!!Tropes:

* AdaptationalHeroism: Jafar is still a TreacherousAdvisor using the Sultan as a PuppetKing, but here he actually helps saving Aladdin's life, and becomes an outright ReasonableAuthorityFigure when [[HijackedByGanon the city is attacked by an enemy more dangerous and powerful than him]].
** [[DiscussedTrope Discussed]] in the post-game [[PragmaticVillain where they argue that Jafar was still acting selfishly,]] even if those selfish desires were to the city's benefit, and he actually ended up ''more'' villainous by the end.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Abu becomes TheHeavy after being subjected to TheCorruption.
** Abu becomes TheDragon to Jafar when Aladdin disappears to join the reformed Agrabah at the end, taking up Iago's spot on his shoulders.
* AdaptationNameChange: Abu gains the power to talk, at which point he corrects Aladdin and Genie that his name is actually "Cecil Bloomenthal". He accepts C.B as a nickname.
* AmbiguousGenderIdentity: Rajah, mostly because the players keep forgetting what gender the character is supposed to be. Kara, however, decides to take the idea seriously and make this into an actual character arc for the tiger. ([[RealitySubtext In hindsight, she admitted to taking inspiration from her own experiences here.]])
* AndIMustScream:
** The demon that possessed Abu is eventually trapped as a statue, which is itself trapped in the lamp.
** Possibly his {{Mooks}} too, assuming they're still consious after being transformed into trees.
* AnimatedAdaptation: Jafar's seduction of Aladdin [[https://youtu.be/oKccujh0WVU has been turned into an animatic.]]
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever:
** Becoming a demonic avatar of the island kingdom's expansionism also causes Abu to grow into a giant with hands the size of horses.
** [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] with Rajah, who merely ''thinks'' this has happened to them when spotting Jafar's model city...
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Genie says that his magic works like this, with most wishes ending up having unwanted side effects.
* BecomingTheMask: Initially, Jasmine merely ''pretends'' to be a reincarnation of Princess Jezebel to gain followers, but her second wish leads to the two of them actually SharingABody.
* BeneathTheEarth: The ruins of the Autarch's kingdom lay buried deep under the desert, and can only be accessed through the Cave of Wonders.
* BenevolentPrecursors: The Autarch, who once used the lamp to rule the whole world as TheGoodKing, built a technologically advanced society with electricity and working elevators during the ''stone age'', and later sealed the lamp in a cave to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Genie ''knows'' that he's in a role-playing session, and is the only character to interact directly with [[InteractiveNarrator the Dungeon Master.]]
* TheBusCameBack: [[TheDitz Jeff]] returns as a member of the Vizier Council, [[Recap/FilmRerollHalloweenII having been absent from the show for almost one and a half years.]]
** Another Barry (or Bahri) appears, this time as the sergeant in charge of defending the walls.
* CallBack: The players point out that this isn't the first time Joz has played a [[OurGeniesAreDifferent djinn.]] She previously played [[{{Pun}} Jyn]] Erso is [[Recap/FilmRerollRogueOne Rogue One.]]
* CanonForeigner:
** Princess Jezebel, a PosthumousCharacter who was [[HeroWithBadPublicity unfairly exiled,]] becoming a "princess of the desert", known for providing assistance to weary travellers. [[note]] She does however share her name with a [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen far less heroic queen]] from the Literature/BooksOfKings, and -- in an interesting coincidence -- with Aladdin's old flame from Theatre/TwistedTheUntoldStoryOfARoyalVizier. [[/note]] Jasmine tries to use her as an example of how a woman can be a great credit to society without being married.
** Aladdin now shares his garret with a perverted man named... [[MeaningfulName Garrett,]] who is [[WeHardlyKnewYou quickly killed by the royal guards.]]
** We also have Maurice, Jasmine's loyal guard and GayBestFriend whom she plans to marry if she absolutely ''has'' to get married to somebody.
** Then there is Cookie, the palace chef.
* ConvenientReplacementCharacter: Once Abu gets DrunkOnTheDarkSide -- and turns into an enemy NPC -- Kara gets to play Rajah instead.
* CrapsackOnlyByComparison: Aladdin naturally thinks that Agrabah is a breathtaking, glorious city, but the Autarch consider it a mere village compared to his old capital.
* DemonicPossession: Happens to Abu when Malek Malekeith wishes for him to become the avatar of his island.
* DreamSequence: Abu has one where he sees Aladdin's face inside of bananas and is told by the Genie to "reach toward the ''true'' banana.
* ElderlyImmortal: The Autarch, who wished for eternal life but ''didn't'' [[AgeWithoutYouth get eternal youth along with it.]] By the time Aladdin finds him, he's so old and withered that he can barely move on his own, and needs Aladdin's help to carry him around.
* EnlightenmentSuperpowers: Malek receives these along with Genie's gift of knowledge, giving him [[PowerGlows glowing eyes]] and [[PowerFloats the ability to levitate.]]
** EnlightenedAntagonist: Sadly, he turns out to be an evil conqueror, and becomes the new BigBad of the story.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: For Abu, turning evil involves getting a darker, torn-up version oh his west... [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and also losing his fez.]]
* ExactWords:
** Abu wishes to be taken to his riches. He ends up being transported to an almost deserted island filled with gold and bananas.
** Jasmine's wish is so complicated and elaborate that Jon, Tim and Joz spend 20 minutes deciding exactly how to enact it, paying special notice to the term "I wish Agrabah was that". It ends with Genie ''literally'' creating a new city of Agrabah right next to the old one, renaming ''that'' one "Habarga."
* ExcrementStatement: Abu poops on the thief Ferrad's feet when the latter tries to force Aladdin's location out of the former.
