In the case of 1250-2, visual discrepancies will manifest in place of aural, as video samples produce no audio when reviewed. No pattern has been detected to the fluctuations in its "schedule" relative to any sort of calendar. The force 1251 exerts on its surroundings is inversely proportional to the size of the intersection. Large roundabouts and junctions are generally safe to approach, and its anomalous effects would not be readily apparent to traffic. Mini-roundabouts and traditional crossroads have it displaying far greater destructive potential. Ground-penetrating radar has located a metal cage consistent with a 16th century gibbet in the center of 1251, an unknown object it holds or possibly the cage itself appearing to be the source of the phenomenon. Attempts to excavate affected areas while 1251 is in a low-activity state to retrieve this object have been unsuccessful, as removal of large amounts of material from 1251's current site has been observed to dramatically increase the pseudo-gravitational force exerted by the anomaly.

This material will maintain structural integrity only while part of 1252, rapidly separating into non-anomalous wing scales if removed. This eye is not believed to be capable of sight and does not blink. Although capable of regeneration, 1252 does not seem to be able to fully recover any missing skin or other bodily tissues. While 1254 appear to be standard books on the outside, closer examination reveals the interiors of each book had been cored out to construct several miniature civilizations. The inhabitants, known as '''SCP-1254-1''', are miniature humanoids nearly identical to normal humans in every respect, except for an average height of approximately 5mm. Archeological analysis of 1254 samples suggests that 1254-1 possessed either the ability or technology to convert paper into any conceivable material, including organic foodstuffs, concrete, steel, carbon fiber, trace amounts of uranium, and several unidentified materials. The number of distinct civilizations within 1254 corresponds to the number of different genre sections the bookstore contained. The knowledge base each 1254-1 civilization possessed also corresponded to the types of books they inhabited, and each civilization was aware of and interacted with each other. 99% of the books were unfortunately destroyed or irreparably damaged due to a fire that took place before it was discovered. Forensic analysis, trace radiation readings, and the remains of various types of weaponry suggest the fire was started as the result of a miniature thermonuclear war between one or more of the civilizations, which proceeded to wipe out the near-entirety of the 1254-1 population. A routine survey, however, detected a small number of surviving instances, dressed in full nuclear gear and apparently scavenging for supplies before hiding.

These grapes are genetically similar to Red Globes, often reddish-pink in color and containing microscopic seeds. Consumption of the grapes will cause the subject, referred to as '''SCP-1255-1''', to experience a series of physical and mental changes. MRI scans of 1255-1 instances have discovered that the seeds within 1255 will become attached to the outer tissue of the stomach wall upon consumption. The seeds will emit an unknown acidic substance that breaks down stomach fibers to allow the seed to exit the stomach and enter the bloodstream. 1255 possesses a gene that allows it to trick white blood cells into allowing its seeds to travel through the bloodstream as a non-foreign object. The seeds will travel through the veins of 1255-1 until they reach the brain, wherein they will sprout. This process alters the memories and behavior of the host in order to aid in the spread and survival of 1255. Over a period of time ranging between one week to one month, 1255-1 will feel a compulsion to seek out the nearest light source available. Once contact with light is made, 1255-1's veins will grow out of the skin and around the subject in the form of thick, waxy vines. 1255-1 will no longer require energy from food and rather gain energy from photosynthesis. The subject’s fingernails will mutate into a thin wood and begin growing at 100-1000 times the rate of normal human fingernails, ultimately reaching a basket-shape. Once the vines produce at least 1 kilogram of grapes, 1255-1 will regain consciousness and begin compulsively harvesting them, using their fingernails to contain them. After every fruit has been harvested, the vines surrounding 1255-1 will retract back into the body and the fingernails will return to normal shape. 1255-1 will then attempt to convince any nearby subjects to consume the grapes, occasionally leaving a basket of them should there be no subjects around. When there are no remaining instances of 1255 left to distribute, 1255-1 will re-enter the growth cycle. Upon expiration, 1255-1 will decompose at 10 times the rate of a normal human cadaver, leaving vines in the remains.

The cover page claims the pamphlet was authored by Dillaine Iurtey and Ryan Hughes, and published by Redrose Publishing Sydney in 1997. Neither author nor Redrose Publishing Sydney itself have has no record of 1256's creation. The contents of the pamphlet appear to be intended as informative, though much of it is nonsensical. Individual pages of 1256 do not retain any anomalous properties, and 1256 may be excerpted without effect. It is only when 1256 is read completely that its anomalous effects will manifest, an exposed subject being designated '''SCP-1256-1'''. Affected subjects will perceive all species of bee, as well as similar species such as wasps, as sapient, and will attempt to manually care for the insects to the exclusion of all other activities. This action is detrimental to both 1256-1 and the insects, as attempts by 1256-1 to collect food, repair the hive, and assist in the queens’ reproductive cycle typically result in hostility from the insects and the deaths of multiple individual members of the colony.

Analysis of these images, however, indicates that the photographed text consists entirely of a random arrangement of letters incomprehensible as a legible document. When directly viewed by a human being, the text is described by the reader as being legible in a language which they are familiar with. The text described varies considerably between individuals. In all documented cases, the text presents itself as a prophecy regarding the imminent extinction of mankind occurring on a specific date within three to six months when the scroll is being read, in addition to a number of omens and precursors which will lead up to said event. The nature of the prophesied event varies from reader to reader, and appears to relate directly to the reader's personal beliefs and knowledge of the world. Despite infected subjects’ beliefs, none of the events prophesied in the text of 1259 have occurred. After reading 1259, the reader will express a belief that the text is correct and that the prophesied apocalypse will occur on the date referred to in the text. This belief is initially expressed as a mild concern, but grows increasingly severe as the date approaches, with the reader identifying world events or events in their personal life as "signs" that the prophecy is occurring as predicted. Within 7-12 days of the date referenced in the text, the affected individual will come to believe that he or she is a "chosen one" who is personally responsible for preventing the event from occurring, and will attempt to engage in extreme measures to prevent the event. Approximately 78% of affected individuals have died prior to the date referenced in the text of 1259, either due to suicide or as the result of being killed in the process of attempting to prevent the event from occurring. Individuals who survive past the scheduled date have frequently reported symptoms of extreme depression, feelings of meaninglessness and futility, and suicidal thoughts.

