Three Amigos is a disambiguation

* ThreeAmigos: At the start of the series, Rokudou, Hinomoto (Colonel), and Kijima (Kachou) are the weakling non-delinquent friend trio of Aomori High. The group eventually gets bigger once they start befriending delinquents. Iinuma even becomes the official 4th member of the group following his mini-arc later on.

Do not use even unpotholed mentions of Complete Monster outside of actual entries and trope descriptions.

In a desperate effort to change his life around, Rokudou uses an ancestral artifact that was passed down in his family for generations; a scroll that was said to be capable of subduing all demons. The scroll ends up working as evidenced by the ancestral pentagram symbol that's now etched on Rokudou's forehead, but the effect was not what he originally expected. Instead, all bad girls, such as his delinquent classmates at Amori, have all suddenly fallen in love with him. In addition, one such girl he ends up getting the attention of is Ranna Himawari; a powerful delinquent who's been deemed a complete monster due to her easily beating up anyone she comes across. From then on, Rokudou uses this life changing event to finally build up that happy school-life he's always wanted, and to one day reform Ranna into a good person.

* LoveRedeems: Try as she might hide it under her ruthless persona, Sakura Sachiko genuinely loves her adopted daughter Chiyo. * PrincessPhase: Himeno seems to be going through this since she sees herself as a princess that should be taken by a prince on his white horse. In this case, the "prince and his horse" is a policeman on his white motorcycle.

* ThrillSeeker: Furuikawa Aoi of the Onishima Alliance is this since he loves riding his motorcycle at fast speeds. He also enjoys the danger of going fast, such as just barely passing by a train at the last second.

* TheDreaded: In the delinquent world, everyone is scared of Ranna since they all know how much of a powerful monster she is. Her introduction shows her off taking out a whole gang of delinquents by herself.

* EnfantTerrible: Ranna was this growing up. Even at just a couple years old, she was already beating up delinquents. Her foster parents believe that she was born evil.

* NonActionGuy: For awhile, Rokudou wasn't much of a fighter. Though he does finally start fighting on his own terms after learning how to use martial arts.

* StoryBreakerPower: Ranna is such a monstrously powerful delinquent that the author tends to come up with excuses to not have her play a part within the StoryArc until certain points. This is usually done by having her elsewhere while Rokudou and friends are dealing with whatever the current problem is, or because Rokudou himself convinces her in some way to not get involved since it's his goal to eventually transform her into a good person, and not see her get hurt anymore.

----

!!Rokudou no Onna-tachi provides examples of:
* AdviceBackfire: During the Minami arc, a loan shark girl, Minami, gives advice to Rokudou on how to deal with loan sharks due to the spell causing her to fall in love with him. Unbeknownst to her, the advice that Minami is providing to Rokudou is to help out a friend that is being tormented by Minami's loan shark gang.
* ActionGirl: The series is filled with delinquent girls that kick major butt. Amongst the main characters are Ranna and Osanada.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Nagori actually has a crush on Minami, but is unable to confess his feelings for her. He cries his eyes out when he has to split from her at the end of their story arc due to learning that love hurts.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: No matter what kind of martial art you learn, anyone that has more years of experince in fighting in general compared to at best a few months will easily be the victor. During the climax of the Amori and Harikura War arc, Rokudou suffered a CurbStompBattle from Yagen, his only hits coming from the element of surprise.
* AnAesop:
** The main aesop that can be taken away from this series is that it takes a lot of work for one to have a wonderful school life. Rokudou goes to great lengths throughout the series just to make sure that he can finally have that fun and peaceful school life at the delinquent filled Amori High.
** The Minami arc actually provides a bit of a lesson on money lending. If someone you care about is in need of money, then the provider should hand it over as a gift rather than as a loan expecting to get that money back one day. Loans destroy potential friendships.
* AnOfferYouCantRefuse: To recruit Ranna into the Onishima Alliance, Douji attempts this on her by claiming that the only way Ranna can protect Rokudou from the Amori delinquents that have turned on him is to join the alliance. Ranna turns down the offer at first, but agrees to go along with it when she remembers some meaningful words about taking other people's feelings into account that Rokudou told her earlier.
* TheApprentice: Rokudou, Colonel, Kachou, and Iinuma all become these to Ling Lan, Erimo, Rum, and Kakeru respectively in order to learn kung fu from martial arts experts.
* ArcVillain: Each arc usually deals with a specific delinquent character that Rokudou and friends need to fight against. They're usually the leader of a group of delinquents.For instance, Matsugamiya Douji serves as this during the Onishima Alliance arc.
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: The kung fu delinquents are this when they're not wearing Kakejiku's evil sealing Gremlin necklaces.
* ArtShift: This series tends to pull this a lot. Particularly when delinquents are in normal mode vs. badass delinquent mode.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: How Yashiya tends to fight. She gets down the feel of the fight with some initial attacks, and once she understands how her opponent fights, she goes all-out knowing exactly how to beat down her opponent.
* BackStory: The Christmas arc delves into Ranna's past. She was left behind as a baby in a basket at the Himawari Temple, and the Himawaris end up becoming foster parents to Ranna. However, over the years that Ranna grew up, the two realized that Ranna loved violence as if she were a demon baby that god brought to them in the hopes of reforming her.
* BadassBiker:
** Delinquents will often be seen riding around on motorcycles throughout the series. One StoryArc is even centered around motorcycle gangs and a delinquent biker that Rokudou wants to reform.
** Himeno Azami is basically this. She even gets a whole StoryArc dedicated to her.
* BadassPreacher: Rokudou's ancestor was supposedly this since it was he that used the scroll technique that protected humans from the monsters.
* BefriendingTheEnemy: The series pretty much revolves around this. The exorcism spell that is cast upon Rokudou causes delinquent girls to fall for him, which allows for Rokudou to befriend them, and go about changing their life for the better.
* BerserkButton: Characters suddenly becoming angry tends to happen A LOT throughout this series, which makes sense given all the delinquent characters. Ranna for example will show anger towards anyone who threatens or even simply annoys Rokudou.
* TheBet: Plays a huge role during the Azami motorcycle arc. To defeat Aoi, Rokudou has to take part in a game of tag where Rokudou has to hang on to Aoi while he drives super fast, and in the meantime, Rokudou's friends have to try to catch Aoi before Rokudou falls off Aoi's motorcycle.
* BetaCouple: Outside of the main Rokudou/Ranna couple, there's a couple other duos that seem pretty obvious.
** Despite Tsubaki being a "bad girl" that gets slightly affected by Rokudou's love spell, the series makes it quite clear that she's still Iinuma's girlfriend, and just sees Rokudou as a friend.
