* AlternateSelf: SCP-2288-A are versions of SCP-2288 extracted from other timelines where she did die from the situations that put her in peril. [[spoiler:SCP-2288-B is from a timeline where she was transported to the main Foundation universe for whatever reason but spawned in through SCP-2288's ability.]]

See Averted Trope "Aversions should almost never be listed on trope pages, as they're almost always completely meaningless. Generally, only nigh Omnipresent Tropes, Acceptable Breaks From Reality or No Straight Examples Please tropes should have aversions listed as examples. If a work simply doesn't use a trope, it is by definition not an example of the trope."

* ArtificialHuman: "Created" by the Wandering Father. [[spoiler:Averted. They're four perfectly ordinary people who were NotBrainwashed by some incompetent hick of a hypnotist with a supply of stolen SuperSerum.]]

* EnfantTerrible: It knows little and is constantly learning whenever confronted with anything it doesn't understand, giving the impression that it's a newborn eldritch horror. [[spoiler:This is averted, as it would happen, under WasOnceAMan.]]

* UnrealisticBlackHole: Somewhat averted, as the Foundation had initially believed it to be something like a miniature black hole but disproved this, though it does act in ways like an informational and existential black hole.

* YourMindMakesItReal: Inverted, as (assuming it really is sentient) anything that it perceives and understands is made un-real, or rather erased completely.
** Turns out this is because [[spoiler:he WasOnceAMan who went crazy after deciding that nothing actually exists, and inflicted his upon himself as well, becoming an EldritchAbomination in the process.]]

* FateWorseThanDeath: Subverted. Being trapped in a time loop box where no one outside it can hear you and your only companion being unable to retain memories between loops may seem like one of these, but Masahiro managed to cope with it by talking with Andrew about anything for over 20 years. They apparently never ran out of things to talk about, and Masahiro never regrets his time stuck in the loop.
* GroundhogDayLoop: SCP-2265 was localized version of this. Only the small area Masahiro and Andrew were in was affected by the loop.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2200 SCP-2200]] - Soulberg
'''SCP-2200''' is a sword, 80cm in length, composed of an alloy of silver and copper, estimated to have been constructed between 1,000 and 500 BCE. The object is luminescent, giving off blue light at a level of brightness directly proportional to the number of subjects it has slain. '''SCP-2200-2''' is the human individual who is currently bonded with 2200 at any given time, who will experience heightened epinephrine and testosterone levels and immediately gain an understanding of the sword, invariably resulting in 2200-2 killing those around them with 2200. They cannot separate themselves from 2200, and any attempt to forcefully remove it from their grasp will result in immediate death of the subject. '''SCP-2200-3''' is an area of land where every subject killed by 2200 manifests, becoming a likeness of themselves formed out of an anomalous, silver-based alloy ('''SCP-2200-4'''). Despite being made of inorganic material, instances of 2200-4 are fully animate and capable of vocalization, sharing the personality and memories of the victim they resemble. 2200-4 do not need to eat, drink, or sleep in order to sustain themselves, but may perform these actions if they so choose. Instances that leave 2200-3 will cease animation upon setting foot outside the designated space.

* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: SCP-2200-2 (the person that SCP-2200-1, a sword, is bonded with) gradually gains a blue hue in their skin.
* MortalityPhobia: SCP-2200-1 tends to bond with people who are afraid of death and have a negative view of what happens after death. They believe that by killing others with SCP-2200-1, they are sparing them for what could possibly come after death.
* PurgatoryAndLimbo: "Soulberg" is considered one by a number of its inhabitants. Crossing the threshold of the active area is the equivalent of passing on properly to them.
* {{Reincarnation}}: Any people killed using SCP-2200-1 are reincarnated as constructs made of a silver-like alloy.

'''SCP-2201''' is a tin coin roughly 3 cm in diameter, with an obverse stamped with a pair of hair-styling scissors and a straight razor crossed against each other. When a man holds the coin in his hand and firmly states the words "I could really use a haircut," he immediately teleports inside '''SCP-2201-1''', an anomalous building resembling a 1930's barbershop. '''SCP-2201-2''' is a humanoid entity that refers to itself as "'''Giuseppe'''", claiming to be the owner and sole barber of 2201-1. Once an individual enters 2201-1, Giuseppe will turn and ask the individual what they would like in the language the subject is most comfortable speaking in. Giuseppe is generally polite and courteous, though he will often brush off questions regarding the location of 2201-1 or other questions that he deems intrusive. He is capable of fulfilling any requests made to him in line with the functions of a mundane barbershop, along with more antiquated functions such as teeth removal or surgery, and has been noted to perform any requested functions extremely well.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2202 SCP-2202]] - A Brief Respite
'''SCP-2202''' is a phenomenon affecting residential apartment complexes in Asia. When 2202 occurs, affected apartments will undergo a drastic change in their internal environment and climate. This change results in the interior taking on the characteristics of various natural scenes, from dense tropical jungles to frigid tundra wastelands. In all manifestations, the resultant environment only contains natural landforms and wildlife, with a lack of civilization. Any environmental samples removed from the apartment will immediately undergo a complex chemical reaction, expiring and/or collapsing into dust. The exterior dimensions of the apartment will not restrain the interior space created by the anomaly. While 2202 is active, exterior walls of the apartment will be rendered effectively indestructible. Rooms visible through windows from outside the building will appear to be physically unchanged, apart from being dimly lit by a luminescent blue light. The apartment affected will also be inaccessible from any entrance apart from the front door. Individuals affected by these events, however, have displayed little to no shock or resistance to the environment generated by 2202. During a 2202 event, occupants of the apartment will be able to roam freely in the environment manifested. When interviewed, they display little to no shock or resistance to the phenomenon, and describe their experiences in the environment as helpful for stress relief.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2203 SCP-2203]] - Find the One for You!
'''SCP-2203''' is a "Love Tester'' machine constructed from American chestnut wood, brass, and glass, with a brass handgrip on the front and topped with a tall lightbox. On the back of the machine is a small plaque listing "The Great Amusementology Company" as the manufacturer. When activated, the lightbox cycles through each light while a beeping melody is played. Based on the measured skin conductivity of the subject holding the handgrip, the lightbox indicates a supposed "score" of the subject's romantic appeal. Unlike other love testers, 2203 dispenses a card displaying the name and address of a person, along with a few words of advice about approaching said person, all of whom have been proven to exist. Subjects who approach the person named on the card report finding an easy bond between them being created, as if the subject implicitly understands them. Subsequent interviews with the person approached also indicate a reciprocation of positive emotional connections with the subject. Sexual, romantic, and otherwise intimate relationships between the subject and the person have been determined by interview to be long-lasting, with marriage and full expectation of a happy life being common results.

