** Capper is turned into a kitten after Cosmos defeats the heroes.
** Soon after, the entirety of Canterlot have been transformed into ladybugs by Cosmos.
** During the final battle, she turns Pinkie into a toy pony (complete with the original pony look), Applejack and the [=CMC=] into a carousel, Rainbow Dash and Rarity into fish, Fluttershy into a statue (ironically mirroring how Discord was imprisoned) and Spike into... a dog. The last one ends up backfiring since Cosmos didn't incapacitate him, it allowed Discord to feed him the final gem and depower Cosmos.

** When Cosmos attacks Discord, horrific versions of Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, Nightmare Rarity, Tirek and the Storm King appear.

** During the {{Montage}} of Cosmos terrorizing ponies in #77, she and Discord are shown on a [[Disney/{{Aladdin}} flying carpet]], and she takes on the same terrifying face as Barbara Maitland in ''Film/{{Beetlejuice}}''.

* AchillesHeel: Even after becoming whole, the stars she was sealed inside contain her magic and power. As such, the heroes are able to remove them from her and destroy them, rendering her powerless.

** Cosmos is revealed not to be a Spirt of Chaos like Discord, but Malice, hence her being eviler. But her methods are identical, if more extreme, to Discord's chaos and are only shown to spread fear, not anger or ill-will.

* AdaptationalWimp: Discord is portrayed as having never been all that dangerous of a villain, and spends the entire arc hiding in blind terror of Cosmos, even when she's severely weakened by her imprisonment, despite her directly threatening Fluttershy (something which in canon motivated him to go completely powerless into the Changeling hive).
** [[JustifiedTrope Justified]], since unlike any other villain or predicament that heroes had to face in the show, Cosmos is the only person whom Discord is [[HorrifyingTheHorror truly and utterly terrified of]] ([[EvenEvilHasStandards and]] [[OmnicidalManiac for]] [[AxCrazy good]] [[AbhorrentAdmirer reasons]], too) and he needs some time to conquer his own fear of her.
