* Yoshi is species of bipedal dinosaur that exhibit a surprising amount of sapience and intelligence to the point where they've managed to form a community of their own in two islands, one called Dinosaur Island and another called VideoGame/YoshisIsland. The Yoshi's happen to be a benevolent and hospitable race who live peacefully in their homes, tending to their habitats and looking after one another. They've also displayed courage and heroism at various points, having stopped many enemies from threatening their lands, and as it turns out, the Yoshis have a historical relationship with the Mushroom Kingdom's greatest hero, Mario. It was the Yoshis that found Mario as a baby when he was dropped from the sky while his brother, Luigi was kidnapped by the mage, Kamek, to be delivered by Bowser as a new playmate. The Yoshis decided to take Mario along and go on a long adventure to save his brother and defeat Kamek and Bowser's forces, eventually being successful in getting the brothers reunited with one another. Though this was only the first of their many stories together, as when he came of age, Mario has been a consistent ally with the Yoshis, allying with one another to battle against Bowser and various other villains who threaten the Mushroom World, and their relationship has since been among the strongest any ally could have with one another.
* The Pantheon has strongly recognized the Yoshis ever since Mario ascended himself, shortly followed by Luigi and their friends and allies, the Yoshis included. The race as a whole is represented by one member, who is green, their most common and well-known colour shade, and who has been the most frequent in travelling along in Mario's adventures. This particular Yoshi has showcased his heroism several times, being more than willing to defend Yoshi's Island and the Mushroom Kingdom, even in situations where Mario is absent. As a result, this Yoshi is very well-known and is seen as a figure to look up to in the Mushroom Kingdom as well as many others, including other sidekicks and dinosaurs. Though there has been a common confusion made up where this Yoshi is the only one in the Pantheon. That's not really the case as it's more the entire race that's ascended, the green one happens to be a mascot to represent the race as a whole, all the way down to including different invites that invite beings from his world. As a further indication, the main Yoshi in the Pantheon is said to be one of the Seven Star Children, and the youngest, so in addition to being Mario's best friend and most loyal traveling companion, he's also destined to be one of the Mushroom Kingdom's most influential figures and it's best heroes.
* The Yoshis are some the most well-known dinosaurs in the Pantheon, and that is no thanks to their presence and their reputation as heroes, even before Mario reached up to adulthood and began fighting Bowser by himself. The race is openly welcomed in the House of Pantheon/Heroism, though there's not much in the way of communication. What's even weirder is that Yoshis usually communicate by saying their own name, yet somehow, everyone can understand them. They'll help anyone in need (after all, for most of them, it's in their nature), yet they have a serious quench for fruits that they couldn't ignore either. It turns out that there are a number of fruits that actually imbue Yoshis with all sorts of special powers, such as Flight and fire-breathing. In addition to being a relatively peaceful species, they're also among the most formidable ones, no thanks to their sapience, wide assortment of abilities, and being determined to protect their homes and anyone that they can consider a friend.
* Despite being dinosaurs, its a surprise for many to see that the Yoshis don't have a spot in the Hall of Pantheon/MesozoicBeasts, though they do occupy a position in a nearby Hall in the same House. That doesn't stop the Yoshis from having a strong association with the former regardless and they aren't the only dinosaurs that intrinsically aren't in the Hall of Mesozoic Beasts either. It helps that there's plentiful amounts of greenery and fruits there that they can enjoy getting around with. Speaking of inhabitants, the Yoshis enjoy a great deal of company there, especially the Gang of Seven, a group of dinosaurs who've had a wide assortment of adventures and perils to deal with. Yoshi generally likes the young dinosaurs' company and plan on going out on all sorts of journeys whereas the Gang of Seven are eager to allow the Yoshis into their domain and the Great Valley, that is if their parents and other adults are willing to let them enter as well as allow the to browse through whatever fruits they hold there.