'''SCP-2205''', evidently, were two identical/yet separate iterations of '''Dwight Patterson''', a former soldier in the United States Army who served in the 1944 landings at Normandy. Both versions of Dwight were married to a woman named '''Amanda Montgomery''', and were survived by at least one child after death. The first version of Dwight was said to have been killed via an [=MG42=] gunshot to the chest while storming the beaches. The second version was dismissed with honors for multiple heroic actions during the landings and died of an aortic aneurysm in 2005. Both Dwights were classified as anomalous because conflicting information regarding either of them held the ability to significantly modify the properties of both the past and the present day.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2206 SCP-2206]] - Maximum League Baseball
'''SCP-2206''' is a series of radio broadcasts that began occurring throughout the continental United States in 2008. These broadcasts mainly occur during the evening, usually coinciding with a region's baseball games. It is currently theorized that 2206 is an inter-universal broadcast from an alternate universe significantly different from our own. The content of 2206 is a sports commentary and discussion show. While the focus of this show is a sport referred to as baseball, the sport is significantly different from any known version of baseball played on Earth. Differences include high-strength fences surrounding the field for the protection of spectators, frequent and legitimate on-field fights between opposing teams, mandatory use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs, serious injuries and fatalities are significantly more common, and the fact that players are a various mix of creatures, automatons, and anomalous humanoids. The commentators, who are by all indications baseline humans, treat these differences as usual and normal, providing commentary very similar in tone and style to that of a normal sports talk radio show.
-----
* {{Atlantis}}: The Florida Flounders are mentioned to play against the Atlantis Aquatics every year.
* BloodSport: This universe's baseball seems to lead to casualties and injuries often, whether in-game or not.
* DeadlyGame: SCP-2206 consists of baseball broadcasts from a universe where baseball is very weird.
* FishPeople: The Florida Flounders are entirely amphibious.
* HomeFieldAdvantage: The Colorado Blizzards play in a field perpetually covered in snow. Inverted by the Montreal Volcanoes playing in a crater that when erupts, kills without distinction!
* MultipleReferencePun: Detroit Wolverines have the name from the state's college sport ([[UsefulNotes/PowerFiveConferences University of Michigan]]) and [[Comicbook/{{Wolverine}} are noted to be immortal]]. * PunnyName: Synonyms (''Met''ropolitan''s'' - Urbans; Twins - Clones), similar words (the "Cardinals" are priests instead of birds), references to the city (Phoenix Firebirds)...
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: In the SCP-2006 radio broadcasts, the Baltimore Terrapins' team mascot is a three-ton, [[SuperSpit acid-spitting]] lizard that weighs 3 tons and is able to [[SpikeShooter fire poisonous spines that grow from its back.]]
* ShoutOut: There's a large number of references to both pop culture and the real life MLB:
** Several teams [[note]]Baltimore Terrapins, Chicago Orphans, Detroit Wolverines, Houston Colt .45s, New York Highlanders; in addition, the Tampa Bay Devils are an obvious take on the Devil Rays, as are the Seattle Autopilots to the Seattle Pilots[[/note]] have names that real-life baseball teams used to have. Two others [[note]]Kansas City Kings (basketball), Phoenix Firebirds (arena football; possibly unintentional)[[/note]] are based off former teams from other sports, and one [[note]]St. Louis Cardinals[[/note]] is a legitimate current baseball team, albeit with their team name meaning something different.
** The Boston {{Red Shirt}}s have a habit of [[Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries frequently dying]].
** The Chicago Black Sox attempted to fix the 1919 World Series, winning in a four-game sweep "to the confusion of all involved". This is a reference to the real life "Black Sox" scandal, where the Chicago White Sox attempted to fix the 1919 World Series. [[note]]The "confusion" part may come from the fact the real-life series was best-of-nine, requiring five wins to take the series, not four.[[/note]]
** The Cleveland Exiles are mentioned as not having played in Cleveland since 1900. In real life, the Cleveland Spiders became a travel team halfway through 1899 because of a lack of gate receipts.
** The Los Angeles Defectors and San Francisco Ghosts [[note]]formerly the Brooklyn Excelsiors and New York Gothams; both of these are former real-life team names[[/note]] were forcibly transplanted from Brooklyn and New York respectively, in 1958, escaping a plot by the New York Highlanders. This is an obvious take on the real Brooklyn Dodgers' move to Los Angeles and New York Giants' move to San Francisco.
** The New York Urbans and Baltimore Terrapins faced each other in the 1969 World Series, a parallel to the real-life New York Mets and Baltimore Orioles. In this universe, the "Murderin' Urbans" assassinated the Terrapins' roster, leading to a ban on off-field murder that wouldn't be lifted until 2000--another year in which the real-life Mets reached the World Series.
** The Oakland Elephants are a reference to the real Oakland Athletics' logo, which is an elephant.
** The Texas Renegades quit the league in 1993 to play basketball, returning in 1995. In effect, they did the reverse of UsefulNotes/MichaelJordan, who quit basketball to play baseball.

'''SCP-2207''' is a disposable plastic knife identical to other non-anomalous brands. When the cutting edge of 2207 reaches a minimum speed of 6m/s, it severs local space-time, creating a rift that connects to a random alternate universe. These rifts, designated '''SCP-2207-1''', typically last for five minutes without outside intervention, and their length is equal to the distance 2207 traveled at or above 6m/s. They remain stationary after creation, but may be widened by pulling along the edges, able to be kept artificially open for a maximum of 24 hours. After 24 hours, the rift closes, severing any material crossing the threshold.

The internal surface of 2209 is composed of white HDPE plastic with an array of electrical lighting and evenly spaced, circular plates of a currently unidentified metal alloy. '''SCP-2209-2''' is a full-body suit composed of an inner layer of elastane and a thin outer layer of dark neoprene. Multiple metal nodes on the limbs, hands, chest, and spine of the suit are connected by a complex network of wiring. It has two arms and a head, though lacks legs, and instead moves through hopping on an elongated trunk. 2212 also emits moderate and variable quantities of light at various points throughout the spectrum, including as gamma ray. Measurements indicate that a person standing one meter away from 2212 for one minute would typically be exposed to about 0.3 Sv, enough to cause mild radiation poisoning and long-term increase of cancer risk. 2212 is sapient and highly intelligent, capable of speaking and understanding most common languages, and learns new ones rapidly. Beyond this production, the doorway appears entirely mundane. A special covering found with the doorway upon discovery can be used to prevent the production of instances. While covered, 2213 produces audible vibrations at the same regular intervals as production events, however the covering has proven capable of preventing such events entirely. While superficially similar to humans, 2213-1 lack the capacity for complex thought. They are also completely hairless, and require little nutrition to survive, and are resistant to injury due to redundant internal organs. Their visual acuity is reduced significantly due to vertical slit pupils, while night vision is dramatically increased. Despite lacking obvious sensory organs for the processing of auditory input, 2213-1 have displayed behavior consistent with a capacity to observe sound.

They are unusually long for documents of their nature, presumably to deter consumers from reading to the end. Near the end of the contract are three clauses believed to bring about distinct but related anomalous effects. 2221's lack of effect on the majority of human subjects, including D-Class personnel, makes direct experimentation difficult, but the Foundation has performed extensive analysis on populations believed to be affected. Individuals are assumed to be instances of '''SCP-2221-A''' if they have created an account on a website or downloaded software known to host an instance of 2221. Behavioral changes observed in 2221-A populations include a greatly increased voter turnout and political activism, increased interest in religion and issues of religious identity, community punishment for deviating from religious law, often in the form of shaming, and religious art incorporating nooses, or patterns resembling nooses with unusual frequency.