** Another couple that gets teased later on is Azami with Aoi. Particularly starting in chapter 75 where Aoi helps Azami deliver pizzas.
** The Chromosome arc makes it quite clear that Yashiya may have finally found a boy toy worthy enough for her in Yagen.
* BigDamnHeroes:
** Rokudou's friends will sometimes have this moment where they arrive to help him during one of his attempts to reform a delinquent that he's befriended.
** Ling Lan comes to help out Minami when a group of delinquents try to take advantage of the latter when she's transfering into Amori High.
* TheBigDamnKiss: In chapter 205, after trying to protect her her when they are knocked down a cliff, [[spoiler:Azami kisses Aoi]].
* BittersweetEnding: Happens in several arcs.
** The end of the Minami arc is this somewhat. Minami moves on from her days as a loan shark thanks to Rokudou's efforts, but she has to split up from her gang friends, Jin and Nagori, since the two of them still gotta do work for their dangerous sponsor, Sakura. This ending is bittersweet for Jin even more so because even though he got out of debt to Sakura, he's still stuck having to work for her since he failed to take the money from Kouta's family as he was ordered to.
** The end of the Chromosome arc ends up as this. Rokudou and friends successfully protect Harikura High from the threat of Yashiya's Chromosome gang, but Rokudou had to step up as a man to provide Raino a proper rejection to her love confession.
* BreatherEpisode: Cooldown chapters occur between each StoryArc.
** Chapter 15 is a breather after the Osanada arc. Said chapter is primarily Rokudou and his friends having a fun time at Rokudou's house.
** Chapters 29 and 30 are breathers after the Azami arc. The former has Rokudou's class tasked to clean the school while the latter has Rokudou and friends having a get-together at a diner.
** Chapters 74-76 are breathers after the Onishima Alliance arc. The first is Rokudou and his friends having fun at a video-game arcade. The second is Rokudou and friends offering to help Azami with her pizza delivery jobs only for Aoi to step in. The third is Iinuma trying out social media on his phone.
** Chapter 96 is a breather after the Minami arc where Rokudou and friends take part in a HotSpringsEpisode.
** Chapter 130 is a breather after the Ling Lan arc where Iinuma ends up being nice for the day after having an evil-sealing Gremlin necklace put on him.
** Chapters 163-166 are breathers after the Chromosome arc. 163 is an Aoi and Azami chapter where Aoi mistakes Osanada's birthday for his. 164 is Ling Lan taking on a job at the store that Minami works at. 165 is Ranna and Iinuma trying out original figurines only to end up buying life-sized ones. 166 serves as a [[ADayInTheLimelight limelight]] chapter for [[NiceGirl Mizue]] as she befriends Osanada, Tsubaki and Azami and learns about how far along Rokudou has fallen into delinquency.
* BossBattle: The end of the Onishima Alliance arc ends up as this where Rokudou and all the friends he's made up to that point all gang up on Douji.
* TheBully: Bullying is seen a lot amongst the school delinquents. At the start of the series, Iinuma was this towards Rokudou before his character development started to kick in.
* TheBusCameBack:
** The Chromosome arc brings back several characters that dropped out of the story after the Onishima Alliance arc. Yashiya reappears having created the Chromosome gang, Raino and Kazeno reappear having transferred into Harikura High, and even the students of Harikura High, such as the school's banchou, Okamori, reappears.
** The Sachiyo arc continued to bring back characters from previous arcs. The main reveal is Sachiyo's mother being none other than the yakuza, Sakura, that Jin was indebted to during the Minami arc. Speaking of the Minami arc, Jin and Nagori make a return given their connection to Sakura. It then turns out that Kurokata from the Osanada arc and Tateshima from the Ling arc also make returns here. Kurokata is shown to have taken on a job to begin turning his life around but got involved after one of the arc's antagonists investigated and confronted him. Meanwhile, Tateshima enters the picture due to his connections to the underworld, which he ended up getting taken in by Sakura.
* TheCavalry: Happens a lot when either Rokudou's friends arrive to help him, or Rokudou arrives with his friends to help someone they believe to be in trouble.
** Chapter 22 has Rokudou's bike gang arrive to help Azami deal with her issue concerning Aoi's motorcycle gang.
** Chapter 50 has Azami and the bike gang she won from Aoi arrive at Amori High to help Rokudou deal with the Onishima Alliance.
* CentralTheme: Anyone can have a fun and peaceful school life.
* ChainPain: Some of the delinquents are seen with chains connected to their facial piercings. One is also seen using a chain as a weapon.
* ChallengingTheBully: Basically the first story arc. After being inspired by Ranna keeping her promise not fight others, Rokudou decides to face his bully, Iinuma, himself instead of relying on Ranna to protect him.
* CharacterDevelopment: Characters throughout the series develop as the series goes on.
** Rokudou for example goes from being a weak normal boy scared of all the surrounding delinquents, to eventually gathering a group of delinquent friends while gaining the confidence and fighting ability to help those in need.
** During the Chromosone Arc, Ranna shows some development when [[spoiler:she actually gets angry at Rokudou for biting off more than he can chew in a fight and not relying on her strength to help him]].
* CharacterFocus: Story arcs are usually centered around certain characters. Early on, Osanada, Azami, and Ranna all got arcs centered around them.
* ChaseScene: Several times.
** The climax of the Azami motorcycle arc is where Rokudou and his friends play a game of tag to catch the gang leader, Aoi, on his motorcycle.
** A brief moment of the Minami arc has the gang trying to catch Jin in a taxi.
* ChekhovsGunman:
** In chapter 9 Rokudou recalls the bullies who used to harass him when he was in elementary school and how one of them eventually got the nice girl he had a crush on to become a bad girl. [[spoiler:In the Chiyo arc, that same bully appears now as one of Sakura's top lieutenent's]].
** A bald man in debt to Sakura Credit who appears at the start of the Minami arc turns out to be the guy later on who discovers the location that Jin ran off to with the loan shark gang's money.
* ChickMagnet: Rokudou became this after messing around with an exorcism scroll (being a bullying victim, he was hoping it'd banish the evil from his day-to-day life). The problem is, it only works on female delinquents. So now he's got gaggles of bad girls, ganguro punks, smoking gang girls, scrappers and gang leaders after him. All spearheaded by the terrifying sukeban Ranna.
* ChristmasEpisode: A mini-arc surrounding Christmas takes place after the Minami arc from chapters 97 to 102. These chapters also include Rokudou going out on an actual date with Ranna, meeting her foster parents, and delving into Ranna's life growing up.