** The Yoshis were also appreciated by a few humans with an affinity to dinosaurs, namely Harry, Alan Grant, and Jack Tenrec. Harry, being a big fan of dinosaurs to the point where he sees his toys as sentient beings find the Yoshis to be a very enjoyable presence to be around with, wasting no time in doing all sorts of activities and planning a few adventures, though the dinosaurs do tend to be wary of Harry's well-being just in case. Dr. Grant expressed some curiousity regarding the Yoshis, but eventually came to live them thanks to their helpful nature as well as them generally liking to hang out with and even help Alan in his palaeontology expeditions, though with a "no-eating" rule to make sure they don't cause unintentional damage. Finally, Jack, a man fascinated and protective of nature, sees the Yoshis as some of the most spectacular dinosaurs he's seen thanks to their way of thinking and their nature of helping others and is more than welcome to meet, hang out, and fight alongside one. It helps that Jack himself has a pet Allosaurus named Hermes, which means he can further respect the Yoshi's camaraderie and loyalty towards others.
* Of the many vicious dinosaurs that dwell there, the one that seems to hold the most animosity towards the Yoshis was Riptor. At first, the Yoshis were unnerved by her savage nature and tend to avoid the genetically engineered raptor whenever they could But as it turns out, there was a battle simulation done by Wiz and Boomstick that pitted a Yoshi against Riptor… and Yoshi won due to a combination of intelligence and versatility, though Riptor did get to kill a Baby Yoshi during the fight. This Death Battle, being a very old one was quickly forgotten by many, but Riptor managed to hold on to that memory, and is more than determined to turn the tables prove herself the superior dinosaur. What's more annoying on Riptor's part is that even if the Yoshis take her seriously, there's still more active and dangerous threats than just a modified raptor, and Riptor has taken this as a notice to really try making herself out as the Yoshis' ArchEnemy, even if everyone agrees that that title belongs to Kamek, who himself finds the situation regarding Riptor humorous.
* Outside of Riptor, other predatory dinosaurs that concern the Yoshis include the Spinosaurus, Carnotaurus, Sharptooth, and One Eye. While the former two are simply just predators, albeit with the Spinosaurus being more aggressive than most animals, Sharptooth and One Eye are more malevolent threats that sometimes kill just for fun. That said, the Yoshis aren't their main target for course, instead targeting other dinosaurs, which ends up with the Yoshis becoming the interrupters towards them instead, not willing to see their friends get devoured, causing the villainous Tyrannosaurus trio to either back down or try more defensive and strategic measures to get around. The deadliest dinosaurs as far as the Yoshis are concerned are the hybrids, Indominus and Indoraptor, and the feared Brute Wyvern, Deviljho, given that they're all capable of inducing great fear towards others as well as wreaking an untold amount of havoc and destruction along the way. The Indominus and Indoraptor intend on preying on the Yoshis if given the chance, though they'd rather do the hunt independently, whereas the Deviljho will simply consume whatever it can get it's jaws on and will fight against an entire population of Yoshis if that's what it takes to satiate it's horrific hunger. On the other hand, given the amount of damage they can cause, the Yoshis do their best to avert any sort of encounter with the three of them.
** Speckles was one of the few predatory dinosaur who, instead of antagonizing Yoshi, found instead a decent companion to interact and hang out with. Both have paternal instincts as a major virtue for them, but Speckles does feel as if he became a little too harsh of his surviving son, Speckles Jr. when he proved to be unable to hunt to a case of PTSD from nearly being killed by One Eye. Even when the Yoshis found out about Speckles's tragic life and the fact that he has to kill because of his nature as a predator, they instead insisted on simply befriending Speckles and his son as well as being of moral support for the Tarbosaurus pair. Speckles was thankful for the Yoshis for offering him and his son some company. Jr. personally really like the Yoshis, and though he can't enjoy eating fruit unlike them, the Yoshis were still insisting on finding other ways to have fun with the Tarbsaur infant, which made the pair more than happy to have the Yoshis as their friends.
