance and the sharing of the Lambdadelta sector. Accompanying them were hundreds of politicians and reporters from all across the galaxy, as well as the two militaries' top brass.

Those leaders brought with them their greatest pilots and soldiers, the Aces of the Federation and the Knights of the Confederacy. These pilots, waiting in the lounge of the station, began to strike up friendships, or in some cases, rivalries. Despite their opposing sides, they found common ground with their enemies.

As peace seemed nearest, the Knights and Aces were called out for a demonstration. After a short period of waiting that was abruptly shattered by the overzealous Flint, they commenced with the show. Flying their [=AMFs=] around the station and shooting at targets, the crowd cheered exuberently at their skill. However, it was not to last...

Out of the fleets orbiting the station, 13 unknown craft appeared, transmitting identification codes but moving to attack the station. Realizing this, the Aces and Knights moved to destroy them. But it was too late to stop the other ships- A battle erupted as both sides attempted to defend themselves against each other, and only these pilots and their respective carriers kept their heads.

In the end, all but one of the enemies were destroyed, disabled or sent into retreat. This last enemy, on its very last legs, collided with the Station, from which only a few transports had escaped, and detonated a massive bomb contained within. Ehrich Kahlings had not escaped the station, although the Emperor of the Confederacy and the Commander-in-Chief had. Vowing revenge for the murder of those still on the station, both sides withdrew from the battle, leaving only the wreckage of their greatest chance at peace...

Gameplay will be somewhat turn-based using RollToDodge as a template. Actions will be rolled for by each side's GM (For now, only Hydrall), possibly with bonuses depending on the situation. Combat will be generally at somewhat long range, but depending on players' actions it could really take place anywhere. Each frame starts with 100% health, with an additional amount of health depending on armor class. Heavy is another 100%, medium is 50%, and light is 25%. The trade off is that lighter armored frames get more actions per turn. Heavy armor frames can only perform two action per turn, mediums can perform three, and lights can perform up to four, but one of them can only be used to move. Damage done by any attack is determined by the dice and the GM's discretion.