* CombatClairvoyance: Sachiyo Sakura is a decent fighter and by looking into the eyes of another person she can see their future, both immediate situations and ones some time in the future. Using her skills, [[spoiler:she is able to avoid and defeat Ling Lan's attacks and win against her. When she tries the same against Ranna, however, she can maybe avoid one or two attacks, but Ranna is too strong and Sachiyo forsees there is no future where she can win against her]].
* CombatPragmatist: Akai Kouhei will use any method he can to get the upper hand in a fight. Though to Iinuma, it's because of this that he views Kouhei to be a dirty fighter.
* CommissarCap: The delinquents that are the school banchous tend to wear these. Osanada in particular is seen wearing this type of cap a lot.
* CommLinks: Going along with his "military" character, Colonel provides walkie-talkies so that Rokudou's group can communicate with one another.
* ConMan: Jin, a delinquent in Minami's Sakura Credit gang is actually a con-artist who befriends loan sharks until he's able to take their money from him. His actions resulted in Jin gaining a fake hero reputation as the Loan Shark Hunter.
* ContrivedCoincidence: Rokudou meets the loan shark delinquent, Yamabuki Minami, because at that particular moment, they were both going after a store's 50% off lunch container.
* CoolBike: The series is filled with these since they're usually being ridden by delinquents. Motorcycles are especially the focus during the Azami arc.
** Iinuma ''thinks'' his bike designs are cool. Everyone else finds them garish and overdone.
* CorneredRattlesnake: Basically what a part of Matsugamiya Douji's plan is to recruit Ranna into the Onishima Alliance. He turns the school of Amori against Rokudou in order to make Ranna try to protect him as the dangerous monster delinquent ally that Douji wants her to be.
* {{Crossdresser}}: Crossdressing happens several times throughout the series.
** The Sumire siblings do it throughout the Onishima Alliance arc.
** Later on, Rokudou, Osanada and Iinuma end up crossdressing in order to help Harukura High deal with the Chromosome gang since crossdressing makes them look like other people, and not as Amori students that the Harukura students hate. They also take on fake names: Touko for Rokudou, Yousuke for Osanada, and Haruo for Iinuma.
* DamselInDistress: Rokudou ends up in an odd situation of this during the Chromosome arc. While in a female disguise, he gets taken captive by the Chromosomes, but while being held captive, he's treated nicely due to the fact that Yashiya has fallen in love with his female disguise due to the spell still having an effect on her. The result of his capture results in Rokudou's friends mounting an attack on the Chromosomes in order to rescue him.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: The delinquents that Rokudou helps out usually have these.
* DatePeepers: Kazeno and Okamori peep in on the restaurant meal between Rokudou and Raino to confirm if the date's real or not.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Each story arc usually provides focus to specific characters. Particularly if an arc is about Rokudou helping a delinquent deal with their current issue.
* DeceptiveDisciple: Tateshima is this towards Ling Lan. He stuck around Ling Lan in order to learn martial arts from her without her knowing that Tateshima was only using her for his own evil goals.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Basically what Rokudou says to Ranna so that she doesn't have to go around fighting as a monster delinquent. It becomes one of Rokudou's primary motivations in the series to change Ranna's life for the better.
* DelinquentHair: Given that this series' characters are primarily {{Delinquents}}, many sport this kind of hair.
* {{Delinquents}}: This series is loaded with them. Most of which are highschool JapaneseDelinquents.
* DesignatedGirlFight: Several fights throughout the series end up being a delinquent girl vs. a delinquent girl.
** During the Onishima Alliance arc, part of Douji's plan involved forcing Ranna to fight Otohime.
** The Chromosome arc gave us several girl vs. girl fights. At first, it was Raino vs. Yashiya, but then Ranna took over, and it became a Ranna vs. Yashiya fight.
* DespairEventHorizon: Minami ends up in this state when it's shown that Jin took all the money her gang worked for. However, she quickly gets out of it when Rokudou and his friends decide to help Minami solve the problem.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: Iinuma gets a short mini-arc after the Christmas chapters that go into what he wants to do in the future. He goes with working a mobile ramen stand, which combines his two favorite things in life: motorcycles and ramen.
* DirtyCop: [[spoiler:Sergeant Takematsu Shouji]] is one of loanshark Sakura's top Lieutenants as well as a member of the motorcycle police force. He will use his connections to create a fake case to get problematic people arrested.
* DisappointedInYou: During their fight, Yagen doesn't find Rokudou to be all that strong for someone that Yashiya hyped up as a powerful enough person that could take over as the banchou of both Amori and Harikura. However, he starts to change his tone once he sees that Rokudou refuses to fall, and that Rokudou actually accepts that the people around him have high expectations for him as their leader unlike Yagen, who hated the delinquents of Harikura High for having high expectations of him being the banchou. Yashiya ending up hurt was the final nail that gets him to realize that he should have been a better person for her.
* DistressedDude: Kachou (and his family) end up in this role during the Minami arc when they end up being taking advantage of by Minami's loan shark gang. In order to help Kachou, Rokudou and friends decide to take on jobs in order to get enough money to help pay off Kachou's money debt to Minami's loan shark gang.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: After Rokudou, Himawari Ranna serves as the next important character of the series, especially because Rokudou's overall goal is to one day transform her into a good person.
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: Why Jin took off with the Sakura Credit gang's money. His sponsor, Sakura, wanted Jin to take the money from Kouta's family, but after that plan falls apart due to Rokudou's intervention, his only option left was to take Minami's loan shark money in hopes that he can use it to finally pay off the debt that he owes to Sakura.
* {{Dominatrix}}: Yashiya Yui turns out to be this in a big way. When Yashiya becomes interested in a strong man, she dresses up in a BDSM outfit, and proceeds to beat the man up until he breaks.
* TheDragon: Some of the main villains of each arc have a clear second-in-command. Some examples being Yamada for Aoi, Kouhei for Douji, and Jin for Minami.
* DragonWithAnAgenda: This pops up quite a few times in the series where the number two delinquent of the group has a plan that goes against what the leader is doing.
** An example is Kurokata being against Rokudou's plan to reform Osanada since he desires for the banchou's gang to join up with the powerful Onishima Alliance.
** Jin was also this in the Sakura Credit gang. He befriends Minami knowing that she's the Bat loan shark in order to get enough money to one day take it from her, and pay off the debt he owes to his sponsor, Sakura.