'''SCP-2222''' is an airlock composed of two opaque hermetic plug doors and a cylindrical (3.6 m in diameter) chamber within a space station designated '''Orbital Unit-09'''. Organisms entering 2222 precipitate immediate anomalous effects. Upon entrance, the inner hermetic door will seal and entrap the organism. The airlock will remain sealed for approximately three minutes prior to the door reopening and the organism re-emerging. Upon re-emergence, organisms exhibit complete organic and structural reversion, remaining alive despite theoretically fatal alterations to their physical forms. Affected human subjects are capable of communication through vocalizing individual words in reverse, and become physically incapable of vocalizing in intelligible format unless prompted to do so. As a result, immediate communication has proven impossible due to incomprehension.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2223 SCP-2223]] - Spamdexing Anime Images
'''SCP-2223''' is a collection of digital PNG images that depict a woman of an indeterminate young age in an anime style. 2223 most commonly depicts its subject with a red and white school uniform, although certain instances have shown alternative or absent attire. Although the exact portrayal of the subject varies across instances, physical characteristics such as eye color, hair color, and bodily proportions remain constant in all versions, concluding that all 2223 versions were intended to depict a single entity designated '''SCP-2223-A'''. The primary anomalous effect of 2223 is their ability to manipulate search algorithms to rank them near the top of the results for certain keyword or phrase inputs to which they would ordinarily be irrelevant. Despite obvious differences to the human eye, computers report high similarity between 2223 and visually unrelated images relevant to affected keywords. Any human who views an instance of 2223 will feel a strong compulsion to share the image through any means possible, either sending it on other forms of electronic media or drawing a non-anomalous reproduction within their natural artistic ability.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2224 SCP-2224]] - Teeter-Pult
'''SCP-2224''' is a four-person teeter-totter made of wood and metal, which resembles an older style of teeter-totter no longer widely produced due to safety regulations in most countries. Each of 2224's seats have a single letter engraved into the wood where the rider would be positioned; A, B, Ø, and D. 2224's effects only occur if a rider is sitting on the "A" or "Ø" seats, with another rider on the opposite end of the board. The "A" seat's effect is initiated when both it and the "B" seat are occupied by riders. When the rider on the "A" seat pushes off from the ground, the rider will experience the feeling of being launched off the object, approximately 2.2 to 3 meters straight above the seat. When the "B" rider pushes off the ground, the "A" rider will then feel as if they are falling back down on the seat at a velocity to be expected from their perceived height in the air. The anomalous effect of the "Ø" seat is initiated in a similar manner as the "A" seat's, with riders occupying both the "Ø" and "D" seats instead. It differs in that the "D" rider must stay in the ground position for longer than 1.2 seconds after the "Ø" rider reaches their apex. Unlike the "A" seat, riders on the "Ø" seat can have experiences that vary greatly in perceived time and velocity, depending on how long the "D" rider stays in the ground position.

'''SCP-2225''' is a serpentine entity possessing two forelegs and a spined, lizardlike head. A crest of multicolored hair runs the length of 2225's back, consistent in composition with human hair. It is capable of limited communication, though it appears to have difficulty forming words correctly and its speech is halting. 2225 is believed to be sapient, and based on interviews, seems to possess a simplistic mindset. 2225 is able, at irregular intervals, to materialize small trinkets of silver from its hair crest, usually followed by regurgitation of hair samples. 2225 becomes aggressive when personnel attempt to take these objects by force, but it has given away all items that pertain to Foundation personnel whose hair it has consumed.

'''SCP-2226''' is an extraterrestrial escape craft composed entirely of antimatter. The object is ellipsoid in shape and constructed from an alloy of the antimatter counterparts of iron, tin, and nickel with a mass of 847 kg. In the center is a 0.73 m wide circular, transparent hatch through which the object's interior is visible. 2226 broadcasts a 2.15 kHz radio transmission every 7 seconds, approximately 5 seconds in length. Transmission contents vary slightly from broadcast to broadcast and seem to express the object's positional coordinates for any vessels within range of the signal. Inside 2226 is a compact control panel with several knobs and levers that seem to control the object's maneuvering thrusters and radio transmitter. Beside the control panel is a vaguely humanoid entity resting within what is believed to be a suspended animation chamber. Designated '''SCP-2226-1''', the entity possesses a deep mauve coloration and two pairs of upper limbs and a single pair of lower limbs connected to its torso. Its upper limbs terminate in a hand with seven webbed fingers while its lower limbs terminate in feet with seven shorter digits. 2226-1 lacks a distinct head, instead having its main sensory structures centered in its torso. As no eyes or photoreceptive organs are visible on the creature's body, it is assumed to perceive its surroundings through echolocation.

Each instance is identified by a secondary humanoid figure with variable attire following it (hereby designated '''SCP-2227-A'''), which can only be viewed via recorded video. A 2227 instance initially manifests near the turnstiles of a station. In 80 percent of manifestations, the entity will jump the turnstile or enter through the emergency door to gain access to the station. After it has successfully entered the station, it will begin panhandling. After an undetermined period of time, the instance will be likely to propel itself into the path of an oncoming train. Upon contact with the train, the instance will demanifest.

By thinking in the appropriate language, individuals are capable of initiating or responding to communication from Sextus. The entity is not thought to have a physical form, but is capable of manipulating matter through anomalous means. When an individual communicating with Sextus focuses on a particular object or group of objects, Sextus is capable of causing that object or group of objects to spontaneously disappear. Similarly, when an individual communicating with it focuses on a particular location, it is capable of causing an object or group of objects to spontaneously appear at that location.

A Foundation investigation conducted in 2012 connected 2230 to a string of unusual medical reports across Illinois and Wisconsin, dating back to 1985. This investigation has resulted in the identification of 187 individuals that 2230 has performed unlicensed medical operations on. Each of these individuals, designated '''SCP-2230-1''', have been medically examined by Foundation specialists. While the majority of 2230-1 appear outwardly normal, X-ray examination reveals clear abnormalities within the cranium, often having large portions replaced with machinery or circuitry from common household objects.

Each person claimed to go by the name "'''Johnathan Tran'''", born June 17th 1983 and residing in Boise, Idaho. 2231-1, -2, and -3 each had a comprehensive knowledge of the experiences and history of the other two instances, as well as of the supposed shared identity of 2231. All instances showed a strong preference to respond to questions about their past with information pertinent to the history of '''SCP-2231-4''', the actual Johnathan Tran, as opposed to their own physical history. The anomaly was considered Neutralized when Johnathan was fatally injured after assaulting a Foundation guard, prompting 2231-1, -2, and -3 to suffer a complete lack of higher brain function.

'''SCP-2232''' is a series of smartphones superficially resembling a sky-blue Samsung Galaxy S4, running on a modified version of the Android operating system listed as "Delicious Sunflower Seeds". 2232's casing has so far resisted all attempts to be opened, and any attempts to do so have resulted in the device vibrating violently and emitting a loud, squawking noise. Using 2232 to call a valid telephone number causes it to transform into a common hill myna, which then appears to reproduce via budding to produce a second, smaller myna. The second instance, designated '''SCP-2232-A''', will attempt to fly directly towards the location of the dialed telephone. Once it has reached its destination, 2232-A will attempt to attract the attention of the nearest human being by mimicking loud noises like alarms or heavy machinery, or flapping its wings in their face. From this point onwards, both birds will function as a two-way voice transmission system, with speech addressed to the former instantaneously vocalized by the latter and vice versa. The call can be terminated any time by grabbing either myna and turning it gently upside-down, resulting in 2232 reverting to its smartphone form, and 2232-A disappearing in a puff of carbon dust. Different species have been recorded to perform different smartphone functions, such as homing pigeons for text messages and pelicans for Airplane Mode. The avian forms of 2232 will stop for food and water along their journeys, rest when tired, and have been known to ride on vehicles to reach their destinations.