Despite the ship’s age, it appears to be in perfect sailing condition. Aboard the ship are the skeletal remains of the ship’s original crew, in addition to a total of 64 other individuals, lying fully intact upon the ship’s gun decks or within its hold. Twenty minutes following any boarding of 1260, a large bank of fog will begin to gather around the ship with a radius of 1km. This fog fully encloses the ship an additional 15 minutes later, at which point all electronic devices aboard issuing a transmission will cease to function. The fog will dissipate ten minutes after the ship is fully enveloped, at which point the subjects will have vanished along with anything aboard the ship at the time of encasement. 1260 will reappear in a random site in the next major ocean 2 to 12 weeks later, moving from east to west as it circles the globe. All human life aboard the ship at the time of its disappearance will be among the skeletal remains. Exploration attempts have shown that messages have been carved into a large percentage of the ship’s interior surface area.

Descriptions of the birds’ behavior are uniformly consistent, indicating that they understand and react to human speech, demonstrate affectionate gestures towards their corresponding subject, and behave in a manner similar to trained service animals. Though all instances of 1261-1 are visible to all individuals infected with 1261, the creatures rarely interact with one another or with other carriers. 1261-1 are also described as maintaining consistent age and health throughout their subjects’ infection.

Its surface area is composed of a dense covering of thin roots, which can spread outwards by growth and movement at a rate of 0.22 meters per second, and can reach up to a kilometer in length in order to seek water and mineral nourishment from the surrounding environment, or from other living organisms. 1262 has a rapid regenerative ability which makes it difficult to eradicate, as well as an innate resistance to most types of radiation, extreme temperatures, and extreme pressures. There is currently no known method to fully exterminate 1262. If left unchecked, it will grow to form complex structures supported by hardened cellulose fiber and lignin wax plating formed in hexagonal patterns. These structures also include defensive/offensive biological mechanisms that range anywhere from pneumatically discharged calcium carbonate flechettes, to hallucinogenic fume releasing pods. Inside these structures, 1262 is able to produce many independently functioning organic systems for capturing and converting the ambient environment on an enormous scale.

Tests have shown near constant brain activity in 1263-A, which constantly emit rapid, distressed, largely unintelligible vocalizations. When at least 5 instances of 1263-A spawned from the same member of 1263 are brought into a 1.4-meter proximity near each other, the vocalizations will begin to synchronize, and will eventually become fully coherent.

'''SCP-1264''' is an amalgamation of sunken ships and various pieces of oceanic debris that have been adhered together by organic secretions. The main body of 1264 is made of five WWII-era warships that were used as targets as part of the atomic bomb tests performed at Bikini Atoll in 1946. The centerpiece of 1264 is an aircraft carrier with several large jib cranes attached to its deck. The other ships are fastened to the sides of the centerpiece by hardened secretions. Flotsam and jetsam have been attached to fill in empty spaces between the ships, roughly making up 12% of 1264’s total mass. The amalgamation is armed with various pieces of artillery, torpedoes, AA guns, and depth charges. In spite of this, only several pieces of artillery have ever been seen in use, which indicates that either the remaining are non-operational, or there are insufficient resources to operate them. 1264 spends most of its time underwater as a submersible, but is capable of speeds up to 31 knots above water. 1264 is maintained by '''SCP-1264-A''', headless humanoid entities closely related to sea cucumbers wearing US Navy standard rubber diving suits and equipped with a Mark V diving helmet and weighted boots. 1264-A are also connected by a flexible arterial cord roughly 90 meters long that is connected to 1264's interior. 1264-A display a deep understanding of 1264's mechanical and electrical systems, habitually performing repairs and maintenance with what is available within their designated areas. 1264-A are characteristically slow, obstinate, and exhibit no independent intelligence. They also secrete a strong adhesive through their gloves that act as a water-proof sealant, binder, filler, and cement in order to maintain the structural integrity and buoyancy of 1264. 1264-A is commanded by a single entity designated '''SCP-1264-1''', whose only physical evidence for existence are the arterial cords that connect 1264-A to the ship's interior, which are lined with strands of neural tissue that do not originate from 1264-A. This indicates that 1264-A is directly connected to a separate biological entity, or 1264-1 is actually the collective consciousness of 1264-A. 1264-1 has proven on numerous occasions to be a hostile and skillful tactician of naval warfare, engaging civilian and military ships and sinking them without mercy. After the destruction of a vessel, 1264-A will throw fishing nets atop survivors, which are then attached to the hull of the sinking vessel so that it will drag down the net and its contents.

These creatures, collectively designated '''SCP-1265-A''', spontaneously appear in groups of five once every 30 days, and are incapable of leaving 1265 as they dematerialize upon crossing the border, reappearing sedated in an area within three kilometers of the border. 1265-A are also not chosen based on one particular period of the Mesozoic, but the Cretaceous and Jurassic are the most well-represented, with a sparse population of Triassic-era creatures. All 1265-A instances, even carnivores, show no aggression or fear towards humans unless provoked. '''SCP-1265-α''', also living in 1265, is a species of dinosaur that have not yet been discovered in the fossil record. Comapred to 1265-A, these dinosaurs are known for being unusually aggressive, and will often charge at or attempt to attack researchers and other animals within 1265 indiscriminately.

'''SCP-1266''' is an engraved, metallic ovoid object approximately 12m in length and 7m in width, located at a former paleontology dig site in China. Attempts to date the artifact have met with limited success, as all attempts to sample its surface material have failed so far. Through dating the surrounding strata and analysis of its primary effect, it is suggested that 1266 is at least 252 million years old, placing its presence on Earth to prior to the Permian-Triassic extinction event. Shortly after being unearthed, 1266 activated and levitated into the air, orienting itself vertically, where it has remained ever since. 1266 has completely resisted any attempts to move it, while it continuously processes the surrounding air, altering its chemical and organic balance to what is believed to be Earth norm near the end of the Permian era. The object also produces and releases seeds for many extinct terrestrial plants, as well as live specimens of terrestrial vertebrates and invertebrates, commonly seen during the Permian era. It is unknown whether 1266 is somehow fabricating these specimens from stored genetic data, or releasing them from some form of stasis. To this day, 1266's containment site has stabilized into a self-contained, self-sustaining ecosystem, populated with Permian wildlife.