* DramaticIrony: In chapter 167, the boys learn the limits of Rokudou's charm ability and Inumi notes he could have ensnared some dangerous adult women before now without intending to. There is a flashback to four months prior when [[spoiler:Yakuza Sachiko Sakura, leader of Sakura Credit, has looked at Rokudou's eyes and is under his charm. He walks off not realizing who he has ensnared]].
* TheDreaded: In the delinquent world, everyone is scared of Ranna since they all know how much of a powerful monster she is. Her introduction shows her off taking out a whole gang of delinquents by herself.
* TheDriver: What Azami becomes for Rokudou following her StoryArc.
* DrivingTest: Rokudou and Kachou decide to get drivers licenses when they decide to put a bike gang together with Colonel and Iinuma.
* DumbMuscle: The Onishima Alliance's Handou Wakanosuke is the very definition of this since he's a strong guy with low intellect. His loyalty to Douji is because the latter does the thinking for him.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: Rokudou works hard to make sure that in the end, he gets a peaceful and fun school life together with his friends. This usually requires him to help delinquents get their happy ending at the end of each of their story arcs, which they usually become genuine friends of Rokudou.
* EliteMooks: Amongst the delinquent leaders, they tend to have a couple people in their gangs who come off a step above the others. One example is the Chromosome gang where the leaders are clearly Yagen and Yashiya, yet they have two gang members who are a step up over simple mooks in Katsuya and Kazu.
* EnfantTerrible: Ranna was this growing up. Even at just a couple years old, she was already beating up delinquents. Her foster parents believe that she was born evil.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: In a series full of fighting delinquents, expect many establishing introductions to be a delinquent character beating up another. Ranna's establishing moment for example was beating up an entire gang of delinquents.
* EverybodyWasKungFuFighting: Kung fu fighting becomes a major component of the series by the time of the Ling Lan arc. Rokudou and his friends even receive training in kung fu at a mountain temple from a group of delinquents learning martial arts. Rokudou learns kung fu from Ling Lan, Iinuma learns Monkey Fist from Kakeru, Kachou learns Baji-Quan from Rum, and Colonel learns Taijiquan from Erimo.
* EverythingsWorseWithBears: Bears live on Mount Karukaya, Ranna ending up running into one during her search for Rokudou. [[AvertedTrope Except it's the bear that comes off the worse.]]
** Tateshima is also seen running into a Mount Karukaya bear during a flashback.
* EvilAllAlong: Tateshima's reveal during the Ling Lan arc was that he was in evil delinquent mode the entire time. He was faking being a "good guy" in order to learn martial arts from Ling Lan.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: The loan sharks of Sakura Credit assume Sachiko Sakura is pretending to act like a mother to Chiyo just to use her ability to see the future not realizing their boss develop a genuine motherly love for Chiyo.
* ExtremityExtremist: A lot of fights come down to how well the delinquents fight with their limbs.
** During the Onishima Alliance arc, Raino vs. Amano is basically a kicking duel.
* FaceOfAThug: Given that it's a series about delinquents, these types of faces are seen all throughout.
* FacialMarkings: Due to how important it is to establishing the story, the pentagram symbol on Rokudou's forehead is seen in pretty much every chapter from the moment that his grandfather's scroll's spell has been cast.
* FalseFriend: Kurokata towards Osanada since the whole point of his backstory was to befriend Osanada after witnessing her strength, and use her to make a powerful gang.
* {{Fantasy}}: Very downplayed, but there are some supernatural elements for a series that takes place in the normal world.
** The prime example is the ancestral scroll that Rokudou used which cast a spell to make all "bad girls" fall in love with him. The spell is symbolized by the marking on his forehead.
** Later on, supernatural necklace beads are added that allow people to control their "bad self." Wearing the beads switches delinquents into good people.
** Later still we meet Sachiyo, with apparently legitimate future vision.
* FashionDissonance: During the Christmas chapters, the clothes Rokudou wears for his date with Ranna are quite brutal. It didn't help that he got advice from Colonel and Kachou, who like Rokudou, have no sense of fashion.
** Iinuma has bad taste when it comes to decorating his bikes.
* FightScene: Given that it's a series where delinquents tend to get into fights with one another, there's a ton of these.
* {{Flashback}}: Seen throughout the series whenever it delves into a character or delinquent's backstory.
** One example is a flashback to Rokudou's losing his first love, Miyu, to a delinquent once he realizes that his scroll spell might ruin Osanada's first love event.
* {{Foil}}: Several cases.
** Rokudou and Douji are this towards one another, especially considering that they both come from a similar starting point where they both started off weak, but ended up getting strong by surrounding themselves with delinquent friends. They face off during the Onishima Alliance arc where Rokudou wants to make Ranna a good person while Douji wants Ranna to be his ally as a monstrous delinquent.
** Ranna and Yashiya are built up to be this towards one another. Both are amongst the strongest delinquent females seen in the series, but the former wants to protect Rokudou while the other wants to break him. Yashiya doesn't outright attack through Ranna to get to Rokudou during the Onishima Alliance arc, but she finally gets the chance to do so during the Chromosome arc. Their fighting styles are also completely opposite as Ranna just disposes of her opponents without thought while Yashiya takes time to analyze the fight before going all-out.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Occurs several times throughout the series.
** A hidden 3rd Sumire sibling was hinted at in chapters prior to Amano Sumire's reveal. Particularly a couple moments where Douji and Kazeno refer to Raino as a "he."
** Rokudou training up in fighting was hinted at in a couple chapters after the Onishima Alliance arc. Several arcs later the story has Rokudou learning martial arts.
** Sachiyo has a terrifying vision of the future involving Ranna standing over the unconscious and bloody bodies of the main cast.
* FourManBand: Rokudou's primary friends starts off as a trio at first that includes him, Colonel, and Kachou. It later becomes a four-man group of core friends once they include Iinuma into the group.
* {{Frameup}}: A part of Douji's plan to win Ranna over to his side is to frame the Team Ryuugu gang that she was once part of. Members of the Onishima Alliance dress up as Team Ryuugu gang members and beat up students of Amori High to make it look like Team Ryuugu has gone against Amori High, which of course pisses the Amori deliquents off.
* GameChanger: Basically how the overall story gets going. In order to change their dangerous life at a school of delinquents, Rokudou, Colonel, and Kachou decide to use an ancient scroll left behind by Rokudou's grandfather. The result is a bunch of "bad girl" delinquents falling in love with Rokudou due to the scroll's spell, which changes their school life from here on out.
* GangOfBullies: Given the student delinquent nature of the series, bully gangs tend to pop up a lot throughout.