The book contains theories on pseudo-academic subjects, such as "Polylogue" as an improvement of conversing, "Problemology" as a discipline concerning various life issues, or "Neonovoplatonism" as a religiously philosophical practice. The anomalous properties of 2233-1 manifest when placed in close proximity to other paper media. After about 3–5 hours, the media starts to mention sociosophy in various forms. '''SCP-2233-2''' is a designation for lectures on various disciplines of sociosophy by people who have read 233-1. These occur mainly in college environments, such as universities, mensas, or fraternities, where 2233-1 instances are often given out. Uncontained 2233-2 events constitute a major containment breach and if left unchecked, amount to a IK class end-of-the-world scenario "Information breakdown".

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2234 SCP-2234]] - Great Deals on Pineal Removal
'''SCP-2234''' are anomalous computer viruses that are able to take advantage of a class of injection attacks, in which an instance will modify its own contents while in storage, bypassing normal sanitization routines. Two classes of these viruses remain uncontained and have yet to be neutralized: '''SCP-2234-567''' and '''SCP-2234-727'''. The former can be used to attach animated graphical advertisements (designated '''SCP-2234-567-A''') to printed documents, often in a way that obscures or obstructs the original text. When a subject makes tactile contact or otherwise touches an instance with any type of pointing device, they frequently report experiencing vivid hallucinations and may contract serious memetic infection or receive bodily harm. The latter causes an infected user's social media contacts to spontaneously send the infected user targeted advertisements. These include unusual references to particular brand names, recommendations that a user purchase a specific product or service, or links to product websites. These advertisements are frequently targeted based on confidential information that the sender would not have any way of knowing.

Any non-organic medium storing information about these individuals or URA-9611 will undergo a process of autonomous alteration and/or accelerated decay, largely through being erased from existence. The rate at which this occurs is apparently proportional to three major factors: the availability of the information to a casual observer, the clarity and accuracy of the information, and the quantity of subjects with prior knowledge of the method of conveyance. Affected Organic storage methods experience selective retrograde amnesia, losing all direct memories of both URA-9611 and its subjects over the course of approximately two months.

'''SCP-2241''' is '''Cameron''', a seven-year-old, brown-haired child who possesses minor telekinetic abilities and is showing signs of latent reality bending. More specifically, he shows the ability to manipulate objects he can see within approximately six meters of himself. In addition to this, manipulated objects may teleport or be changed slightly, implying a more general reality bending ability. Cameron is considered a good candidate for long-term/intensive research into telekinesis and reality bending, as well as anomalous humanoids in general. For his proper containment procedures, Cameron, who thinks of himself as a superhero, has been led to believe that the Foundation is an organization of superheroes who maintain custody of him for his protection, and so that they can learn to understand his powers and use them to develop more "superheroes".
-----
* AbusiveParents: During an interview with him, it's heavily hinted at that Cameron's parents were abusive towards him and to each other, at least on an emotional level. Apparently [[RealityWarper his powers]] would subconciously manifest at times when he heard them fighting, after which they would just get "distracted" for a moment before going back to arguing.

--> ''"I hate them. I'm a Foundation 'venger and I hate the bad guys and I'm gonna fight them all."''
* ChildSoldier: What his real role in the Foundation is, while he's gaslighted into believing he's doing superhero work. He's outright called as such by O5-4 during the very heated discussion between the O5 and the Ethics Committee about the situation. Taken to its logical extreme during SCP-5000's AlternateTimeline, where [[spoiler:he was used as [[PersonOfMassDestruction a living weapon]] to eradicate not only the GOC, but ''what was left of humanity''.]]

* RealityWarper: The true nature of his powers, even though he himself doesn't know it.
* RestrainingBolt: What the monitoring chip Researcher Valdez wants to implant in his brain is meant to serve as. Whether it will/would actually work or not, that's anyone's guess. It would also double as an ExplosiveLeash of sorts.

--> '''SCP-2241:''' So it fights bad guys? Like [[Series/AgentsOfSHIELD SHIELD]] and the [[Film/TheAvengers2012 'vengers?]]
--> '''Valdez:''' That's right, Cameron. Like the Avengers.
* TrainingFromHell: Cameron's CreepyChild traits only manifested after he became mentally unstable by the merciless testing he went through at the hands of the Foundation researchers, masqueraded as superhero training. The Foundation also simulated situations of real danger where Cameron would get forced into using his powers, either to be a hero (Saving helpless D-Class "civilians") or to save himself. Said situations included but were not limited to hiding a bomb in his personal belongings and a long-range surprise attack by a robotic mortar.
* {{Tykebomb}}: What the Foundation's testing of his abilities has turned him into. It should be noted that the intended main goal of the tests it's not to use him as a ChildSoldier to deploy in combat, but [[ForScience to understand better how the brain of an anomalous humanoid works and develops]]. Or at least, that's what [[PsychoPsychologist Researcher Valdez]] claims it is for.
* UnstablePoweredChild: At first, until the Foundation trains him. However, their training results in the boy becoming more powerful and angry, so a conflict between the Ethics Committee and the trainers occurs. The trainers win due to their belief that the explosive tracking chip they implanted in his head will kill him if he tries anything, but his gaining of telekinesis powers leads the readers to believe otherwise.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: An abused kid with weak, underdeveloped reality-bending powers who loved superhero comics, turned into a CreepyChild {{Tykebomb}} "superhero" [[BewareTheSuperman with way too much power on his hands]]. And that's not even getting into what could possibly happen if he ever finds out that the Foundation lied to him and has just been using him as a human guinea pig this whole time, or if the RestrainingBolt plan fails horribly...

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2242 SCP-2242]] - Technical Difficulties
'''SCP-2242''' is a phenomenon affecting FOS 14.1 software and all records accessed using it. 2242 is currently understood to be an extradimensional connection to the intranet servers of the Foundation from an alternate timeline, designated '''SCP-2242-1'''. To date, these two versions of the Foundation have only been able to interact by minor footnotes and bibliographic reference alterations to documents with shared intranet locations. Notations from baseline reality have the conventional "Footnotes" titling of the in-text and post-text citations. Access to the 2242-1 version of documents occurs at random intervals when attempting to access any intranet location extant within both realities, and it is understood that this effect is comparable within 2242-1. 2242-1 itself has thus far been understood to conform to the same theories of physics as believed to govern the baseline reality, to which current estimates hypothesize to be approximately 97% identical to said reality.

The subject is able to converse with the finches with no observable long-term effects, though any subjects outside this radius will perceive them as sounding like normal finches, while also perceiving the subject as imitating "peeping" or "chirping" noises instead of normal human speech or writing, even when viewed remotely. The finches seem to have the intelligence and understanding of a human toddler approximately 2-3 years of age. The pair acknowledge that they are both "different" than other subjects, but possess no knowledge beyond what a normal finch raised for commercial purposes would be expected to know.