* While Mario will remains Bowser's ArchEnemy, Yoshi may as well be his first, and Bowser would just as easily consider Yoshi the runner-up of his list of greatest enemies, if mainly because it's because of the Yoshis that Mario and Bowser really know one another. Even then, despite their enmity, Mario seeing Bowser as a friend, and Bowser begrudgingly and conversely seeing him as a WorthyOpponent has led to the two actually spending time doing some quality events like playing sports and go-karting, with Yoshi and many other of Mario's friends, enemies and acquaintances getting involved. However, there is one foe that the Yoshis cannot see in any positive light: The Shroobs. It's bad enough that the Shroobs desire genocide above all, but what they've tried to do with the Yoshis has cemented the dinosaurs' opposition towards them, especially considering they used a Shroobified Yoshi known as Yoob as a breeding ground for more of its kind via devouring other Yoshis and processing them for conversion. And with most of the other races of their world having a similar opinion, the Yoshis are not alone in fighting against the Shroobs, alongside giving the dinosaurs an awareness to be wary of other sorts of extraterrestrial threats.
* While it's not obvious at first sight, the concept of Yoshi as a whole was mainly centred on the Tyrannosaurus, only shrunk, more intelligent and cuter, before it's appearance eventually became more distinct. That said, there was a time where a Yoshi was instead physically based on a Velociraptor, a fact that the Yoshis don't really know what to make of. Incidentally, they were a bit perplexed by an encounter with a quartet of Raptors that were led by Owen Grady. Initially, the Raptors perceived the Yoshis as prey, though Owen was able to barely convince them otherwise. In fact, the Yoshis once even helped the Raptors out when they were attacked by the Indominus, which is what allowed them to find a measure of respect for each other. Some of the Yoshis do remain wary of the Raptor Pack, though Owen, being their Herald (and the pack alpha) is doing his best to ensure that good terms can be managed between the two dinosaur species, even if the job can prove to be quite difficult. Some of the Yoshis are optimistic enough to hold out some faith on Owen's word.
* While he isn't too familiar with the world of Mobius, the Yoshis nonetheless do manage to befriend and work alongside many of its inhabitants, with Silver the Hedgehog even finding a form of FriendlyRivalry with the dinosaurs via participating in a couple of sporting and Olympic events. Many have wondered just how do Yoshi and Silver get along, despite having very little in common with one another, but the two have basically admitted that they simply respect each others' commitment to heroism, their abilities and strengths, and generally seeing each other as a good sport whenever they would like to compete. There was one being that the Yoshis feared and despised from Mobius; Metallix. Not only was the evolved Metal Sonic a killing machine who raved on destruction, but he also destroyed Mobius at one point as well as wreaking havoc in the Mushroom Kingdom, even once almost killing Yoshi when the two met for the first time. Needless to say, the Yoshis actually treat him as one of their worst enemies, perhaps more so than even the Shroobs as Metallix did destroy Yoshi's Island in an effort to get rid of his adversaries. The omnicidal robot would also like to get back to killing the Yoshis and their friends if he ever gets the moment to do so, but the dinosaurs alongside all their friends are more than ready to fight back if needed.
* Speaking of sporting events, the Yoshis managed to find another friend in Dino and Hoppy, given that they're quite carefree in nature and, most of all, enjoy simply having a fun time whenever they could. Hoppy, being an enthusiast, was eager to invite Yoshi along for a few boxing matches, which the dinosaur accepted out of goodwill. While platforming, adventuring and using projectiles via converting Mooks into eggs and throwing them back is their specialty, Yoshi is still more than capable of getting into close-quarters combat if that's what it takes. His presence even attracted the attention of the Rogers, a family of genetically engineered kangaroos who specialized in boxing and decided to take their bets on Yoshi. The green dinosaur ended up reminding the Rogers of a fellow friend, a genetically engineered Velociraptor named Alex who also took to boxing as his main forte in a professional life and as his main combat style. Of course, the Yoshis were eager to accept the Rogers as a friend that they're more than welcome to invite over, and the Rogers were happy with the hospitality, seeing this as an opportunity to make more friends and hone their fighting skills.
