* TeamDad: Stan shows this side of him in this episode. He quickly figures out the other boys hid at the school, showing that he knows them well, encourages them to not give up, comes up with the solution of making a new contract with Manbearpig and [[TheFace signs the contract himself in the name of the whole group]].

* ShoutOut: The battle between Satan and [=ManBearPig=] is an obvious parody of the climactic showdown between the Hulk and Abomination in ''Film/TheIncredibleHulk''.

* NotSoDifferent: After ripping into his grandfather for trading the lives of future generations for cars and ice cream, Stan himself is unable to accept a deal to stop [=ManBearPig=]'s carnage in exchange for soy sauce and ''Red Dead Redemption 2'', as the townspeople are too bummed out at the thought of that. Instead, he chooses to only delay [=ManBearPig=] by five years (at which point he will be a thousand times worse) in exchange for the lives of third-world kids.

* TheBadGuyWins: [=ManBearPig=] fights Satan and wins, killing Satan and forcing South Park to work out an agreement with him. South Park was willing to give up cars and ice cream, but [=ManBearPig=] claimed even he thinks that's a bit extreme and started demanding they give up soy sauce and Red Dead Redemption 2 instead. The townsfolk settle on letting [=ManBearPig=] go on another rampage in another five years.

* LateArrivalSpoiler: The episode seems to be under the assumption that most people watching are very familiar with the plot of [[VideoGame/RedDeadRedemption2 RDR2]] (which was released roughly two weeks prior to the release of this episode) since late-game spoilers for that game are discussed, including mentions of [[spoiler:getting stranded on an island as well as the epilogue involving John Marston]].

* AnyoneCanDie: Satan, of all characters, is killed by [=ManBearPig.=]

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Marvin Marsh and the residents of Shady Acres really didn't think about the future generations when they made their deal with ManBearPig.

** When ManBearPig offered a familiar deal to the current generation, they also refused.

* RedemptionEqualsDeath: Satan dies defending the town against [=ManBearPig=]. This act results in him being sent to heaven.

* VisualPun: Satan is red, becomes dead, and achieves redemption. Apparently this could be why [=ManBearPig=] hates that game so much.

Satan only agrees to help after being reminded at how people have been doing his work for him recently and [=ManBearPig=] is only there to cause chaos because the Shady Acres residents wanted nice things, which is the same reason why [=ManBearPig=] isn’t stopped at the end, since people would rather have their stuff rather than have the rampage end. Marvin even spends the majority of the third act pointing this out.

* HumansAreBastards: One of the most cynical episodes on humanity. Satan only agrees to help after being reminded at how people have been doing his work for him recently and ManBearPig is only there to cause chaos because the Shady Acres residents wanted nice things, which is the same reason why ManBearPig isn’t stopped at the end, since people would rather have their stuff rather than have the rampage end. * KarmaHoudini: Not only does [=ManBearPig=] get away with his crimes but he is able to return fives year later a thousand times more powerful.