* GenreShift: The first few arcs has a gag comedy feel to it with a bit of action from time to time. By the time of the Ling Lan arc, Rokudou and his friends end up learning martial arts, and the series begins to lean more into being a full-blown action series territory with bits of romance and harem hi-jinx mixed in.
* GoalInLife: Several are mentioned amongst characters throughout the series.
** The recurring theme of the series is Rokudou wanting a peaceful and fun school life. He also eventually wants to turn the monster delinquent, Ranna, into a good person.
** Of the Onishima Alliance, Douji's goal is to surround himself with powerful allies so that he doesn't have to fear being destroyed by someone more powerful.
** Yashiya Yui's goal is to find love... through BDSM on men that she deems strong.
** Iinuma gets a mini-arc later on centered around what he wants to do in the future. He comes up with the idea to one day combine his two favorite things, which is to make a ramen stand that he can pull around on a motorcycle.
** Tateshima puts together a multi-year long plan of learning kung fu from Ling Lan in order to eventually make a name for himself in the underworld.
** Kakeru's overall goal as a delinquent is for his Saiyuuki biker gang to become a legend that went around doing evil things.
* GondorCallsForAid: The the penultimate arc [[spoiler:the charm has finally worn off on Ranna and she vanishes after the fight with Sakura's lieutenents. While Rokudou and his immediate friends fail to find her, they are swarmed by nearly every single person whose lives were made better by Rokudo's actions and efforts in the series. Each one has come to help Rokudou find Ranna as well]].
* GoodEyesEvilEyes: This series tends to use this a lot, particularly with the delinquents. If they're being friendly and nice, they're usually portrayed with normal looking eyes. If they're in harsh delinquent mode however, their eyes are sharp and angry looking.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: A lot of the delinquent fights amount to punching matches.
* GrandRomanticGesture: Ranna tries to propose marriage to Rokudou during the Christmas arc. Given that he's still a young school kid, and knows about Ranna possibly turing into a monster delinquent again once his exorcism spell wears off, all she ended up doing was scaring him off.
* GroinAttack: Erimo hits Iinuma in the balls with her unicycle in chapter 118.
* GyaruGirl: Erimo's delinquent persona is an over-the-top Ganguro version of this.
* HappyEnding: This tends to be the case after each StoryArc since it usually amounts to Rokudou and his friends helping a delinquent (or several) reform their life for the better.
** Yagen and Yashiya get this oddly enough at the end of the Chromosome arc. After losing their fight against Rokudou and company, Yagen takes Yashiya away, and promises that he will one day become the man of her dreams.
* HaremGenre: An odd variation of this genre. Rokudou ends up gaining the attention of a bunch of "bad girls" that suddenly want to get to know him. However, Rokudou knows what he has isn't a true harem, and instead uses the spell to his advantage to befriend and help the girls with whatever problems they're dealing with. Eventually, some of these bad girls do eventually fall for him genuinely.
* HeelFaceTurn: Many delinquents end up going through this throughout the series once Rokudou and his friends get involved. It even becomes a goal of Rokudou to turn any delinquents he comes across into good people.
* HeroicBSOD: For a brief moment, Rokudou ends up breaking down and hiding in the bathroom again after the Onishima Alliance turns the delinquents of Amori High against him. However, Iinuma helps him out of it when he claims that the only one he will trust is Rokudou.
** A similar moment happens to Minami after Jin ran off with all the loan shark gang's money. However, she quickly gets out of it due to Rokudou's group helping her out.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Despite having the admiration of everyone at Harikura High as their incredible banchou, Yagen doesn't believe he's cut out for it, which results in him having a breakdown in the bathroom. He eventually starts to realize what his true calling is when he meets Yashiya, who convinces him that he's not actually a strong person. The result is him becoming a huge masochist.
* HomeBase:
** Early on when they need to hide from the Amori High delinquents, Rokudou, Colonel and Kachou use a school bathroom stall as their hideout. They hang out at Rokudou's home as well.
** Osanada has basically made a bedroom for herself at Amori.
* HotSpringsEpisode: Chapter 96 is this full-blast. It serves as a breather following the Minami arc.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: The way the delinquents fight can be quite unique sometimes. Ranna for example landed Takeru in the hospital by hitting him with a school desk, and during the Minami arc, she's using pieces of candy to knock people out on the head as if she's firing a gun.
* TheInfiltration: Using make-up from Raino and Kazeno, The trio of Rokudou, Iinuma and Osanada dress up as the opposite sex in order to support Harikura High against the Chromosome gang. The reason they dress up is to hide their Amori High identities since the Harikura High students hate Amori because the two schools are bitter rivals.
* InSeriesNickname: Some characters go by nicknames, such as Hinomoto being known as the "Colonel" and Kijima as "Kachou" ("Manager" when translated).
* InterrogationFlashback: Much of chapter 8 consists of this due to Osanada beating up a pervert trying to hit on her, which another guy that was following her got blamed and interrogated for since they find it hard to believe that what looked like a little girl beat up the first guy.
* JapaneseDelinquents: Given that this series takes place in Japan, many seen throughout the series are this. In addition, a lot of them are school student {{Delinquents}}.
* JourneyToFindOneself: In a parody of ''Literature/JourneyToTheWest'', Kakejiku decides to go on a journey alongside Kakeru, Irimo and Rum (and a tamed bear) following the Ling Lan arc, under the belief that they should see the world and learn more rather than just stay at the mountain temple the whole time. Their first spot is apparently India.
* KickChick: A lot of the delinquent girls throughout the series fight using their legs. Raino, Yashiya, and Ling Lan are three major examples of leg fighters.
* TheLeader: Delinquent schools tend to have banchou students as their overall leader. In addition, there's gang leaders seen throughout the series.
** Osanada serves as the banchou leader of the Amori High school that Rokudou attends.
** Rokudou starts to end up in this position unintentionally given all the delinquents he's befriended over time, as well as lesser delinquents being forced to serve under him due to his friends forcing them to.
** Matsugamiya Douji serves as the overall leader of the Onishima Alliance.
** Okamori serves as the banchou leader of Harikura High.
** Yamabuki Minami serves as this for the loan shark Bat gang delinquents.
** Kakeru as a delinquent was the leader of a biker gang called the Saiyuuki.
** Erimo as a delinquent was the leader of a group of ganguro gyaru girls calling themselves the Sibuya Galvul gang.
** Yagen serves as the leader of the Chromosome gang, which supports Yashiya in whatever she wants to do. He was also once the banchou leader of Harikura High before passing the torch to Okamori.
* LivingLegend: Kakeru's overall goal is to become this where he creates a long tale of his Saiyuuki biker gang that goes around doing evil things. For it to become such a massive legend that it gets published as an autobiography.