During metamorphosis, 1267 displays behavior consistent with a gravid female of its template species. However, ultrasound reveals that up to 90% of the tissue in its thoracic and abdominal cavities undergoes a radical alteration into what is effectively a second, fetal organism, resembling a different template mammalian species, designated '''SCP-1267-1'''. The form taken by 1267-1 thus far appears to be constrained to template species whose size at birth is no greater than the dimensions of 1267 itself. 1267 enters the final phase of metamorphosis when 1267-1 either reaches full adult growth, or completely fills the thoracic and abdominal cavities of its host. At this point, 1267 will become visibly distressed and show signs of disorientation. Within three hours of onset, 1267-1 will violently emerge from the previous organism's body before consuming it, regardless of template species’ normal dietary habits.

While he is capable of basic motor functions and self-maintenance, 1268 does not appear to be capable of communication, nor does he show signs of higher intelligence, appearing to be nonsapient. When left to its own devices, 1268 will wander aimlessly until he is in proximity to a large group of people. In these situations, 1268 will go into the crowd and slowly move through it. Throughout a process lasting 14-15 minutes, the crowd will become visibly nervous, experience disorientation and confusion, and ultimately succumb to hysteria while attempting to leave the area by any means necessary. The danger of 1268’s anomalous property varies with group size, group density, accessibility of exits, and size of exits. Affected subjects show a distinct lack of concern for the safety of themselves and all others in the crowd. On average, 30% of all people in a group that has been affected by 1268 will be killed from trampling or interpersonal violence, while 1268 will remain unharmed.

'''SCP-1269''' is a black, aluminum curbside mailbox possessing a red flag and a white, plastic post. It lacks any manufacturer's marks, and has minor dents and abrasions, suggesting the object has been present on the same property for some time. Due to the nature of 1269's effect, the object is permanently located in front of a house in Massachusetts. 1269's anomalous properties will manifest only when a single woman 23 years or older resides within the same property as itself. Two weeks after the occupant moves in, the mailbox will start to manifest unaddressed letters every four days. The contents of these letters are romantic in nature, and are targeted towards the occupant of the house. Surveillance has shown that the letters manifest approximately three seconds after the occupant's mail has been delivered. Exactly three weeks after the appearance of the first letter, 1269's secondary anomalous properties will manifest. Letters will begin appearing daily, with their contents becoming increasingly obsessive and erratic, until the point that letters regress into single sentences. Additionally, when not under direct supervision of the occupant, 1269 will teleport to a location near the occupant and face them. This location will usually be partially obstructed, such as behind windows, cracked doors, and shower curtains. Whether or not the occupant relocates the mailbox, it will continue to teleport between a range of one to five times every twelve hours. 1269 will not follow the occupant off the property, and all anomalous properties will cease manifesting after the occupant has either moved out or died. Attempts to remove 1269 from its location have so far been unsuccessful, as it will teleport to its original curbside location after one hour of relocation. If attempts are made to replace 1269 with a new mailbox, it will be teleported away with 1269 appearing in its place.

Any intrusion onto the top floor triggers the manifestation of an entity resembling a man armed with a shotgun, henceforth '''SCP-1270-1''', from somewhere on said floor. Upon manifesting, 1270-1 will attack intruders, firing at them, and pursuing them through the rooms and corridors of the top floor until all intruders have either been killed, fatally injured, or driven out of 1270-1's "territory". If 1270-1 is killed, its cadaver instantly vanishes, and another instance manifests elsewhere on the top floor. 1270-1 never leaves the boundaries of the building’s top floor. If 1270-1 is carried across the threshold between the main hallway and the stairwell after being captured and disarmed, it instantly vanishes and is replaced with another instance. Demanifestation of 1270-1 as a whole also results when tissue or fabric samples from it are taken across the threshold into the stairwell, or passed out of an open window. 1270-1's ammunition also vanishes upon exiting the borders of 1270, but this does not trigger the demanifestation of 1270-1 as a whole. Analysis of 1270-1's identifying characteristics has been inconclusive, as its facial features, fingerprints, teeth, and DNA each match to a host of differing male criminals. 1270-1 also communicates in a large stream of expletives in various differing languages, as seen when it was interviewed post-capture.

'''SCP-1271''' is a square tract of land approximately 20m on each side, roughly landscaped into a functional kickball field. The field comprised a portion of the grounds of Sheckler Elementary School in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, which closed in 1967 and has been abandoned ever since. Approximately once per year, typically within two weeks of the summer solstice, 1271 will become occupied by 16 children ranging from five to eleven years of age. The means by which these children travel to 1271 is unknown, as they have been noted to originate from every continent and 124 countries. All affected children demonstrate symptoms of a trance and are unwilling or unable to communicate with or acknowledge Foundation researchers in any way. Most children who are located, identified, and interviewed later claim to have no memory of their activities involving 1271. Upon arriving at the field, children will begin carrying out a game of kickball according to conventional rules. Throughout the game, they will display body language indicating pleasure and enjoyment, as well as excited speech. The speech itself typically involves a syntax and vocabulary closely resembling the Unami language of the indigenous Native American population of the region. At the conclusion of the game, the players will bow in the direction of the pitcher's mound and conduct a brief chant in the Unami language before dispersing. As the affected children reach the perimeter of 1271, they disappear from the area via an unknown form of teleportation.