'''SCP-2245''' is a 2 meter quadrupedal mammal with dark brown hair. The creature possesses several traits found in other animals, including a prehensile trunk, tusks, retractable claws on its front and rear limbs, large, circular ears, and a long, thin tail with hair at the end. Despite not displaying sapient qualities, 2245 is highly intelligent, and has predominantly demonstrated positive and playful reactions towards researchers when unprovoked. It further displays protective behavior towards sleeping humans, with the effect being more pronounced for children under the age of thirteen. 2245's anomalous effects manifest when a human subject enters REM sleep while within approximately 5 meters of it. Rather than enter REM sleep, the subject will enter a previously undiscovered phase of sleep ('''SCP-2245-2'''). While in 2245-2, a subject will experience a lack of dreams, but will report feeling extremely well rested after awakening, even more so than after experiencing conventional REM sleep. Continued exposure to 2245-2 has shown to cause a slight decrease in the long-term memory, problem solving ability, and mental acuteness. While a human subject is experiencing 2245-2, 2245 activates a second anomaly. While the process is not fully understood, the creature begins a process similar to digestion, seemingly linked to the human brain waves formed in 2245-2, which creates standard nutrients and waste products in the entity's digestive tract.

'''SCP-2246''' are volumes written by a Hispanic humanoid who appears around 20 years old, claims to have originated from Brazil, and displays no need for sustenance or bodily functions ('''SCP-2246-1'''), identified by the pen-name "'''Phoenix Snow'''". New text manifests in each current unfinished volume as though manually typewritten, at an infrequent and inconsistent rate. A new unfinished volume will manifest with the other volumes when the current volume reaches a conclusion, typically between 10 to 900 pages. All volumes contain little in the way of a linear, coherent narrative, instead being written via stream-of-consciousness. When a page is held open for more than five seconds, the text will be read aloud in 2246-1's disembodied voice, its tone subdued and nervous. The final page of each instance contains an opening which subjects can pass through to enter the space where 2246-1 resides. If this space is accessed from finished volumes, it will display a scene from the story. If 2246-1 is encountered in a finished volume, it will not acknowledge any subjects in the area, and will continue to perform its current actions without speaking.

'''SCP-2248''' is a shrine on the shore of an uninhabited island in Croatia, in the Adriatic Sea. Its architecture resembles that of the Ancient Roman ''templum'', and inscriptions in Latin and Koine Greek within the shrine reference an entity called "'''Luna Primogenita'''". Specimens of purple amaranth and Mediterranean cypress are capable of growing inside 2248, but seeds from other species of plant are unable to germinate, and other plants that have been replanted into 2248 will gradually wither. '''SCP-2248-A''' is an approximately two-meter tall statue of the Roman deity Diana, constructed from marble with traces of silver, and affixed onto an altar inside 2248's central chamber. When an individual directly observes 2248-A, their sensory perceptions of the Moon and Sun are altered. Affected subjects are able to see under low light conditions when the Moon is visible in the night sky, and are susceptible to retinopathy through direct observation of the Moon. They are also capable of viewing the Sun directly without detriment, claiming that it is perpetually in a solar eclipse.

'''SCP-2249''' is an extra-dimensional space located inside the hospital of a former Russian town. The area within 2249 resembles an old-growth pine forest, with plant life exhibiting signs of extreme malnourishment and light deprivation. A dim gray "sun" is always stationary within 2249's sky at a 12 pm position, providing a dull light. The space within 2249 is looped internally; any subjects approaching the border will find themselves on the opposite border, with no signs of transition. Entrance to 2249 is through an elevator on the first floor of the hospital, in which is a single Douglas fir on a bed of grass. '''SCP-2249-1''' is the residence of the apparent creator of 2249, whose body is found within. Most of the space within 2249-1 is filled with working machinery and various scrap metal and wiring. This device is functional, as evidenced by the stability of 2249-1, the surrounding area, and the path exiting 2249. Research is focused on replicating this device or increasing its area of effect in order to stabilize the entirety of 2249.

'''SCP-2250''' is a memetic contagion exclusively affecting various species of waterfowl in and around Bloch Park in Selma, Alabama, evidently spread through interspecies communication. Affected animals, designated '''SCP-2250-1''', will cease movement, open their beaks, and produce a series of sounds between 25 - 32 [=kHz=]. Dogs within a range of up to 2 km show a general tendency to move towards the point of origin for these sounds. After 1.3 seconds, both characters and all loose items will fall out of frame and into the "sky". The camera then follows Will and Carlton falling into open sky. After approximately 4 minutes, both characters appear to begin suffering from the effects of atmospheric hypoxia, before appearing to lose consciousness. At 12 minutes and 46 seconds, a single object falls in the opposite direction through the frame. After 22 minutes, the episode ends when Will cracks a joke to the camera. When played, the episode will appear to have its vertical and horizontal axes inverted, which persists regardless of the orientation of the viewer. Written descriptions of the episode are similarly inverted, as if they were "flipped-turned upside-down". The only way for the effect to be temporarily corrected is to hum or sing the show's theme song.

'''SCP-2254''' is '''La Hire''', a hostile, massive, incorporeal entity contained within the town of Fallon, Alabama, only visible through infrared cameras. La Hire's form is that of a wildly distorted humanoid, roughly 12.8m in height, with extremely distended arms and six legs, a misshapen neck and face, and thick shoulder length hair. Its skin is dark and mottled, and aside from six eyes arranged in two vertical columns of three per side, its face is otherwise featureless, lacking a nose or mouth. La Hire is seemingly capable of influencing human decision-making by altering cognition and manipulating young humans into copulation who would not otherwise be driven to do so. When a pairing of targets comes together and begins interacting sexually, the being will lower its face to be level with the pair and will stare until the act is finished. There is a significant chance that the mother will become pregnant with an anomalous fetus designated '''SCP-2254-1'''. Subjects who become pregnant as a result of La Hire's influence will experience rapid growth of 2254-1's fetal structure, which will quickly take on non-human characteristics. Resembling spindly, vertically elongated giraffes or brachiosauruses, adults grew to over 1,000 meters in height and weighed 4 tons, with most of their mass being "camouflaged" by a very similar adaptation. With broad, dish-shaped feet, they were able to walk directly on the surface of the ocean without sinking. They were reluctant to approach land, especially inhabited islands, usually staying more than 30 kilometers offshore.were a species of gargantuan sauropod-like creatures that lived in the ocean around Polynesia. '''SCP-2269''' is an elderly Irish-American woman, 87 years of age, who suffers from a mild case of Alzheimer's, but is otherwise physiologically normal. '''SCP-2269-2''' is a colony of spiders that appears to inhabit 2269's body, consisting of over 20,000 individuals from over 580 identified species. Instances have been observed freely moving through her clothing and entering and exiting her orifices without generating discomfort in any way. 2269-2's primary purpose appears to be the maintenance of 2269's health. Whenever she is injured, 2269-2 will work together to attempt repairs of the damage inflicted with their silk. 2269 is either unable or unwilling to communicate with Foundation personnel regarding her current condition, but expresses agitation when instances of 2269-2 are removed for testing purposes.
-----
* BodyHorror: SCP-2269-1 (the titular grandma) is infested by a colony of spiders (SCP-2269-2) that repair any of her injuries with their silk and freely move in and out of her orifices (without causing her pain, however).