* LoanShark:
** The Minami story arc about the delinquent Bat gang is centered around this. Minami and her Bat gang are a group of loan sharks who take all the money they can get from the people that they loan money out to, such as Kachou's family.
** Sakura Credit is a Yakuza organization which runs their own agency. [[spoiler:One of Minami's friends is deeply in debt to Lady Sakura and fears she will kill him if he renegs on his debt]].
* LogicalWeakness: Chapter 167 has the boys searching for a means of limiting Rokudou's enchanting power. They discover [[spoiler:only if he covers his eyes completely will the bad girl not be affected by his spell. If he only averts his eyes or wears sunglasses, there's still a chance they'll catch a glimpse of them and fall under his charm]].
* LoveConfession: Due to the scroll spell, girl delinquents frequently end up confessing to Rokudou. Before discovering the reason, he's obviously left confused by this given that he's never really been good with girls.
** Ranna outright admits to Iinuma and Kachou that she's in love with Rokudou. However, it must be noted that Rokudou has the exorcism spell active that makes bad-girls fall for him.
** In chapter 139, a one-shot Amori student named Satomi Mokuren confesses to Rokudou moments before the police takes her away to a juvenile detention center.
** Also from chapter 139, Raino outright confesses to Rokudou that she loves him. This was while wearing the Gremlin beads, meaning the confession was genuine this time and not a result of the mark.
* LovesMyAlterEgo:
** When Rokudou puts on a female disguise to help Harikura High deal with the Chromosome gang, the exorcism spell on him results in people, such as the Harikura females, and Yashiya, falling in love with his disguise persona.
** Okamori legitimately falls for Rokudou's female disguise without the support of the spell, much to his and Raino's disgust.
* LoveRedeems: Try as she might hide it under her ruthless persona, Sakura Sachiko genuinely loves her adopted daughter Chiyo. [[spoiler:Upon realizing months previously about Rokudo's charm powers (having found herself infatuated with him as well when passing on the street) she seeks to move Chiyo into his path to help save her from being a criminal. And when her gang rebels against her, she fights to protect her daughter by any means, and in the end, surrenders to the police and would lie about her daughter's involvement in the family's crimes]].
* MacGuffin: Several times.
** Ranna herself was this during the Onishima Alliance arc since the plot centered on Douji and his gang trying to recruit Ranna into the Onishima Alliance, which Rokudou and his friends move to stop from happening.
** The magic bead necklace called the Gremlin becomes this later on as a key component of the mountain training arc as an item that Rokudou and company try to obtain in order to contain Ranna's evil in the event the mark fails.
* MartialArtsAndCrafts: Ling Lan shows that her kung fu skills can be used this way, such as when she did the laundry.
* MartialPacifist: The kung fu delinquents are this when they're wearing Kakejiku's evil sealing Gremlin necklaces.
* {{Masochism}}: Harikura High's former banchou, Yagen Yuuichirou, is revealed to be a huge one when it's showed that he enjoys Yashiya beating him up through BDSM, and has fallen in love with her because of it.
* MeaningfulName: A lot of the girls' names, particularly those that are in some way connected to Rokudou, are based on flowers.
* MentorArchetype: Several times.
** Ranna and Iinuma try to teach Rokudou how to fight in order to calm down two delinquents that are fighting, but Rokudou is unable to keep up with their crazy methods.
** Actual training occurs later on when Rokudou goes looking for Master Kakejiku. Kung fu practitioners, Ling Lan, Kakeru, Erimo and Rum act as mentors to teach martial arts to Rokudou, Iinuma, Colonel and Kachou respectively.
* MirrorCharacter: Matsugamiya Douji's past shows that he actually started off like Rokudou as a weak boy who hid in the bathroom stall from delinquent bullies. However, Douji's path went a route where he realized that he could befriend delinquents as long as he gave them what they desired, such as money and girls. If he didn't, the delinquents would turn on him, and Douji would have to find a way to win over a stronger delinquent until it reached the point that he helped a powerful delinquent create the original Onishima Alliance.
* MirrorMatch: Amano ended up teaching his younger siblings how to fight. As a result, his fight with Raino during the Onishima Alliance arc is basically a mirror match where they're trading kicks on one another.
* {{Mooks}}: If there's a specific leader delinquent that needs to be dealt with, they will usually have a group of unnamed delinquent followers surrounding them.
* MrExposition: Characters usually resort to this to explain things at hand. Early on, Rokudou tends to explain his current life at the start of each arc to catch the readers up after each StoryArc.
* MsFanservice: Yashiya brings a majority of it. Especially when she dons the BSDM outfit.
* TheMutiny: A part of the Onishima Alliance's plan to convince Ranna to join them is to turn the Amori delinquents against Rokudou. Doing so puts Rokudou in danger to make it seem like Ranna being around him was the cause, and has to leave his life to make him safe again.
* NewTransferStudent: Happens several times in the series.
** The top members of the Onishima Alliance pull this at Amori High as part of their plan to recruit Ranna into their gang. It was only temporary.
** Thanks to Rokudou's efforts, some of the delinquents he helps out decide to transfer into school so that they can also enjoy a fun and peaceful school life. A prime example is the mini-arc following the Ling Lan arc, which deals with Minami and Ling Lan entering Amori High as a pair of new transfer students in order to enjoy school life with Rokudou.
* NiceGirl: Mizue Tsuyukusa takes the role of the only [[OnlySaneWoman normal female student]] at the delinquent-filled Amori High. She ends up developing a crush on Rokudou believing that he's the only normal boy at Amori.
* NonActionGuy: For awhile, Rokudou wasn't much of a fighter. Though he does finally start fighting on his own terms after learning how to use martial arts.
* {{Nosebleed}}: Used for comedic effect, such as when Kachou helps a cute girl head in the right direction to renew her drivers license.
* NoSell:
** Ranna's love of violence is such that it overloads and shatters the Gremlin necklaces.
** Sachiyo's future vision fails her when she simply cannot see a possible future where she can win against Ranna.
* NotADate: Rokudou and Raino end up in a situation like this in order to keep Okamori from remaining suspicious of them. Rokudou (disguised as a girl) ends up eating a meal at a restaurant with Raino (disguised as a guy). Kazeno and Okamori even peep in on their meal to confirm if it's a real date or not.
* OneWheeledWonder: A part of Erimo's martial arts involves her riding a unicycle.