It is affected by gravity and cannot pass through solid materials, yet registers no weight regardless of its current size. Parts separated from the main body appear to flow back to it through extradimensional means, making sample collection impossible. It is not chemically reactive, shows no changes with variations in temperature, is not electrically conductive, and returns no tactile sensation. 1275 is capable of forming itself into any shape, usually taking on the shape, color, and opacity of objects around it. If free, it attempts to envelop classified documents, SCP artifacts, or Foundation personnel. Upon enveloping an object, it will turn opaque and rapidly decrease in size, while the object will disappear from the inside. On occasion it will attempt to disgorge explosives, weaponry, anomalous objects, and hostile agents in order to breach its containment. Observed behavior patterns indicate 1275 is either sapient or controlled by an outside intelligence. It has proven capable of breaching nearly all security measures, pressing its way through minor flaws in seals thought to be air and/or water tight, moving through air ducts and electrical systems, under carpet or tile, or flowing slowly through loose material such as dirt or sand. It attempts to avoid observation by blending in with its surroundings and remaining motionless, though it will move quickly and attempt to envelop personnel that spot it before they can sound alarms. '''SCP-1276''' is a 2700-year-old step pyramid of presumed Mayan construction. The structure is heavily engraved and believed to have been dedicated to astronomy and astrology. The anomalous property of 1276 is centered at a platform at the top of the structure, on which lies a 3.1m square metallic plate of unknown composition. Unlike the rest of the structure, this platform shows no sign of aging and is heavily engraved with Ancient Mayan hieroglyphs, as well as what is believed to be mythological figures along the outside perimeter, human figures prostrated before them. Whenever the heliacal rising of Venus occurs, the platform atop 1276 is momentarily suffused with a blue glow, after which all living human subjects standing on the platform are instantly accelerated into the atmosphere through unknown means at the exact moment that Venus appears above the horizon. Ground- and satellite-based observatories have tracked and confirmed that all such subjects are launched in the direction of Venus and, barring outside intervention, will enter its atmosphere within a period of three to twenty-four hours after launch, depending on the relative distance between Earth and Venus. It is not known at this time how subjects appear to not be affected by atmospheric heating when leaving the atmosphere. Even so, it is presumed that all unprotected test subjects have expired due to either sudden acceleration or asphyxiation.

'''SCP-1277''' is an adult Saguaro cactus with a height of 3.7 meters and a weight of 37 kilograms. Located approximately 15 meters away from the cactus is '''SCP-1277-1''', a male human skeleton that does not appear to suffer from degradation from time or exposure. Attempts to remove the skeleton from its spot have met with failure, due to 1277-1 materializing itself next to 1277 if it is more than 15 meters away from the cactus. 1277's anomalous effect will manifest itself anytime a being capable of communicating in English moves to a point within 15 meters of 1277-1. The cactus will begin to emit vocalizations to subjects approaching the skeleton through unknown methods. Vocalizations from the cactus consist of pleas to be given water, and asking for shelter from the desert, and they will occur whether or not 1277 is in the presence of a desert or water. 1277 will communicate with any person who speaks to it, but will only respond with inquiries about water and shelter, not responding to inquiries about its origin or 1277-1.

'''SCP-1278''' is a photo frame composed of a pinewood frame, painted gold, with a glass cover and a cardboard backing. A stainless steel latch is present on all four edges of the backing, opening the latches allowing access to the interior of 1278. Also present on the back is a cardboard "leg" attached to a stainless steel hinge to allow the frame to rest upright on a flat surface and a hook on the top and left side of the object, allowing it to be hung on a wall in both portrait and landscape orientation. 1278's unusual properties manifest when a photograph or similar piece of 2-dimensional art of no larger than 25 x 20cm is inserted into the object. The image will briefly "shimmer" and waves will be seen radiating from its center, visually similar to ripples on the surface of a pond. After a period of between 1-3 minutes, the frame will function as a 2-way portal between the 2 locations. Removing the rear of 1278 allows the image to be removed, at which point the portal closes. The other end of the "window" appears as a 36x30cm rectangle, apparently 2-dimensional, with one side acting as a portal to the location of the object and the other being jet-black, absorbing all frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. Any object small enough to fit through 1278 may be passed through from either side.

No anomalous physical properties are present in the collars, and their anomalous properties do not become apparent until one of them is instance is worn by a canine of any form. They will still be aware that it is a canine, but they will internally anthropomorphize 1279-1, believing that it is capable of speech and reasoning. Individuals will not consider encountering what they believe is a sapient canine to be abnormal, behaving as if it were a common occurrence. Removal of 1279 from 1279-1 results in affected individuals once again perceiving them as a normal canine.

'''SCP-1280''' is a parasitic nematode superficially identical to the New World Hookworm. Infestations in humans can cause all of the typical symptoms of hookworm infection, including weight loss, lassitude, and anemia. 1280 differs from hookworms in several respects, such as a number of novel sequences appear in the place of redundant genes in the latter. These enzymes and hormones do not appear in no other genome in any living thing, and it is believed that they are responsible for the worms’ anomalous effects. Adult worms periodically release a complex mixture of hormone analogues and modified neurotransmitters into the host's bloodstream. Some of these molecules are capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier and cause subtle changes in the hippocampus and other regions of the brain via an unknown mechanism. Hosts experience significant improvements to their spatial and visual memory, increasing to the point where photographic recall is achieved. Memories formed prior to infestation are not subject to recall. Additionally, host brains begin to excrete chemical messengers back into the bloodstream, which the worms filter from the blood and store in a diverticulum off of their gut. Through a poorly-understood mechanism, some of these molecules are passed along to offspring. Periodically, adult worms regurgitate tiny amounts back into the host bloodstream, causing unbidden recall of seemingly random visual memories upon reaching the brain. It appears that each "packet" of these compounds corresponds to a single visual memory. Because worms "inherit" some of these packets from their progenitors, adult worms hold a mixture of encoded memories from every host in their lineage. Hosts respond to foreign messages in the same way as endogenous ones, with a sudden vivid recollection of events which they may not have experienced first-hand.

'''SCP-1281''' is a roughly teardrop-shaped, biomechanical entity originally found within the Kuiper belt, dated to suggest that it is at least 1.3 billion years old. It measures 12 meters from end to end, and is 11 meters in circumference at its widest point. There is a significant bulge present, which is believed to store the majority of 1281's analysis equipment. There are several dish-shaped structures on 1281's surface that are presumed to be receivers for various forms of electromagnetic radiation, as well as lozenge-shaped capsules of unknown purpose. Several areas on its surface are broken, suggesting additional appendages were once present. Biological components appear to have grown over a mechanical frame, evidently designed to live in deep space. When observed, it seemed to have difficulty coping with temperatures much warmer than the Kuiper belt. It was also apparently capable of interstellar travel, but most of its systems were damaged by an unknown event that left it stranded and almost entirely dormant when it was found. The only signs that it was active were faint lights running along its surface. It had apparently been collecting radio signals for some time, but no sign of other functions could be detected until Foundation staff approached, at which point it began broadcasting binary signals in an attempt to communicate, starting with extremely simple mathematical concepts. However, after a report was transmitted back to Earth, it stopped broadcasting for several days. It was eventually deciphered that 1281 was sent by a long-extinct race of aliens, and its message is one of inspiration in the hopes of intergalactic peace. Once the message was delivered, 1281 shut down completely as its tissues began to decay, but not before expressing pleasure and relief in having completed its duty.