* TheVoiceless: She doesn't talk.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2270 SCP-2270]] An Unnecessary Utilization of Excessive Force
'''SCP-2270''' is a collection of occult information, incantations, and rituals pertaining to '''Nergal''', the Mesopotamian god of war and the Sun. The information can take many forms, but it is believed that the original source of these incantations is a series of eight texts by Renaissance author and philosopher Sorin Vasilica. These texts, collectively translated '''''Appeal to Ereshkigal''''' and designated '''SCP-2270-A''', are written in sporadic, occasionally nonsensical prose, which will occasionally devolve into extremely intricate and complicated explanations of rituals and incantations required to persuade Nergal to attack a large, overwhelming enemy force with a force exceeding most modern nuclear weapons. The ritual has only been successfully completed once by Jerry Hubert of Augusta, Montana, with the Foundation acquiring his edition of the texts from his car after he crashed into a tree while drunk driving and died instantly.
-----
* ComplexityAddiction: Jerry Hubert's solution to not being able to convince the police to take action against Dave is to spend $75,000 on a 8-volume-long series of books containing an incredibly intricate and complex ritual that could destroy overwhelming opponents, and use it himself against Dave.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Jerry Hubert smote his neighbor Dave with divine wrath for parking in the wrong place and letting his dog poop on Jerry's lawn.
* DoesNotSpeakCommon: Nergal is too far above humanity to understand any of our forms of communication; he doesn't even directly understand his wife's language.
* EvilIsPetty: Jerry Hubert went to the trouble of paying $75, 000 to obtain all eight volumes of ''Appeal to Ereshkigal'', completing the ludicrously overcomplicated ritual and reading a 400-page-long prayer without pausing or misspeaking even once, all to the end of invoking Nergal to smite enemies with a force exceeding that of a nuclear explosion and at the cost of eternal enslavement in the afterlife...to get revenge on his neighbour for letting his dog shit on his lawn.
* GiantHandsOfDoom: Nergal manifests as a giant hand reaching down from the sun to crush the ritual's target
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: If the pursuant fails the ritual at its final stage (reading a 400-page long prayer without ever pausing or misspeaking), Nergal smites them instead of their target. This is believed to have happened to the original author of the texts, Sorin Vasilica.
* LaserGuidedKarma:
** Almost everyone who attempts to use the ritual outlined in ''Appeal to Ereshkigal'' to invoke Nergal to smite their enemies ends up being smote themselves due to failing to complete all the ridiculously convoluted steps, including the text's author Sorin Vasilica.
** Jerry succeeds in completing the almost impossible ritual to summon Nergal and using it to smite his annoying neighbour, then decides to celebrate by drinking an entire 12-pack of beer, crashes his car into a tree while driving drunk and dies immediately.
* LanguageBarrier: Two of them; the ritualist must first translate their request into Ereshkigal's language, and then she has to convey it to Nergal via sex, because they don't share a language either.
* LeaveYourQuestTest: The 6th volume, ''Acceptance of Eternal Consequences'', acts as one for the pursuant, warning them of the horrible consequences that will befall them even if they do complete the ritual correctly- namely, that upon death they will be condemned to Nergal's sun furnace to eternally stoke the flames of its hatred. Jerry didn't think it was for real.
* MundaneUtility: A curse that brings down the wrath of Nergal upon an overwhelming enemy force? Perfect for getting rid of your annoying neighbor.
* NoKillLikeOverkill: The ritual is intended to completely destroy entire armies (and the estimated energy release is comparable to volcanic eruptions and the most powerful nuclear weapons ever built). Jerry used it against one normal human man.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Jerry Hubert managed to successfully complete 6 volumes worth of intricate rituals followed by reciting a 400+ page prayer perfectly, and all the Foundation saw was the results of the ritual going off.
* RecursiveTranslation: The books are written in Romanian, the ritual involves translating your request into Ereshkigal's language, and she in turn translates the request into Nergal's language so he can do the smiting.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2271 SCP-2271]] - Factory Loans
'''SCP-2271''' is a phenomenon currently affecting small populations in the American midwest. 2271 manifests directly as a plain white envelope containing a letter detailing collections of student loans. After initial delivery, subjects who receive the letter, designated '''SCP-2271-A''', become extremely agitated and obsessed with the repayment of the amount owed. They will begin to sell all of their personal belongings and assets, attempting to mail the collected cash to an address listed on the letter. Attempting to hinder 2271-A from making these payments will often lead to violent outbursts by the subject, who will aggressively maintain that they must meet the impossible repayment schedule or face consequences from the collection agency. During this phase, 2271-A will begin to claim seeing unclear, humanoid entities on the edge of their vision, "fast-moving" and "clouded in thick smoke". Ultimately, the debtor will inevitably die from having sold off vital organs, or disasppear as a result of the punishment for failing to pay.
-----
* EvilDebtCollector: SCP-2271-1 imposes an impossible-to-pay debt on the victim, then drives them mad with visual hallucinations of shadowy figures and a violent desire to pay off the debt by any means necessary, including emptying monetary accounts and selling off possessions, their loved ones, and their own body parts. When the debtor [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption inevitably fails to pay up a second time]], they vanish as the consequence of the outstanding debt.
* FailureIsTheOnlyOption: No matter what actions SCP-2271-1 victims take, they ''will'' die. Either they die from removing their own organs to sell them, they sell their entire remaining body, or they disappear after the second time they fail the payment deadline.
* SenselessSacrifice: Victims will attempt to pay off the debt by any means, even if it involves selling off their needs and their own bodies...yet never at any point will their debt ever decrease.
* ShockinglyExpensiveBill: The exact amount is redacted, but it's stated that even if you sell off everything on the entire planet, you would still not pay off the debt fully.
* YouAreAlreadyDead: The moment you receive an instance of SCP-2271-1, you're pretty much screwed, since you now have an impossibly large debt and the inevitable consequence of failing to pay it off is that you vanish. Assuming you don't ship your entire body away before then. Which also is implied to kill you, since items you ship off for the purpose of paying off the debt disappear once you pack them, never to be seen again.

'''SCP-2274''' is a metallic statue of an indeterminate color, depicting a humanoid figure, with a clearly defined torso and head with limbs that taper to points, standing upright on a square base. Any human being who views 2274 will halt all activity and assume a neutral standing position, staring fixedly at the statue. Subjects seem incapable of autonomously performing any task other than remaining upright, including the basic requirements for living, succumbing to dehydration when left alone. Subjects under the influence of 2274 do not respond to communication unless asked "What do you do?", to which they invariably respond "I stand as he stands." When asked "What does he do?", they invariably respond "He stands because he must." If the subject is forced to assume a seated position, or if 2274 is removed from a subject's line of sight, the subject will react violently, attacking whomever is instigating the change until incapacitated.

'''SCP-2282''' was a female mammal externally identical to a common domesticated goat. 2282's digestive tract was a highly non-Euclidean array of spatial distortions warped to increase its internal volume to at least seventeen thousand cubic meters, consisting of over 8000 separate stomachs. The digestive tract is complicated and nonlinear with seemingly no organized purpose. The total mass of 2282 is at least sixteen million kilograms, but externally appears to have a normal mass for a goat of its apparent breed. 2282 consumes matter by incorporating the space containing said matter into its own body. The space is removed from an area near the mouth while grazing, and manipulated so its exterior is shrunk as it is transported to the digestive tract.
-----
* AlienGeometries: SCP-2282 appeared to be a normal goat. Its digestive tract was a set of non-Euclidean spatial distortions that [[BiggerOnTheInside increased its internal volume to at least 17,000 cubic meters]], made up of more than 8,000 separate stomachs.
* BiggerOnTheInside: Before it was euthanized, SCP-2282's digestive tract had a volume of at least 17,000 cubic meters due to its [[AlienGeometries non-Euclidean nature]].
* BodyHorror: While alive, its gigantic digestive tract was contained in a goat-sized package. However, once euthanized, the non-Euclidean digestive tract became Euclidean, resulting in an "explosion" of goat entrails--though "explosion" isn't quite the right word. It was more like a '''''sixty-seven meter''''' bubble of new space, filled with goat entrails, emerged from the animal, which displaced the already-existing space, essentially warping reality itself. As a result, the injuries sustained by the researchers wasn't just mere trauma, but described as "anatomical deformation"--as in, ''they'' were warped along with reality.
* ExtremeOmnigoat: Taken to ludicrous degrees, as it "eats" by simply incorporating the space around objects that enters its mouth into its digestive tract and has more than enough digestive tract to hold it. Post-mortem examination found that the contents of its stomachs included 11 rocks, a stainless steel dresser, almost 200 glue sticks, and ''an entire giraffe skeleton''.
* PosthumousCharacter: The goat in question is deceased as of its article's latest in-universe edit. Incidentally, its death ended up causing ''much'' more trouble than it did while alive.