* {{Oni}}: The first chapter shows this off where a couple monsters were terrorizing humans back during the Heinan era. Given how the rest of this series turns out, this could have just been nothing more than a metaphor for delinquent human girls acting like monsters.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: They're not actual zombies, but the plan Minami comes up with is to have all the people in money debt to her go after Jin, assuring them that catching Jin will cancel their debt. They all go after Jin moving as if they're chasing a target like a zombie horde. If anything, it's a parody of a zombie chase.
* PassingTheTorch: Yagen was the previous banchou of Harikura High. Upon graduating, he passed the leadership role onto Okamori.
* PinkySwear: Between Rokudou and Ranna in chapter 102 where they promise to stay together forever.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Okamori is tiny for her age but strong enough to have become Amori's bancho.
* ThePlan: Characters put together plans throughout the series.
** Rokudou tends to put these together in an effort to try to reform bad delinquents. One example is when he goes about reforming Osanada. He announces for the class to do a school project where they take care of a flower garden at their school in order to show Osanada that activities at school can be fun.
** The Onishima Alliance's leader, Douji, puts together a plan to win the monster delinquent, Ranna, over to his side. Said plan requires them to infiltrate Amori High as new transfer students.
** Minami's loan shark gang plans to suck Kouta's family dry of all their money in order to pay their sponsor, Sakura, who takes 20% of whatever Minami's gang makes. Though this turns out to be more Jin's plan due to the fact that he's the one in trouble with Sakura.
*** On the other side, Rokudou decides that the best way to help Kouta pay his debt is to all take part-time jobs, and provide him with the money they make. Rokudou ends up as a cashier, Colonel works in delivering packages with Yamada, Osanada helps sell ice cream, Iinuma works in construction, Tsubaki goes into fashion, Azami delivers pizza, and Ranna takes on being a taxi driver.
** During the Ling Lan arc, Rokudou goes looking for Master Kakejiku in the hopes of obtaining a Gremlin necklace that could be used to calm Ranna's evil down. While doing so, Rokudou decides to learn kung fu from Ling Lan since he knows that he will eventually have to get stronger in order to change Ranna without the help of his exorcism spell making her love him.
*** Tateshima had a plan of his own during this arc. After having his Gremlin knocked off by a bear, he chose to continue playing as a "good guy" in order to learn kung fu from Ling Lan. When it was time to leave, he would steal the Gremlin beads, and use them along with the kung fu he learned in order to take over the underworld.
** For the Chromosome arc, the reason Yashiya wants to attack Harikura High is to bait out Rokudou into becoming the overall banchou protector of two delinquent schools (the other being Amori). Given her persona of wanting to break powerful men this is clearly something that Yashiya is doing to build up Rokudou in preparation.
*** On Rokudou's side of this arc, Raino seeks him out for the exact same reason, to become the banchou of both Amori and Harikura, and protect them from Yashiya's Chromosome gang. However, what Raino desires is for the two rival delinquent schools to finally be at peace under Rokudou's rule in order for everyone to have a fun peaceful school life.
* PressurePoint: Some kung fu techniques based around this are seen in the series. Tateshima's Chin Na technique is focused on aiming for one's pressure points, which is a move that Rokudou starts to use later on as well, such as in his fight with Yagen.
* PrincessPhase: Himeno seems to be going through this since she sees herself as a princess that should be taken by a prince on his white horse. In this case, the "prince and his horse" is a policeman on his white motorcycle.
* ThePromise: At the start of the Chromosome arc, Raino confesses her love to Rokudou, and the two make a promise that Rokudou will tell her his reply once the threat of the Chromosome gang is dealt with. He's shown to have kept that promise following the Chromosome gang's defeat.
* TheProtagonist: The story follows Rokudou Tousuke, a young normal boy who ends up getting involved in the world of high school delinquents.
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: Several times.
** For the Onishima Alliance, the top members serve as this underneath their boss, Matsugamiya Douji, which Rokudou and his friends had to face off against before taking on said boss. These top Onishima members that had to be fought include Yashiya Yui (#1 member), Akai Kouhei (#2 member), Handou Wakanosuke (#4 member) and his hidden trump card, Amano Sumire.
** For the Ling Lan arc, the three delinquents, Kakeru, Irimo, and Rum could be considered as this before Rokudou and company are able to take on Tateshima.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: Some deliquent fights feature the participants throwing a lot of punches at one another. For example, Kouhei's way of fighting against Iinuma.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Rokudou gives Yagen this in chapter 157. Yagen is unable to understand why Yashiya fell in love with such a weakling, which Rokudou calls him out that if Yagen truly loved her, he should have been attempting to stop her from doing bad things rather than just going along with whatever bad thing she desires to do. He didn't take it well.
* RedStringOfFate:
** Pictured on several front covers of the volume releases.
** The tale end of the first chapter does this with Rokudou and Ranna. Rokudou ends up bumping into Ranna by coincidence and offers his hand to help her up. Ranna has blood all over her given that she's a monster delinquent that just finished beating up a bunch of delinquents. However, due to the effects of the scroll spell that's been cast upon Rokudou, she accepts his hand to be helped up. The result is a blood string forming between their two hands as if it's a fated love meeting.
* RescueArc: Some of the story arcs are a type of this. Mainly Rokudou stepping in to stop a delinquent from going down the wrong path, such as stopping Osanada from joining up with the Onishima Alliance.
* RestrainingBolt: Later on, an exorcist bead necklace called the Gremlin is introduced that has the supernatural power to restrain the evil displayed by certain people in order to calm them down. In the past, Ranna's foster parents hired said master exorcist to provide Ranna with a Gremlin to contain the girl's evil, which worked ...for awhile. Ranna's inner evil was so large that the necklace wore down until the beads eventually broke. Since then, the foster parents and the exorcist have given up on Ranna, and she eventually became the dreaded monster delinquent. This leads into the training arc where the protagonists seek out the exorcist for a set of the beads to use in case the mark stops working.
* TheReveal: Happens throughout the series.
** During the Onishima Alliance arc, Rokudou finds it surprising that his exorcism spell attracts the male Sumire twin. Turns out that he actually did attract a female since the Sumire twins are crossdressers. Also from the Onishima Alliance arc, it turns out that the Sumire twins are actually ''triplets'', the eldest third sibling being named Amano.
** During the Minami arc, there's rumors of a heroic person the people nicknamed as the Loan Shark Hunter that's been dealing with loan sharks in the city. The Loan Shark Hunter turns out to be Jin. However, Jin is just a con-artist who's simply been stealing money from loan sharks he partners with. The people just gave the mysterious Jin the Loan Shark Hunter title thinking he was doing it for good.