If these rabbits are outdoors when the moon is full, their physique will undergo an anomalous transformation. The muscular tissue will gain mass and additional skeletal structure will form, drawing mass from an outside source. Internal structures will comprise nonfunctional components identical to those found in a human body. Epidermal tissue will expand to accommodate this new mass. Fur and claws will be changed into hunting garb and gunpowder weapons. After undergoing this transformation process, 1282 will display sentience, near-human intelligence, and a personality unique to specific individuals. They are able to speak in American English, control their bodies, and exhibit self-awareness. If spoken to, they will identify themselves as hunters, and express interest in being allowed to hunt animals, focusing primarily on other rabbits. The transformed rabbits will communicate with one another about methodology and techniques of hunting. When allowed to hunt, instances of 1282 will attempt to hunt and consume any rabbit they previously lived with, focusing largely on their mates and children, with social associates also being targeted. This continues until all organisms are terminated or the full moon ends, whereupon the rabbits return to normal. 1282 will exhibit depressed behavior upon reversion, refusing to move or consume food.

'''SCP-1283''' is a 1930's home radio which shows very little damage and wear despite its age. Despite the object's obsolete parts, it has shown to be capable of receiving signals and playing consistently high quality sound, with very little noise or interference. 1283 is even capable of functioning when switched off, without any apparent source of power. 1283's anomalous effects become apparent when a subject listens to it for more than 15 minutes, regardless of what frequency the radio is tuned to. When this amount of time has passed, anything playing on the radio at that time will become silent, and a voice, hereafter referred to as '''SCP-1283-1''', will address the subject by name. The voice utilized by 1283-1 will always belongs to someone well known to the subject, such as close friends, parents, spouses, authority figures, and on one occasion, a news anchor. After 1283-1 has gained the subject's attention, it instructs them to listen carefully, whereupon the subject will begin to focus exclusively on 1283, resisting all attempts to distract them from it. 1283-1 will then provide the subject with information regarding an upcoming event, referred to as '''SCP-1283-2'''. The first phase of this information involves the question "Do you remember?", prompting the subject to remember a specific person, object or event. Secondly, the phrase "Something bad is going to happen.", is used by 1283-1 giving a warning to the subject. To outside listeners, warnings are cryptic, meaningless, and appears to bear no relation to the first question. No test subject has expressed confusion in regards to the warning, instead reacting with shock and surprise, followed by increasing levels of anxiety. The final phase of 1283-2 is prefaced with the statement "You can stop it." At this point, 1283-1 delivers a set of instructions to the subject, with an assurance that following them will stop the event. The instructions vary from simplistic and easily performed to complex and dangerous, and no discernible pattern has been observed. At this point, the subject's anxiety will have grown into severe panic, and they will indicate an intense desire to perform the instructions presented to them and avert the threatened event. Attempts to stop the subject from doing so have resulted in pleading, threats, and in some cases, violent resistance, followed by the subject being rendered inconsolable. Those who manage to complete the instructions feel intense relief at their apparent victory.

Only one living instance of 1284 has ever been located at one time, but the global nature of the anomaly makes definite confirmation impractical. All instances of 1284 can be considered to suffer from a unique psychosis, and do not respond to either their designation or birth name, but will answer to any fair approximation of "Moon's Bride" in apparently any language. At sundown during a full moon, when 1284 is under high stress or exposed to direct moonlight, one or more of their limbs will dislocate out of its ball joints, and sphincters in the surrounding blood vessels will close. This provokes the onset of apoptosis of tissues distal to the closed sphincters, followed by immediate detachment of the afflicted limb. Over the course of five seconds, each shed limb will assemble into '''SCP-1284-2''', carnivorous, quadrupedal masses of flesh with rudimentary mouths and teeth. When viewed directly, instances of 1284-2 give the visual illusion of being domesticated rabbits, but indirect viewing or tactile examination reveals that they are in fact hairless and mostly skinless, as well as lacking a distinct head, tail, or discernible sensory organs. 1284-2 instances will invariably attack and attempt to consume any living being they have an unobstructed path to, other than 1284 or other 1284-2 instances As it consumes tissue, 1284-2 incorporates it into its own mass, increasing in size until it reaches a total weight of 6.2 kilograms. At that point, it will begin to rapidly reorganize its constituent tissue, and over a period of 7 seconds, split into two 3.1-kilogram instances of 1284-2. One out of every 8 instances of 1284-2 formed in this way will attempt to path its way back to 1284 and feed itself piecemeal to them. Even when instructed to the contrary, 1284 will invariably cooperate to the best of its ability with 1284-2's attempts to feed it. If exposed to sunlight or a similar light source, 1284-2 will spontaneously undergo liquefication, and 1284 will begin to regenerate lost limbs at a rate of 0.2 kilograms an hour if it has consumed enough biomass to do so.

