* IdiotPlot:
** Samantha and Kara trespass to find out the contents of the pool, with no real plan to present their findings in a way that won't get them arrested.
** We can maybe overlook Lena deciding to pull a gun on Edge because she's been drinking, but there is no reason for him to put Lena on a plane. Just call the police and tell them that Lena walked into your office and threatened to kill you. She goes to prison and you get your revenge in a way Supergirl can't stop. Also, what did Edge hope to gain by sticking Lena on the plane? Everything that she did hindered the plan to drop the chemicals. For that matter, what does he gain by dropping chemicals in the water with the barrels marked with the company they came from?
** If Edge didn't want Lena to call for help, why did he leave a headset out with the comms open?
** It seems strange that Edge never considered that Supergirl might be sent to stop an unmarked cargo plane from flying through her city, or that she was responsible for the plane's malfunctions.
** Edge gets away with murdering his fall guy because nobody follows up on how he was shot in the chest at a distance and couldn't have killed himself at that angle.

* BullyingADragon: Edge blatantly taunts Supergirl at the end of the episode, even telling her that if he was her enemy, it would be smart for her to kill him now. Granted, his whole point is that she's too much of a [[TheCape cape]] to actually kill anyone, even if they have it coming, but if he'd been wrong about that, National City would have one less sleazy real estate developer to worry about.
* CallBack: Edge blows off Supergirl [[Recap/Supergirl2015S3E1GirlOfSteel leaving him stranded on a shipping barge]], saying that all it cost him was time and a minor dry-cleaning bill. She doesn't buy it, because he's obviously ''seething'' that she would dare do something like that to him..

** Speaking of which, what did Edge hope to gain by sticking Lena on the plane? Everything that she did hindered the plan to drop the chemicals. For that matter, what does he gain by dropping chemicals in the water with the barrels marked with the company they came from?

* ItsAllMyFault: Lena is pretty heartbroken about accidentally having poisoned a bunch of children. Thankfully, it really ''wasn't'' her fault.

* TakeThat:
** A crowd angrily shouts '''"Lock Her Up!"''' in reference to Lena, who Edge has framed for causing lead poisoning in children without any definitive proof. On the campaign trail, Donald Trump's supporters would often chant the same thing in reference to Hillary Clinton.
** Lena references the RealLife water crisis in Flint, Michigan and points out that bureaucracy kept people from getting help when they needed it.

* SeriesContinuityError: The main plot is that Lena is allegedly responsible for poisoning children after seeding the atmosphere with lead in the season 2 finale. The only problem is, Lillian took all the credit for Lena's actions in that episode in a worldwide address. So as far as the rest of the world is concerned, Lena had no part in dispersing the lead.

* WhamShot: Samantha has a flashback to the attempt on Lena's life... and realizes that she got shot in addition to James, but not only wasn't injured, ''didn't even feel the bullt hit''. Then the bullet falls out of her jacket and onto the floor, pretty much confirming to her that she has superpowers.
