1.) Plot happens. 2.) Too implausible with Fang being a Tyrannosaurus rex and Spear's Super Strength. 3.) Plot happens. 4.) Not surprising.

* SuperStrength: Downplayed. Spear is able to push Fang, a tyrannosaur weighing several tons, onto an improvised sled, and also drag the sled for several days to a safe place, but he visibly struggles with both tasks.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Spear killing the ape-men has left a large number of dead bodies that attract a flock of vultures. Fang isn't dead but the vultures still see her as an easy meal so Spear has to work to keep them off her. Since there was plenty more meat for the vultures they aren't very persistent.
** Fang is a ''Tyrannosaurus rex'' [[CaptainObvious and is very heavy]]. Spear cannot simply carry her out like she's an injured dog, even with his SuperStrength, without doing something to make moving her more efficient and even then he struggles with it.
** Spear dragging the injured Fang attracts more predators hoping to feast on the very large source of meat. Since there isn't anymore meat to divert their attention like the vultures they keep following while waiting for the right opportunity.
** The persistence of the wild dogs nearly overwhelms Spear. He could keep killing them but the sheer numbers of the pack nearly got the better of him before Fang intervened.

* SeldomSeenSpecies: The bugs that attack Spear and Fang during the night appear to be [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euthycarcinoidea euthycarcinoids]], primitive arthropods from the Palaeozoic. The wild dogs resemble borophagines.

* ContinuityNod: As Fang begins to recover, the final day when she's almost completely healed shows that she's still having trouble with her right leg, aka the exact leg that Krog broke during their battle in the last episode.