'''SCP-1285''' is a wooden sculpture depicting an armless, headless humanoid with root-like structures protruding from its shoulders, sitting on a concrete pedestal that has "Nature’s Embrace" engraved on its back. The object’s anomalous properties manifest when placed in an indoor environment. The roots of the sculpture will begin to grow at a rate of 1 meter per day when unobstructed. Should the roots reach a surface composed of non-organic material, they will begin production of pigments to match the surface and will attempt to grow through any cracks present. Experimentation shows that 1285’s roots grow towards the nearest room containing an implement used for sleeping. Once inside, the roots will not continue to grow until a human subject falls asleep in said room. At this point, the roots will begin a period of rapid flower growth, followed by an attempt to dislodge one of the subject's eyes, leaving a flower, designated '''SCP-1285-1''', in its place. MRI scans show that 1285-1 connects directly to the subject's brain in a process observed to take between 16 and 32 seconds. 1285-1 will attract nearby insects to "pollinate" 1285 through use of the flower. Sending a letter with a return address to 1240 at 1240-A, with the letter mentioning a specific type of animal, will result in an instance of '''SCP-1240-C''' being delivered 5 to 7 business days later to the return address. 1240-C are animals delivered within a living environment or a means of transport. These animals will never be the same type of animal mentioned in the letter which provoked their delivery, but they always imitate some of the behaviors of the mentioned animal. When the physiology of the animal would prevent the behavior from being imitated, the imitation is achieved through anomalous means. What enables the anomalous behavior is unknown, since all instances have identical DNA, cellular anatomy, and biochemistry as non-anomalous members of the same species. Notable specimens delivered have included a pair of hamsters that swam, breathed water, and ate flesh like piranhas, an anglerfish that ate vegetables and breathed air similar to a guinea pig (with a non-drying coat of saltwater covering it to keep it from drying), and a single ant that was capable of eating dead mice in the manner of a corn snake, stretching and shrinking itself to accommodate a snake’s digestive habits. 1240-C will appear at the front entrance to the return address during daylight hours, at a moment when no one is directly observing the front entrance, though no delivery person or delivery vehicle has ever been observed.

When the hand reaches zero, it stops with a loud click, coinciding precisely with an event of significance to a person within 16 meters. The event will always be normally caused by a fixed amount of time passing, and will be in progress before the button was pushed.

'''SCP-1245''' is a whaling ship, approximately 120 meters in length, missing its nameplates and numbers, which are believed to have been removed prior to acquisition. 1245 appears to be autonomous, as it has been seen pursuing whales and incapacitating them via cannon-mounted harpoons without the presence of crewmembers before dragging them into itself. 1245 has been observed hunting and processing a wide variety of cetaceans, including those not usually hunted by whalers, such as dolphins, orcas, beaked whales, narwhals, and belugas. The majority of 1245's internal structure is taken up by a central "slaughterhouse", where whale carcasses are dissected and have their parts sorted for future use. 1245 uses tissue obtained from these carcasses to maintain its structure and build new additions to its hull. It is estimated that roughly 65% of 1245's current mass is made up of whale meat; including several rooms and decks that appear to be significantly altered from their original specifications. These include automated assembly lines built from ligaments and muscles, an on-board crane composed from vertebrae and ribs, a secondary rudder composed of baleen and bone, and a communications deck with several intact whale brains connected to a central radio. Rotting or decaying parts are replaced with new components as new whales are acquired and processed. Upon observing a photo, the subject will begin to develop symptoms of retrograde amnesia, experiencing difficulty remembering the events pictured in the photo and reacting with confusion if provided evidence of them. Repeated viewing of photographs will result in the subject losing all memory of the person, place, or object that was featured in the photos. The exact number of displayed images required before total loss of memory of the person, place or object varies between subjects.

Li’l Chemist Kits each contain a test tube rack composed of the same alloy as the box, 5 test tubes and an Erlenmeyer flask made of borosilicate glass, a small heating element, a glass stirring rod, a glass and rubber pipette, 50 brown, opaque glass bottles with paper labels, and an instruction booklet. The bottles contain a wide variety chemical compounds, including hydrofluoric acid, sodium hydroxide, colloidal silver, liquid mercury, small granules of uranium yellowcake, and several unknown compounds labeled "Super Reagent!", "Super Catalyst!" and "Super Accelerator!". The instruction booklet is 62 pages long, and consists of 1 to 2-page instructions on how to conduct different experiments or create different substances or products. These products range from vinegar-and-baking soda mixtures to more complex and unusual examples such as pellets capable of producing non-toxic purple smoke, "glow in the dark" paint capable of emitting light at 5000 lux, and "vanishing cream" capable of temporarily redirecting light around subjects it is applied to, rendering them invisible for up to 5 minutes before losing efficacy. All of the more complex products require some combination of the 3 unidentified compounds. Attempts to replicate the experiments without using these compounds result in inert substances. When a subject views the entire painting in person, it causes an immediate mental and physical transformation into what many stereotypical depictions would refer to as a “caveman”. A significant increase in physical size and musculature is accompanied by a pronounced curvature of the spine, forcing a hunched, simian posture. The skull is radically reshaped, the forehead sloping and jaw protruding. This results in a sharp reduction of brain mass and an increase in cranial pressure, with a similar reduction in cerebral volume. These changes occur over the space of about 40 seconds, and are evidently extremely painful. Affected subjects exhibit a massive loss of mental capacity consistent with the reduction of brain mass, communicate only in rudimentary guttural vocalizations and simple gestures, and are concerned only with feeding, copulating, and other basic instinctual behaviors. A subject who touches his body will fall into a coma-like state as whatever part of the body that makes contact becoming fused there. They will then have their body permanently bonded to Yuri when he extrudes his own blood vessels and nerves therein. Lastly, he will take control of one or more of the victim’s vital systems by assimilating that system into his own with his nerves/blood vessels/intestines. Any part of the victim not associated with this system will lose blood flow and eventually drop off, which Yuri will feed into the beginning of his extended digestive tract. It has been revealed that Yuri became the way he is now after a failed Russian social experiment in 1960, where he and these other prisoners were forced into a cave to test group dynamics under great periods of stress. Despite the horrific changes he has undergone, Yuri possesses human intelligence and reasoning. He has successfully learned English to a sufficiently advanced degree, and psychoanalysis shows no signs of cognitive defects, or disorder of thought patterns and processing. He also appears to have a normal level of social functioning, and enjoys hearing stories and news about the outside world when visited by Foundation staff. However, it has become apparent that Yuri also harbors well-developed delusions and denials of his current state of being, often claiming that the bodies he has fused with are his "wife and children", regarding his containment and experimentation as a normal part of family life. All attempts at therapy have resulted in Yuri becoming frustrated, and all attempts to get him to elaborate on just what happened to him and the others prisoners in 1960 are met with him refusing to speak for months on end.

The website contains extensive documentation of the subject’s work. reports of nonexistent events in the subject’s life invariably of a positive nature, unanimously positive discussion of the subject and their work, and a store for the purchase of merchandise pertaining to the subject's work. After viewing 1228, subjects will report feelings of depression, with 30% attempting suicide shortly afterwards.