* Given their journey to reunite Mario with Luigi back in their infancy as well as generally being protective of babies, the Yoshis are seen with a lot of respect by the House of Pantheon/ChildhoodAndAdolescence and are knighted as patron saints by the Heroic Protectors of Family in the House of Pantheon/FamilyAndRelatives. While the Yoshis are more than ready to protect any child from being kidnapped, they do admit that they would rather try to interact and play around with them as a way to make them happy and make new friends and memories with them. Of course, the Yoshis' reputation and presence would not be unnoticed by The Child Abuse Supporters, who feel annoyed by the fact that they have an entire species for an adversary to deal with and considering their feats and determination, they're not easy foes to take down. So far, the Yoshis are more focused on maintaining goodwill with their newfound allies and friends and serve as a mediator of sorts in keeping things optimistic and friendly.
** One of the most notable encounters between Yoshi and an infant came with Baby Bink, a little boy who was known to have had a really wacky adventure when he was suddenly lost and a bunch of thieves tried to kidnap him for a profit, which instead yielded hilarious results and outcomes. A Yoshi once accepted to look after Bink as a babysitter, only for the boy to just wander away and take constant sightsees in the Pantheon. The Yoshi did his best to make sure he doesn't fall in danger as well as not stumbling across some of the more unsavoury Houses, only for him to to face constant trouble and peer-pressure over his job. Oh sure, Baby Bink safely made it back home, but the Yoshi had to take up a beating from a Rathalos once Bink accidentally stumbled across the nest of the Winged Wyvern, followed by kidnapping attempt. He'll defend Baby Bink, but the Yoshi really doesn't want to be reminded of the time it was on babysitting hell. And he's not the only one to endure such, with others unfortunate enough to struggle through with taking care of Baby Bink including Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Joseph Joestar, The Three Stooges Tom, and Jerry.
* Aside from their heroics and friendly nature, Yoshis are generally known for their massive appetite. While they're known as cute, loyal, and heroic dinosaurs for a lot of denizens in the Pantheon, there are just as many who have come to see them as a threat capable of converting a foe into a weaponized egg that they would use against all sorts of enemies and to some, the Yoshis are as appreciated as they are feared. And they're not the only one with that kind of reputation either (sort of) as Kirby is also known for swallowing enemies to attain a powerset from them. It came off as no surprise when the Yoshis and Kirby just met, played with, and got along with each other really well. Such a duo came to be really loved by kids and their friends and got their enemies on high alert on just what they can be capable of. On a lighter note, they would have eating competitions in the House of Pantheon/Food, though the Yoshis would also take a detour in the House of Pantheon/Nature in case fruits are more bountiful there. Not that Kirby doesn't mind, being eager to follow the Yoshis there as a sign of their friendship and good sport.
* The Yoshis are more than aware of otherworldly threats and even before being recognized in the Pantheon, they were familiar with crossing over to other worlds. The aforementioned olympic sporting with the Mobius denizens aside, one particular Yoshi was chosen as one of the twelve original fighters to compete in VideoGame/SuperSmashBros and has remained a mainstay ever since. It's also there where Yoshi met up with al sorts of new friends to get along with and fight alongside, such as Link when the two banded together to fight against the Subspace Army, Kirby, and even the Chocobos, whom had some degree of similarity as friendly, loyal mounts for a hero. Yoshi's experience with fighting threats like Tabuu, Galeem and Dharkon helped a lot on getting the Yoshis to recognize greater threats in the Pantheon and making the most of their efforts to be of as helpful to their friends as possible.

*A she-wolf gives birth to a litter of five cubs, but only one of them survives following a lynx attack that killed the others and the she-wolf’s mate. They cross paths with a tribe of Native Americans, with Grey Beaver, one member of the tribe, recognizing the she-wolf as Kiche, his dead brother’s wolfdog who had left prior. The cub, now given the name White Fang by the tribe, endures a hard life in part of the tribe’s pups hating him for being a wolfdog, shaping White Fang to be a ruthless dog. Later on, White Fang ends up in Fort Yukon with Grey Beaver and ends up in the hands of the villainous dogfighter Beauty Smith who forces him to fight other canines. It’s through gold hunter Weedon Scott, who had stopped a deadly fight White Fang ended up in and forcefully bought the wolfdog from Beauty Smith, that White Fang’s life takes a turn for the better. After being domesticated by Weedon, White Fang follows him to California and learns to further adjust to being a pet. An escaped convict threatens to get revenge on Weedon, but after White Fang puts an end to those plans, the wolfdog is finally able to live a peaceful life with sheep-dog Collie and their litter of puppies.