* FlowersForAlgernonSyndrome: Genie exorcises the demon possessing Abu by restoring the latter to how he was two days ago, getting rid of his newfound SuperStrength and ability to speak in the process.
* FridgeHorror: Occurs InUniverse when the players propose that the Sultan's senility is a side-effect of Jafar's prolonged MindManipulation.
* FrothyMugsOfWater: [[JustifiedTrope Justified.]] Jasmine, Maurice and Cookie take shots of milk, as they -- [[IronyAsSheIsCast if not the players]] -- abstain from alcohol for religious reasons.
* GoingInCircles: Jeff (and a random soldier) apparently walked round the city wall multiple times, ''because they didn't realise it was circular.''
* HamToHamCombat: The extremely loud MeetCute between Aladdin and Jasmine. The sounds they make are compared to [[Franchise/DragonBall them going Super Saiyan.]]
* TheHighQueen: Jasmime ''wants'' to become this, but she's held back by her IdleRich father and his UsefulNotes/GrandVizierJafar.
* HookerWithAHeartOfGold: [[ParentalBonus Intentionally]] or [[ThatCameOutWrong not]], the legend of Jezebel implies quite heavily that the princess herself was one. This goes right over the characters' heads, but the ''players'' get much milage out of it.
* LastOfHisKind:
** In the Ziggurat on the otherwise deserted island lives High Priest Malek Malekith, seemingly the last remaining citizen of the civilization that built it.
** The Autarch is certainly this for his civilization too, being immortal and all.
* LostInImitation:
** This is, coincidentally or not, one of several adaptations of WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}} where Jafar doesn't bother with his old man disguise and just recruits Aladdin as himself, the others being the official ScreenToStageAdaptation, the not-so-official AffectionateParody Theatre/TwistedTheUntoldStoryOfARoyalVizier, and the live-action movie Film/Aladdin2019.
** Jasmine becoming the new ruler of Agrabah at the end also happened in the latter two and in the (unrelated) InSpiteOfANail AlternateContinuity in Literature/ATwistedTale.
* ManicPixieDreamGirl: Aladdin letting Jafar flirt with him leads to Kara giving the former the title "manic pixie street rat."
* MySkullRunnethOver: Malek suffers a FreakOut after asking Genie what's going on and getting ''millenia'' of knowledge downloaded into his brain. The effect is temporary, however. And he eventually thanks Genie for his gift.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero:
** Abu makes Malek faint of fear when he demonstrates his SuperStrength. (Of course, [[EvilAllAlong given what we learn about Malek later,]] this might be deserved.)
** Having been reunied with the Genie, Aladdin asks him to bring back Apu too, not knowing that he has recently transformed into a giant, violent monkey demon.
* OhCrap: The players have this reaction when they realize that Jafar has the Autarch, who -- while too old and frail to rule the world -- still has the powers he used to take it over in the first place. And this is how the campaign ''ends!''
* PaperThinDisguise:
** Rajah the tiger tries to disguise themself as a farm animal by covering themself in hay. Jasmine tells them to just give up, as it's obviously not going to work.
** Later, Jasmine disguises herself as a regular city woman... while still [[ButHeSoundsHandsome singing songs of how great and beautiful "the Princess" is,]] and giving away her real name and birthday, claiming it's by sheer coincidence that they're identical to those of the princess whose political campaign she's supporting.
* PlayingWithFire: The demon possessing Abu attempts this tactic after his army is defeated.
* SdrawkcabName: Habarga.
* SequelHook: The genie is free and [[SealedEvilInACan the demon is contained,]] but Jafar is now ruler of a city full of hateful citizens [[TheDogBitesBack ready to wage war on Agrabah.]] Not to mention that Malik is still unaccounted for.
* ShoutOut: [[Literature/TheLordOfTheRings "What do my princess eyes see?"]] A scene described by DM Jon Miller where the lamp falls to the ground without bouncing was also intended as a HomageShot to Film/TheLordOfTheRingsTheFellowshipOfTheRing.
* TheSiege: Evil!Abu puts the city of Agrabah under one by [[MookMaker magically creating monkey mooks]] outside of its walls.
* SkewedPriorities: Jafar considers Jasmine to have these as she seems to care more about his (admittedly impressive) magical security system than the fact that it shows that their city is under attack.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Abu's first wish is for Aladdin to be able to understand him. After that point, he's no longer TheUnintelligible, [[SuddenlyVoiced but a fully voiced character,]] at least when shown from his own and Aladdin's perspective.
* SuperStrength: Aladdin and Abu wish for this. Unfortunately, they ''don't'' get the RequiredSecondaryPower of NighInvulnerability, meaning that Abu breaks his hand while trying to smash through a wall.
* TextualCelebrityResemblance:
** The Rerollers decide that Prince Achmed is played by Creator/JohnWaters, and Jon voices him thusly.
** Creator/JohnWaters is also cast as Aladdin's roommate, Garrett, and as a member of the Vizier council.
* TheUntwist: InUniverse. Jon tries to keep the movie they're rerolling a surprise, [[EverybodyKnewAlready but everyone guesses it correctly immediately.]]
* VillainousCrush: Jafar ends up falling in love with Aladdin, despite rolling to resist his charms. [[IHaveYouNowMyPretty This only ends up making their early interaction even creepier.]] (Though it eventually turns into a case of EvenEvilHasLovedOnes.)
* WeNeedADistraction: Aladdin uses one of the street kids as an improvised distraction to frighten Prince Achmed's horse. When Abu then steals the prince's turban, the kid uses ''that'' as a distraction to escape.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The Sultan just disappears halfway through the story, to the confusion of both the players and their characters. They are [[TakeThat perfectly satisfied]] with the explanation that he was thrown in the dungeon.
* WretchedHive: Habarga, the former city of Agrabah [[UrbanSegregation filled with those lacking a sense of civic duty.]]