How these recordings are made after Lana’s death via cranial trauma, as confirmed by exhumation of her remains and DNA analysis of tissue samples, is unknown. The subject material of each video varies, including nature documentaries, sitcoms, game shows, serial dramas, and other programs typically broadcast on television. The dialogue, when present and/or audible, consists of Lana appearing to read from a script or prompt outside the view of the camera, and is almost always inconsistent with the type of show the broadcast appears to be. Due to references to noteworthy, contemporaneous events in recorded dialogue, it is assumed that these videos are being created and distributed by an unknown party.

These dreams have been documented to last anywhere from 45 seconds to 200 years, but the reader will usually never be asleep longer than they would normally. Upon awaking, the reader is able to remember every aspect of their dream in detail. In 1230-induced dreams, the dreamer will be visited by the "'''Book Keeper'''" ('''SCP-1230-1'''), a bearded man in a green cloak who claims to be the personification of 1230 itself. The Book Keeper has been reported to be very amicable and helpful towards dreamers who meet with him, and has stated that he enjoys creating worlds for them to explore, always trying to shape them in such a way that the dreamer garners the most entertainment. He has expressed sorrow when dreams end and asks the dreamer to "please visit again soon". One particular researcher committed suicide when he exited a dream he preferred over his waking life, leaving the Book Keeper suffering from chronic depression to the point where his tears stained 1230’s pages. He was thankfully helped out of his funk with the help of some friendly advice.

Those who make physical contact with the corpse begin hearing a voice that will not cease until they make contact with another human. The exact mechanism that enables the transfer is unknown, as is the manner in which 1202 communicates with the subjects. 1202 will converse with the afflicted subjects, lecturing them about a variety of scientific topics, notably biology and theoretical physics. The psychological effect tends to be detrimental, as the voice rarely ceases to 'talk' for periods any longer than twenty seconds. The voice also identifies itself as a former Foundation researcher, though whether its claims are valid has yet to be verified.

Variances in Miranda’s progeny are represented in the sense that she maintains memory of her previous lifespans. The "rebirth" experience and the recollection of the event have a noticeable and detrimental psychological effect on her. Because of her ability, Miranda has been in containment for approximately 95 years, equivalent to 5 cycles of death and rebirth.

Within twenty-four hours, any portions of wallpaper destroyed will re-appear on the wall, housed in their former location and in identical condition. Fragments removed by cutting or tearing crumble into a fine dust within minutes, reappearing after the same time period. The patch has also been observed to change shape and size at irregular intervals. The changes have never added or subtracted more than six square centimeters from the object's approximate surface area.

Test subjects not capable of mirror recognition will perform territorial threat displays against 1207. Blindfolded subjects report that 1207 feels "smooth and glassy", with "wood around the edges". The second effect will have subjects exposed to 1207 rapidly develop symptoms of body dysmorphic disorder as they examine their "reflections". They will voice a variety of complaints about their physical appearance, always ending with a statement of how they “aren’t cool yet”. As exposure time increases, subjects will begin to modify their appearances in attempts to "correct" themselves, typically by application of cosmetics. Subjects without access to cosmetics will engage in self-mutilation. When shown actual mirrors, they will express satisfaction with their modifications, but will again find fault with their appearance when re-exposed to 1207. The final effect is that subjects exposed to 1207 will gradually develop symptoms of dyslexia, losing their ability to spell or notice spelling errors. The induced cases of dyslexia are temporary, but the factors determining the rate at which individual subjects recover have yet to be determined.

At this point, 1208 may be used to prepare waffles with any standard batter without anomalous effect. The anomalous behavior of 1208 occurs when any solid material other than batter or dough is placed between the active heating plates and the lid is closed. Individuals affected by 1209 (henceforth referred to as '''SCP-1209-1''') appear to be able to see normally through only one pupil, usually the one aligned closest to where the pupil would normally be located. These connections allow 1209-1 to experience visual stimuli only, and appear to only transmit through the left eye of 1209-2. 1209-1 cannot perceive 1209-2’s experiences when they close their eyes, or when their eye is damaged beyond the point at which 1209-2 can see through them. Should 1209-2 die, transmission of images will continue until the internal structure of the eye deteriorates due to decomposition. If 1209-2 is permanently blinded, or if the 1209-1’s additional pupils are significantly damaged, transmission will cease.

'''SCP-1210''' is an uncharted island 31km off the coast of Russia, with an area of 3.4 km square. Its unusual shape suggests that it may have once been larger, but the eastern half of the island was "sheared off" via unknown means, leaving a sharp delineation at which point several buildings, roads, and utility lines have been cut off. '''SCP-1210-2''' is a World War II radar installation located on the main hill of the island, consisting of a large radar array and a control bunker containing its readout equipment. No official documentation of this site exists in any Russian or Soviet-era records. The site is in an advanced state of disrepair consistent with several decades of abandonment, though several rooms are remarkably well-preserved due to having been inside sealed bunkers. Forensic examination of the site indicates that the site’s personnel were forced to abandon the area in haste and head towards the eastern end of the island, where the main power plant and living quarters are presumed to have been located. Despite having been disconnected from an active power source for 50 years, 1210-2 is still active, and periodically generates an anomalous low-powered radar pulse emission that radiates out to a range of approximately 9km. These emissions are irregular, repeating as often as once every six hours, and as rarely as once every seven days. During each emission, localized shifts in the area surrounding 1210-2 occur that coincide with the propagation of the emission. These include changes in the topography of the sea bed and ocean floor, changes in the local flora and fauna, and short-lived changes in the chemistry and organic content of the water surrounding 1210. Prior to current containment procedures, individuals within 1210 during an emission report being able to feel a "ripple" pass through their bodies, resulting in short-term nausea and tingling in the extremities that persist for several days. Subjects have also reported short-term memory loss and fatigue, and two were discovered missing and were unable to be located.