'''SCP-2296''' is a phenomenon observed in the Antarctic breeding grounds of the emperor penguin, active during the June–July period in which males incubate eggs. When a group of penguins huddles for warmth for at least 12 minutes, pink, dimpled tubes made from polyethylene and collagen emerge from the ground over a period of 20 seconds, containing a gelatinous mixture of protein, fat, and water replenished from an unknown source. Males take turns feeding from this mixture and warming themselves on heated streams of air produced from nozzles on the tubes. When the huddle separates, the tubes retract into the ground, secreting dense ice from the hollow interior to fill any channels left by their movement. The source of the tubes themselves is unknown, as attempts to dig them up cause them to instantly retract into the ground to an unknown depth.

After 2297 has carried out a full, uninterrupted four minutes of its chosen effect, it functions as a normal thermostat until removed and reactivated. Those located within the same room are not concerned with the effects of change in temperature and environment, and do not believe themselves to be in any danger.

'''SCP-2298''' is a city block occupying the confines of a small shed in Italy. The block in question consists of two roads which intersect at the center of the block, and 14 buildings of varying sizes and purposes. 2298 appears to be "boxed in", as the edges of the block lead to solid plastic walls painted to look like a skyline. '''SCP-2298-1''' are 37 sentient polyester resin mannequins which inhabit 2298. They do not appear animate while humans or any recording devices are inside 2298, but will change location at unknown intervals when unobserved. The mannequins display only a vague awareness of human intervention within the city block.

'''SCP-2299''' is an unknown phenomenon which occurs seemingly at random, targeting groups of people between 4 and 600,000 individuals. Over the course of 30-36 hours, 2299 significantly alters the host's mental faculties. Affected individuals typically suffer severe mental degradation and physical damage consistent with traumatic encephalopathy. The most prominent signs involve affected individuals holding fluid conversation despite suffering from severe aphasia. Prior to apparition, affected individuals have described a 30-40 second period of sensory overload, during which they are said to feel momentarily panic-stricken, while having a very strong taste of blood or metal. Following this, 2299's brain-altering effects begin to take place, accompanied by a strong odor of ammonia or formaldehyde.

-----
* AbusiveParents: While it isn't actually a parent as far as we know, it pretends to be the listener's mother and then insults and berates them before emotionally manipulating and browbeating them into doing things that will kill them. It also picks up on Agent Washington having seemingly had an abusive mother and acts accordingly during its call with him.
* ForTheEvulz: Its actual motives are unknown, but Agent Washington speculates that either it's trying to get the Foundation to summon something (explaining why it made one of its victims draw a pentagram) or it just likes tormenting people.
* KarmaHoudini: The Foundation can't ever locate SCP-2315-1, so the best they can do is try and stop it from hurting anyone by not bringing SCP-2315 into contact with anyone else.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2316 SCP-2316]] - Field Trip
Warning: This article contains a cognitohazard. No matter what, remember: '''you do not recognize the bodies in the water'''.

'''SCP-2316''' is a lake shrouded in mist that appears to be filled with floating corpses. Those who look at the corpses will perceive them as people from their past, and will enter the lake to retrieve them, causing them to turn into yet another corpse in the lake.\\\

The source of the cognitohazard is strongly implied to be an independent entity formed from the spirits of the corpses, and has since thrown their lot in with Syncope Symphony due to a number of common goals and origins. Tropes exclusive to their characterization can be found in Syncope's folder at Characters.SCPFoundationGroups.
-----
* AmbiguousSituation: One-sided dialogue transcripts and other context clues from related [=SCPs=] heavily imply SCP-2316's cognitohazard [[spoiler:and the mysterious voice that appears in the article's corruption as a result of it]] is telling the truth (in that the Foundation is at least partially responsible for its creation), but no real confirmation is ever offered.
* ArcWords: "You do not recognize the bodies in the water." Because you don't. No matter what, '''you don't.'''
* BrownNote: SCP-2316 is a cognitohazard, meaning that it affects anyone who sees it, those who see it becoming convinced that they know the bodies from their personal lives. Repeat after me: '''''I do not recognize the bodies in the water'''''.
* ClassTrip: It's in the title. [[spoiler:It's heavily implied that the "original" bodies in the water are Birchwood High's 1975 seniors, who went on a class trip to the lake and drowned there, possibly under the influence of the same thing that was TheManBehindTheMan to Syncope Symphonies.]]
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: Hidden text in the article reveals [[spoiler: edited-in footnotes and a monologue reminiscence about the Birchwood High School's Senior Class of '75, implying that the SCP has somehow [[HauntedTechnology infiltrated the Foundation's database]] and is trying to manipulate the reader into believing they recognize the bodies in the water.]]
* HauntedTechnology: [[spoiler:SCP-2316 unlocks a redacted interview in the article for the reader, and repeatedly edits in footnotes and eventually an entire VillainousMonologue as a disembodied voice convincing them to join it]].
* LuringInPrey: It fools victims into trying to retrieve the corpses from the lake; they always drown in the process. This is why it is imperative that '''you do not recognize the bodies in the water.'''
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: If you believe [[spoiler:the mysterious voice]], the SCP itself, and the remnants of Syncope Symphony, the place has more in common with the Foundation than with the Class of '76 and Syncope. To what extent is never explicitly stated, only that there ''is'' unjust blood on their hands. Well, more so than usual.
* VillainousBreakdown: The entity controlling SCP-2316 becomes increasingly irritated as the reader resists their advances, eventually taking the form of [[spoiler:a passive-aggressive disembodied voice that tries to force its effects onto the reader and eventually succeeding]].
* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: It's theorized that the corpses that make up SCP-2316 are not real, but rather a form that the entity had taken to lure people in.

* TheFool: Given his attitude, it's clear he had this mindset, but not the luck that's supposed to come with it.
* NoodleIncident: One of his deaths was redacted by the Foundation for unknown reasons. All that the accompanying comment clarifies is that "the badgers suffered only minor injuries."
* ResurrectiveImmortality: Comes back to life in another location after dying. The Foundation doesn't know how yet, but they've ruled out reincarnation.

* RunningGag: "Last words were reportedly 'gimme a kiss'."
* TooDumbToLive: His main defining trait is that he always finds the stupidest ways to die, then resurrects and comes back for more. Recorded deaths include going into a puma habitat in a zoo covered in bacon, sleeping in the middle of a freeway, and climbing into an incinerator after mistaking it for a bathroom. Unsurprisingly, the Foundation resorted to just putting him in a coma so that he can't get himself killed ''again''.