*Following an arduous life, White Fang has been able to relax and live peacefully, though things took a turn for the unexpected when Weedon received a letter in the mail from an unknown sender asking about a meeting regarding White Fang. There was a bit of concern, but when the time came for the meeting, the person who arrived happened to be friendly and had a dog of his own for White Fang to hang out with while the conversation with Weedon was taking place. Once the conversation had wrapped up and the visitors left, Weedon told White Fang about a “Pantheon” that was the subject of that conversation and showed the wolfdog various pictures from the place and a couple brochures that provided more detailed information about what to expect from a world as large as the Pantheon. While there was some concern from White Fang about what could happen in the Pantheon, Weedon promised the wolfdog that he’ll be by his side even in an unusual setting, giving White Fang some relief in regards to potential concerns regarding problems similar to what the wolfdog endured back then.
*In many ways, White Fang’s adventures can be seen as a counterpart to that of Buck as the former went from being a stray animal to a pet while the latter went through the opposite progression. Regardless of the differences, one thing that they had in common was that they both have (or had in Buck’s case) an owner that had a strong bond with them that would shape them to being who they would become at the end of their journey. While White Fang went out on an adventure with Weedon, the wolfdog met Buck in the cold wilderness one day and both could tell that there was something similar, yet different about the other. Not only that, but Buck saw Weedon as having something in common with John Thornton in terms of caring masters. In the end, the two canines saw each other as a reflection of what their past lives were like, but still good friends nevertheless.
*At times, Batman had his own canine companion, Ace the Bat-Hound, to help him in his crime-fighting endeavors, though one version of how he originally met Ace was a bit similar to how White Fang ended up with Weedon Scott, but with some notable differences in how things played out. Ace was originally involved with illegal dogfighting before running away and met Bruce Wayne, where he helped the former Batman fend off a thug, prompting Bruce to adopt him. From there, Ace would help Bruce and the current Batman, Terry Mcginnis, in fighting crime, though it took a bit of time before Terry and Ace got along with each other. While White Fang has had his share of encountering danger, it isn’t to the same level that Bruce and Terry had to go through, but meeting the wolfdog certainly brought Ace to mind and the two have made sure White Fang is safe should Weedon Scott end up in grave danger.
*Hagen was another canine who found himself in illegal fights against other dogs as part of significant events that would shape who he would become, but while White Fang would find himself on the path of rehabilitation, Hagen went down a darker path related to revenge. Both Hagen and White Fang would also contend with discrimination related to their status as mixed-breed canines. Hagen’s former owner Lili served as a calming influence for him given how much she cared about him prior to being separated from her, though said separation was the catalyst for Hagen’s adventure while White Fang being calmed by Weedon was a later part of the wolfdog’s life. While there was a significant contrast to how things played for for them, Buck played a role in helping White Fang befriend Hagen and seeing as how White Fang’s current owner is just as caring as Lili was for him, Hagen was willing to help White Fang out when things get tough for the wolfdog.
*White Fang’s first master was Grey Beaver, a Native American who was part of a tribe and made the then-young wolfdog a part of it alongside Kiche, White Fang’s mother. The wolfdog had a difficult time there due to the other pups hating him for being a wolfdog in spite of the tribe and Grey Beaver not showing the same kind of hostility towards him. Through Buck, White Fang met a notable Native American known as Pocahontas who showed reverence towards nature and the process of her befriending White Fang happened just as quickly as she did with Buck, if slightly quicker given Buck’s issue with Native Americans killing John Thornton and White Fang having been part of a Native American tribe and later being domesticated by Weedon. White Fang has visited Pocahontas whenever he is traversing around nature-based parts of the Pantheon and sees her as a kinder soul than Grey Beaver, who had his share of flaws as a person.
