The kingdom of Agrabah — [[ArabianNightsDays located somewhere in the medieval Middle-East]] — is facing a political crisis. Princess Jasmine, the only daughter of the Sultan, is refusing to get married to a prince, putting the kingdom’s international relations at risk. As if that wasn’t enough, Jafar — [[GrandVizierJafar the trusted royal vizier]] — has hired street rat Aladdin and his monkey Abu to find him a magical artifact containing an all-poerful genie he plans using to take over Agrabah for himself, but then things take an unexpected turn...

* AdaptationNameChange: Abu gains the power to talk, at which point he corrects Aladdin and Genie that his name is actually "Cecil Bloomenthal". He accepts C.B as a nickname.

** [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] with Rajah, who merely ''thinks'' this has happened to him when he spots Jafar's model city...

* CrosscastRole: Andy Hoover and Joz Vammer play Jasmine and Genie, respectively.

** Rajah the tiger tries to disguise himself as a farm animal by covering himself in hay. Jasmine tells him to just give up, as it's obviously not going to work.

** [[DiscussedTrope Discussed]] in the post-game [[PragmaticVillain where they argue that Jafar was still acting selfishly,]] even if those selfish desires were to the city's benefit, and be actually ended up ''more'' villainous by the end.

* HookerWithAHeartOfGold: Intentionally or [[AccidentalInnuendo not]], the legend of Jezebel implies this quite heavily that the princess herself was one. This goes right over the characters' heads, but the ''players'' get much milage out of it.

* SkewedPriorities: Jafar condiders Jasmine to have these as she seems to care more about his (admittedly impressive) magical security system than the fact that it shows that their city is under attack.

* HookerWithAHeartOfGold: [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar Intentionally]] or [[AccidentalInnuendo not]], the legend of Jezebel implies this quite heavily that the princess herself was one. This goes right over the characters' heads, but the ''players'' get much milage out of it.