* FromASingleCell: Even when the incinerators have completely reduced every speck of an instance to ash, they'll just start reconstituting themselves again as soon as the heat within starts to drop. Thus, containment measures at SCP-2419 mostly boil down to keeping the furnaces going at the highest temperature at all times.

* NighInvulnerable: SCP-2419-A instances are insanely durable thanks to their potent HealingFactor, resisting pretty much everything that the Foundation has brought to bear against them. Even complete incineration only works for as long as the incinerator in question can keep it up, as they'll begin to regenerate immediately after the flames start to die. Out of all the methods they tried, burying the instances in cement was the only thing that managed to stop them for a meaningful amount of time.

-->'''VAV-2''': For what it's worth, Fritz, you weren't so bad for a stuck up German ass.
-->'''VAV-1''': I feel the same way, you headstrong Ami bitch.
* PowerArmor: SCP-2461-B are exoskeletal suits of powered armor made of steel alloy and tailored to fit the individual wearer. The suits provide increased strength and life support in space, and the armor makes the wearer ImmuneToBullets.
* StupidJetpackHitler: SCP-2461 is a set of recovered Nazi artifacts. SCP-2461-A is a flying saucer with X-ray laser turrets, SCP-2461-B are exoskeleton {{Power Armor}}s, SCP-2461-D are X-ray laser pistols and SCP-2461-E are X-ray laser rifles.

'''SCP-2463''' is a bronze horse commissioned by Emperor Valerian of Rome in an attempt to wipe out "the Persian dogs". The horse is capable of rendering nearby land barren and transforming water into oil.
-----
* ExactWords: SCP-2463 was commissioned by the Roman emperor Valerian in the following words: "A force to wipe out the Persian dogs. To make barren their lands, and sickly their people. A force to destroy every square foot on which they have ever walked and to plague their kingdom with bloodshed for millennia." It's a group of horse statues that turn water into oil.
* SaltTheEarth: One of its intended effects is to make land barren.
* WorthlessYellowRocks: One of the older (third century) documents Marshall, Carter and Dark has about it describes the petroleum it produces as useless black pitch.

!![[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2470 SCP-2470]] - The Void Singularity
'''SCP-2470''' is an abstract extradimensional entity that contains the ability to erase whatever it perceives or understands. The Foundation considers it to be the manifestation of a ZK-class reality failure, as it could very well understand the nature of the universe itself.
-----
* ApocalypseHow: Is considered to be the initial manifestation of a universe- or possibly multiverse-ending ZK-class reality failure event due to its ability to erase anything it perceives and understands. If it began to understand entire concepts, or perhaps the whole universe...
* BarrierMaiden: The Foundation believes its mere existence takes up the universe's ZK-class apocalypse 'slot' (ironically also making it an ApocalypseMaiden) and no other events of ZK magnitude can take place concurrently.
* CloneByConversion: [[spoiler:The final collapsible on the page very heavily implies that 2470 is capable of [[OhCrap turning living beings into further instances of itself]] via use of its DreamStealer abilities, leading to victims becoming apathetic and indifferent and eventually taking uncommon curiosity in common objects. Whenever medical staff diagnose this particular affliction, they are put into an artificial coma, pumped full of enough BrainBleach to down an elephant, then killed with neurotoxin and cremated. As if this thing wasn't dangerous enough.]]
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: [[spoiler:WasOnceAMan, as it would turn out, and wound up having a doomsday cult spring up around his transformed state...assuming his mentor wasn't part of this to begin with and they always planned to make their own destroyer god.]]
* DreamStealer: [[spoiler:Again, the final collapsible shows cases of it appearing in recurring dreams had by various personnel that work in the containment area as a pulsating black mass, followed by victims ceasing to have dreams altogether.]]
* EldritchAbomination: An abstract being with a largely unknown and likely incomprehensible appearance that's capable of inflicting CessationOfExistence on -ANYTHING- it perceives and comes to understand. [[spoiler:Even though he used to be human.]]
* EnfantTerrible: It knows little and is constantly learning whenever confronted with anything it doesn't understand, giving the impression that it's a newborn eldritch horror. [[spoiler:This is averted, as it would happen, under WasOnceAMan.]]
* EnlightenedAntagonist: [[spoiler:His enlightenment during his time as a human was incomplete, as he wound up misinterpreting the 'nonexistence' bent of nirvana and began LITERALLY making things cease to exist.]]
* GodOfEvil: Seemingly to the cult thought to have summoned it into this world, though whether it can really be considered a 'god' is debatable and it seems to be ObliviouslyEvil at worst.
* GodzillaThreshold: As the Foundation believes its presence is capable of [[BarrierMaiden 'disabling']] other ZK-class scenarios, it is hesitant to use a form of the "Weißschatten's paradox" designed to be able to bypass its memetic defenses and neutralize it unless it becomes too difficult to contain, as this thing could easily go from Keter to Apollyon with the slightest mistake in containment.
* LogicBomb: A "Weißschatten's paradox", prepared by the Foundation as a means of either killing the object by making it erase itself through a memetic agent, or by destroying its ability to perceive. It seems to have a LogicBomb resistance, however, but the paradox is enough to keep it occupied and prevent it from destroying its containment area.
* OmnicidalManiac: [[spoiler:Came damn close to turning into one while he was human; the Foundation is, unknowingly, attempting to avert this from happening.]]
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:WasOnceAMan who nearly erased himself from existence, becoming a far more monstrous EldritchAbomination void in reality after 'death'.]]
* PersonOfMassDestruction: [[spoiler:Even did it to himself but it didn't stick completely.]]
* PowerOfTheVoid: It's title is the Void Singularity, is described as an 'unfillable unbeing' at one point and anything it perceives is erased from existence.
* UnrealisticBlackHole: Somewhat averted, as the Foundation had initially believed it to be something like a miniature black hole but disproved this, though it does act in ways like an informational and existential black hole.
* WasOnceAMan: [[spoiler:[[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/thunder-perfect-mind The tale Perfect Mind]] shows the SCP was once a human with latent RealtyWarper abilities who was deluded into a [[EnlightenedAntagonist 'corrupted']] version of Buddhist nirvana through his mentor trying to shortcut him through, unwittingly activating his reality-bending abilities and damn near stepping into OmnicidalManiac territory before he went and turned his abilities on himself. He survives as a disembodied consciousness manifested through a pure void in the world.]]

'''SCP-2484''' is a substance that resembles mayonnaise. The substance actually happens to be the eggs of an extraterrestrial species. When the eggs are ingested by a vertebrate, they hatch into worm-like creatures that will eat each other until only one remains.
-----
* BodyHorror: If an amount of SCP-2484 exceeding 235 grams is removed from its container, it will attempt to enter the body of the nearest vertebrate animal, by force if necessary. If any vertebrate animal eats enough SCP-2484, the eggs in SCP-2484 will hatch and grow into worms that consume the victim's body.
* FaceFullOfAlienWingWong: The eggs of an unknown alien species are in a substance resembling mayonnaise. If a vertebrate animal eats enough of it the eggs will hatch inside the victim's body and grow to up to 12 centimeters long. They will then try to eat each other until only one is left.

When it attacks someone, a random SCP that the target previously worked with will disappear.
-----
* HiddenHarasser: SCP-2490's true form is made up of jointed segments with an oblong head. It can generates a field that disguises it as a normal human being. It appears in its real form only to its intended target. It appears near its target repeatedly over a period of weeks and eventually kills it.