*At the hands of Beauty Smith, White Fang ended up being abused and forced to take part in dogfighting against other animals, with a lynx being one of his opponents during such a tenure. This remains a dark chapter in White Fang’s life and seeing others treat animals poorly in the Pantheon was something that made the wolfdog bitter. Of those kinds of individuals, Rusty was one standout example of poor animal treatment (even if the “animals” Rusty has with him were more fantastical than others and some not even resembling actual animals) that it made White Fang snarl at Rusty whenever they met. Given how Rusty has attempted multiple times to make his companions do things that they aren’t meant to do, the fact that he has a record of killing his “pets”, and that he’s seemingly incapable of realizing his mistakes, White Fang has every reason to despise him and on his bad days, has even attacked the trainer to force him out of his sight.
*Putting up with horrible human beings was an issue for White Fang as is, but he has gone through plenty of life-or-death scenarios which are sometimes tied to said humans. Beyond that, there are those in the Pantheon who have no issues killing animals like White Fang if it means gaining some monetary value out of it or for amusement. Given how much canines hate Cruella De Vil as is, it isn’t much of a surprise that White Fang harbors that same contempt towards her, especially since she has considered expanding her fashion empire to include more “exotic” fur coats made out of wolves or other canines that are more extraordinary than regular breeds. White Fang doesn’t have much of an issue going up against Cruella by herself, though if she’s hired some outside help to make things easier for her, then other canines who are on White Fang’s side will get involved to make things even.
*While White Fang was a sled dog like Buck, that occupation only happened for a period of time and wasn’t the main thing that he was known for. It didn’t stop him from having a meeting with Balto, who was acquainted with Buck and had dealt with similar discrimination from others over being part-wolf. While White Fang’s tenure as a sled dog didn’t accomplish much other than hardening his own character, Balto knew that lives were on the line regarding medicine being shipped and a hostile sled dog that was only interested in having the fame for himself, regardless of who dies in the process. Balto certainly had his own personal angst to confront, but the sled dog was disturbed at how bad White Fang had it before finding a peaceful life in the end. Even with the darker nature of events regarding White Fang, both wolfdogs found strong kinship with each other when it came to overcoming their personal struggles with the help of trusted individuals.
*If it weren’t for Weedon, then White Fang would have likely maintained a negative viewpoint of humans in addition to having a hostile attitude in the long run. While White Fang is able to live with a kind human that helped him reshape his behavior, the wolfdog learned of a couple of canines named Rowf and Snitter who have had a much harder life thanks to being runaway lab experiments and had a rather different opinion on humans. Rowf thoroughly dislikes humans given what he and Snitter had gone through, though the latter used to have a kind master before being an experiment and doesn’t exactly share the same belief on humans that Rowf does. The two learned of White Fang’s story and while people like Beauty Smith offered sufficient evidence for Rowf’s mindset, the end involving White Fang living a peaceful life with a mate and Weedon went over well with Snitter. Much like Buck’s view of the two, White Fang was supportive of Rowf and Snitter, though he has subtly given Snitter hints in making sure Rowf is more aware of humans who are genuinely benevolent whenever the runaway duo encounter them.
*White Fang wasn’t the only canine who was taken in by caring people after being a stray. Despite living in a more urban setting, The Tramp was someone who never had an owner (or at least, used to have an owner before being abandoned) and wasn’t very supportive of the idea of having an owner due to abandonment being an inevitability, but relied on his wits to survive, and it was his meeting with Lady, a domesticated canine, that he improved as a canine and the Tramp became part of Lady’s family and had puppies together. As The Tramp has gotten accustomed to being a house-pet while acknowledging his past as a stray, he and Lady heard about White Fang’s story and how brutal it was for the wolfdog and how things felt dire until Weedon took him in and helped him recover. It didn’t stop the two from welcoming White Fang to their home whenever they visit and the wolfdog is willing to protect the two whenever The Tramp’s street-smarts aren’t enough.
