I don't think this is a trope. There's Wedding Smashers, but that's about fighting.

* InterruptedWedding: In their efforts to do this with Kelly and Henri, Sam and Woody manage to accidentally do it with several other weddings take place at the same time.

"A Fine French Whine" is the 10th episode of the tenth season of ''Series/{{Cheers}}''.

Henri is still hanging around Kelly and annoying the bejesus out of Woody with his constant taunting about how he's going to steal her away. So Woody is pretty happy when Henri receives a letter from Immigration, telling him that his visa has expired and he has to go back to France. However, that seemingly happy news threatens to backfire on Woody, when Henri plants an idea in dimwitted Kelly's head: they can get married so he can stay in the country.

In the B-plot, Frasier has a headache he can't shake, and since conventional cures have failed, Lilith suggests acupuncture.

!!Tropes:

* CitizenshipMarriage: Kelly agrees to one to keep Henri in the country. It turns out to be a ruse.
* EasilyForgiven: So, how does Kelly respond after learning that Henri faked an immigration letter so he could get Kelly to marry him and have sex with him?
-->'''Kelly''': Oh, I can't stay mad at you, you silly!
* HypocriticalHumor: The RunningGag where the barflies grumble about how Henri is a big phony and they can't stand him, only to greet him cheerfully.
* LyingFingerCross: Woody usually CannotTellALie but it seems he can when he crosses his fingers, as he pretends to feel bad about Henri getting deported. Kelly catches him though, saying "Are you making crossies?"
* ThreeTwoOne: Henri plants his "foolish idea" that ''somebody'' could marry him to keep him in America. Kelly leaves. Henri waits by the door to the bar counting "un, deux, trois". On the count of "trois" Kelly comes back in and says that hey, she can marry him.
* WeddingDay: One of many wedding days subverted on ''Cheers'', as Sam and Woody manage to interrupt Kelly's marriage to Henri JustInTime.
* YouJustToldMe: Done by Woody, of all people. He correctly deduces that [[FrenchJerk Henri]] wrote a fake deportation letter to himself in his latest scheme to steal Kelly away. It was just a hunch, but Henri's response confirms it.
--->'''Henri:''' How did you figure that out?\\
'''Woody:''' You mean I'm right? Wow, score one for the Indiana school system!
