* FishOutOfTemporalWater: Everyone brought into the present by the Timephoon suffers from this. Bubba is more adaptable than the others though, being able to handle things from outside his original time period. Most others turn violent and basically start rioting.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Both DomesticatedDinosaurs and AllAnimalsAreDomesticated are averted. Tootsie resists any attempts from the characters in taming her since she is a wild animal from a time before mankind existed.
** Despite his honest apologies, Della grounds Louie and orders him to dismantle Louie Inc. after he almost traps everyone in the past. The moral of this episode? Sometimes apologizing alone isn’t enough to learn from your mistakes.
** Louie's attempt to avoid his punishment by throwing Della's past with the Spear of Selene in her face not only fails to help him but shocks the rest of his family, angers Mrs. Beakley, and further cement Della's choice to punish him, even though she and everyone else (except Beakley) acknowledge that Louie has a point, and Della can't really claim the moral high ground here. Because whether or not he has a point, he's the kid, she's his mother, and she's not going to tolerate backtalk on top of his other actions.
** Huey's findings of caveducks after his experience with Bubba are rejected by the Junior Woodchucks because a caveman who can understand modern language, eats chili cheese dogs, skateboards, plays a keytar, and rides on a dinosaur is naturally ridiculous.

** Louie's attempt to avoid his punishment by throwing Della's past with the Spear of Selene in her face not only fails to help him but shocks the rest of his family, angers Mrs. Beakley, and further cement Della's choice to punish him, even though she and everyone else (except Beakley) acknowledge that Louie has a point, and Della can't really claim the moral high ground here.

* ParentalHypocrisy: PlayedForDrama. Della tells Louie off for stealing a contraption without thinking of the consequences, then Louie points out that she did the exact same thing. Objectively speaking, Louie upsetting the space-time continuum is considerably far worse than anything wrong Della did in her lifetime.

* OneMillionBC: Averted, in contrast with the original series which had dinosaurs and cave-ducks living at the same time. Not only does Bubba only encounter "Tootsie" in modern times via TimeTravel, but the few animals seen in Bubba's time period (implied to be ten thousand years ago, which is at the end of the Upper Paleolithic or Late Stone Age) are all Cenozoic--namely modern-looking birds, which are dinosaurs ironically.

** Since the idea of [[OneMillionBC non-avian dinosaurs and cavepeople living together]] has become a thoroughly DeadHorseTrope, Bubba does not have a pet ''Triceratops'' in this continuity. He instead encounters a ''Triceratops'' in modern times by means of time anomaly, and the dinosaur doesn't act friendly towards him.

** Huey is also correct that non-avian dinosaurs and early humans lived millions of years apart, averting the OneMillionBC trope that was also present in the original show.

** This version of Tootsie is more in line with modern depictions of dinosaurs with their legs erect and tail off the ground, in contrast to the original who was based on old-fashioned "lizard-like" portrayals.

* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: Besides the [=McDuck=] Family and Bubba (who as ducks are Cenozoic Dinosaurs), the young ''Triceratops'' that gets transported to [=McDuck=] Manor in the present is the first living Mesozoic dinosaur seen in the show.

** The cowboy and cowgirl that appear during the Timephoon are dressed like [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory Woody and Jessie]].

* AdultFear: Della and everyone else watch their loved ones blink out of existence due to Louie's dangerous time traveling. This becomes one of the reasons why Della grounds him at the end of the episode.

Heck, he's the founding father of the [=McDuck=] line. Likewise, his use of wheels and clubs, which alludes to the common inaccurate portrayal of early humans, is both lampshaded and a show of his intelligence.
** This version of Tootsie is more in line with modern depictions of dinosaurs with their legs erect and tail off the ground, in contrast to the original who was based off of old-fashioned "lizard-like" portrayals.

* RippleEffectIndicator: When Mrs. Beakley vanishes, Scrooge realizes she's been thrown back in time when she appears in the painting of of the Scrooge, Donald, and Della fighting pirates.

** Della is initially unphased at their new, temporally-displaced visitors, because this is stuff she's dealt with everyday.

* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite disapproving of Della's lax parenting, Beakley gets angry at Louie for his scathing remark that his mother is just as irresponsible as him.

* DiggingYourselfDeeper: When Della chews out Louie for his greedy and reckless use of the Time Tub, remarking how he didn't even think of the consequences to his actions or the people he would hurt with them, Louie backhandedly brings up Della's similar actions to show how they're NotSoDifferent. All this does is shock the rest of the family, who were all willing to [[EasilyForgiven forgive Louie for what he did]], and even angers Mrs. Beakley enough that she begins to speak against Louie herself until Della stops her, and punishes Louie for his actions.