'''SCP-1211''' is the dilapidated ruins of a castle on the outskirts of a city in Ireland. The first floor and basement of the structure are the only areas still in functional condition, the upper floors having eroded and collapsed at indeterminate points in the past. Within minutes of entering 1211, any man at least 35 years old will immediately be convinced that they are the rightful heir to an imagined throne, owner of the castle, and "lord of all lands as far as the eye can see”, refusing to leave the premises even under threat of lethal force. The cause of these delusions is unclear, though the effect appears to be much more pronounced in individuals of Irish descent. Subjects of exclusively Irish lineage may even attempt to subjugate all personnel in their vicinity. If left in the castle ruins for extended periods, affected subjects will begin to increasingly live in a fantasy where they are a king during a time of war, pacing the interior hallways of 1211 and whispering to themselves in the Irish language, even in cases where the subject had no knowledge of Irish beforehand. Translations of this speech have proven it to largely consist of threats of violence against imagined "rival clans", and imagined scenarios of what the subject would do should any man challenge his right to be king. If left on-site for long enough, subjects will begin to age rapidly. After three weeks of exposure, subjects will have visibly aged to 80 years. Physical deterioration is difficult to measure after this point, as it continues to accelerate at a different rate for each subject. After one month, some subjects are observed to experience rotting of the skin, muscle tissue, and deterioration of the skeletal structure. At no time has any subject expressed need of food, water, or sleep during this process, and no subject has ever died of old age while affected by 1211. A subject that has deteriorated to an extent that they can no longer pace the halls of 1211 will invariably make for its basement and collapse there, still alive, at which point the walls will begin to build themselves around the subject. Any murmuring observed after this point will consist only of the Irish word for "happy" repeatedly.

'''SCP-1212''' is a wooden bar stool that normally does not possess any abnormal physical qualities other than a faint odor of alcohol and a lack of maker's marks and identifying features. When any human being older than 15 sits on 1212, two occurrences of abnormal activity can be immediately observed. The stool itself will change shape almost instantaneously, matching iterations with untold numbers of different stools. The occupant then appears to experience a full sensory hallucination, no longer able to sense what is occurring around them in reality while being completely unable to be removed from 1212. The occupant is then heard speaking to someone, but all attempts to record the other half of the conversation have failed. It becomes apparent that the occupant has been invited to participate in a drinking contest, which begins regardless of acceptance or refusal of the invitation. The contestant, willingly or forcibly, will appear to mime taking a container of liquid from a surface in front of them, placing it to their lips, drinking its contents in one smooth motion, and slamming the container back down onto the surface. There is always a period of between 30 and 50 seconds between each sequence, presumably as the contestant waits their "turn". The contestant is capable of speech, but is interrupted by the drinking action. Despite no actual liquid passing between the contestant's lips, they slowly begin to exhibit effects normally associated with intoxication, such as nausea, slurring of speech, drooping of the eyelids and other facial features, bodily swaying, choking, and vomiting, which become more and more severe with more time elapsed. The contest will only end when a period of time no less than one hour passes, or the contestant dies of alcohol poisoning and has their bodily functions shut down. If this should occur, they will fall off the stool, which returns to its regular size and shape.

The manuscript is a version of Peri Logismon, written by Evagrius Ponticus as a treatise on the “Eight Evil Thoughts”, predecessors of the "Seven Deadly Sins". Individuals exposed to the text or illustrations within 1215 have their behavior altered, manifesting the changes when they leave the immediate proximity of the object. Subjects exhibit behavior consistent with one of the eight vices described within the manuscript, including gluttony, lust, avarice, hubris, envy, wrath, vanity, and sloth. The effects of 1215 vary not only based on which vice manifests itself in the behavior of exposed subjects, but also in the severity of the behavior. Infected subjects will gradually have their symptoms manifest in physical harm of both the subjects and onlookers.

Their legs are cylindrical and allow them to move in any direction without turning their bodies. Situated at the ends of the antennae are two solid spheres composed of beryllium bronze. Except for these spheres, 1216 are composed of an anomalous protein dubbed henceforth "''pyramitin''", which seems to be similar in structure to chitin, save for a bulk modulus and density comparable to cobalt. This protein partially blocks EM radiation and does not chemically break down. From macroscopic observation, it is dark gray, non-reflective, non-porous, and always cool to the touch. On the underside of the body is a conical mouth containing a protein-based turbine, which they spin to generate suction. While they primarily feast on instances of scrap metal, 1216 gain no mass from consumption, as X-ray scans show the metal entering the body and subsequently disappearing. 1216 are able to communicate with one another through flexing their antennae and tapping their bronze spheres together in rhythmic patterns. 1216 do not regard humans as threats and make no attempts to interact with them, even when they are deliberately assaulted. The creatures are native to '''SCP-1216-2''', an extradimensional space adjacent to Lenox, Massachusetts appearing as a flat expanse of subtropical desert. 1216-2 is lit by a small, stationary sun, which heats it to a constant 26° C. Each creature has four wounds on its head, holes ringed in torn flesh, that, roughly equivalent in position to a human's eyes, nose, and mouth. Referred to as "the yellow men", the creatures wear moth-eaten suits identified as those in style during the 20th century. They also appear aware of viewers in front of 1218, and have been seen to not only follow the movements of test subjects, but to actively take notes in what seems to be a notebook.

Once triggered, the song lasts for an apparently unlimited duration, generally until exposure to light has occurred. However, the song will cease by its own volition within 10-20 seconds. If a witness attempts to whistle, hum, sing, or otherwise join in the tune, they will be instantaneously will be dismembered and flayed, with marks similar to those inflicted by a bullwhip along the neck, back, and legs, resulting in immediate or delayed death. 1219's whistle itself does not appear to compel this engagement, but the effect occurs rapidly and cannot be prevented by the introduction of light. 1219 has been found capable of instantaneous transfer within a distance of approximately 1km. If exposed to light, it will cease immediately and recur in the nearest suitable dark space inside its transfer range. If no such space is available, 1219 appears to enter a passive state and will not recur unless and until an accessible area meets the criteria for its manifestation.

The only known recording of 1220 is a set of three cassette cases, containing a combined 2 hours and 34 minutes of recording. The recording is of a linguistic survey with an elderly woman who states that she is one of the last native speakers of this language. She begins to tell a story spoken in 1220, then repeats it in English before the tape ends. The story is a variant on the “global flood” story present in many Mediterranean cultures, where a flood that covers the world while one man survives. Finding himself in a barren world, the man scooped up several handfuls of clay and instructed them of their new purpose, whereupon the clay erupted into a handful of wheat, an ox, and another human being. The story seems to prove that the language is capable of altering reality.