** During the Ling Lan arc, it's revealed that Tateshima was in normal delinquent mode the entire time. A mountain bear had knocked off his Gremlin beads years ago, but Tateshima chose to continue playing out being a "good guy" in order to learn kung fu from Ling Lan. When it was time to leave, he would steal the Gremlin beads, and use them along with the kung fu he learned in order to take over the underworld.
* {{Revenge}}: Revenge plots sometimes appear throughout the series.
** Azami wants to beat up Aoi of the Onishima Alliance out of revenge for messing up a police officer.
** The top members of the Onishima Alliance get revenge on Harikura High's delinquents for them beating up Kachou as a way to further gain the trust of Amori High.
* TheRival: Amori High's delinquents are in a rivalry with the delinquents of Harikura High, which usually leads to fighting between the two schools.
* RunTheGauntlet: In order to defeat the Onishima Alliance, Rokudou's group has to make their way through Amori High towards the rooftop coming across each of the top Onishima members before being able to take on the Onishima leader, Douji.
* SamusIsAGirl: When Rokudou accepts the challenge to take on what he believes to be the male banchou leader of Amori, Iinuma gives Rokudou the heads up that Osanada is actually a girl.
* ScaryTeeth: The defining character feature of the Bat gang's Nagori is his massive set of sharp teeth.
* SchoolFestival: Amori High School has one during the Onishima Alliance arc.
* SchoolIsForLosers: Given that this is a series about high school delinquents, a lot of them don't take school all that seriously. Though some do start to once they've befriended Rokudou, and went through a change.
* SchoolOfHardKnocks: The Amori High school that Rokudou goes too tends to have fights that break out amongst the {{Delinquents}}, which appear to be allowed since no one ever gets in trouble. Later on, it's shown that other delinquent schools that follow similar rules exist.
* SchoolOfNoStudying: The school setting is never about the students getting better grades, rather the focus is on the delinquent side of the school society, and becoming the top banchou of all the delinquents.
* SchoolPlay: Rokudou's class does a school play based on the Momotarou story for Amori High's school festival.
* SecretArt: Ling Lan has this to the point that Tateshima wishes to learn it one day. In the end, Ling Lan offers to teach him, but it turns out to just be a simple handshake as a way for Ling Lan to say goodbye to Tateshima since her Gremlin sealed self taught him kung fu for two years.
* SecretKeeper:
** Very few people actually know about the reason as to why "bad-girls" have been falling in love with Rokudou, which is the effect of the exorcism spell that was cast upon Rokudou. The only ones that do know about this are Rokudou, Colonel and Kachou since they were the three present when the spell was cast.
** The three of them later reveal the secret to Iinuma when they decide to include him as one of the group (and because they feel it's only fair to explain why his girlfriend is also a little affected).
* SecretSecretKeeper: In the Sakura Loan Shark Arc, Rokudou learns from [[spoiler:Sachiko Sakura she has been aware of his charm powers for several months. She first recognizes something is off when she became infaturated with a high schooler for no reason she past on the street, and investigated him. She reveals this as part of her plot to save her daughter from being a criminal and giving her a normal life]].
* ShipTease: Some of Azami's later appearances make it quite clear that the author is pushing her to be with Aoi since they're usually seen hanging out and getting along with one another.
* ShrinesAndTemples: Several are seen in the series.
** Ranna's Himawari family lives in a sacred Japanese temple.
** Master Kakejiku runs a temple on Mount Karukaya that he uses to reform delinquents.
* ShoutOut: Throughout the series, Ranna gets compared to the Terminator. In chapter 7, Colonel mentions how Ranna bursting through a wall looked like something straight out of said film. Chapter 97 has the Amori students talk about a rumor that she's a robot from the future.
* SinisterSilhouettes: How the top members of the Onishima Alliance appear when they first arrive at Amori High in chapter 31.
* SirSwearsalot: Given that this series is centered around {{Delinquents}}, expect a TON of swearing.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: The only point of Rokudou's dead gandfather in the story is to pass down the ancestral scroll to his grandson at the start of the series. Said scroll ends up being a life changing event for Rokudou.
* SmokingIsCool: Delinquents throughout the series are often seen smoking. Amongst the main characters, Iinuma is a smoker.
* StoryArc: Arcs within this series usually deal with Rokudou and his friends helping out a "bad girl" resolve whatever issues she's dealing with currently, and ends with them becoming a better person.
* SuckySchool: The amount of delinquents that make up some of the schools in this series is pretty high, and they tend to get away with a lot, such as school fighting. Plus, teachers are pretty much non-existent with the exception of Morita, who only briefly appeared to show that Rokudou's Class 1-2 actually does have an adult teacher. However, said teacher just avoids going to class to teach because he doesn't feel that the delinquents are teachable.
* SuperStrength: The strength feats that some of the delinquents can pull of isn't exactly in the realm of realism, but it also can play for comedic value. Ranna for example can sometimes be seen bursting through walls because she's just that monstrously strong.
* SurpassedTheTeacher: Tateshima feels this way towards Ling Lan when it comes to the latter teaching the former how to do martial arts, which is why Tateshima is confident enough to eventually fight Ling Lan.
* SweetOnPollyOliver: Gender-inverted; delinquent girls fall for Rokudou even when he's wearing a female disguise, which leaves people confused as to whether or not the delinquent girls are lesbians deep down. This is especially the case with Yashiya, who appears to have outright fallen in love with Rokudou's female disguise during the Chromosome arc.
* TagTeamTwins: The Sumire twins are this. Raino and Kazeno are almost always seen fighting together.
* TattooedCrook: Those who become an official member of the Onishima Alliance get a gang tattoo branded on their arm.
* TheTaxi: During the Minami arc, Ranna's job is to be a taxi driver in order to help Rokudou's group make money.
* TeachMeHowToFight: Rokudou asks Ling Lan to teach him martial arts. She does. He also tried to ask Iinum and Ranna earlier, but was unable to keep up with their crazy training methods.
* TheTeam: Rokudou tends to be in one of these during each StoryArc surrounded by his core gang of friends.
** The Onishima Alliance has its own 6-man team led by Matsugamiya Douji when they arrive at Amori High as temporary transfer students.
* TeamMom: Otohime is basically this towards her Team Ryuugu motorcycle gang acting as a sort of mother figure that reforms the delinquent girls who follow her.
* TeamShot: Chapter 7 has one to show that Rokudou is starting to form his own group of friends at Amori high. The shot consists of 5 people (Rokudou, Ranna, Iinuma, Colonel and Kachou).
* TerribleTrio: The 3-man loan shark Bat gang are this. Minami leads the gang while having two loyal members, Jin and Nagori, help her out.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Masumi and Kashima are this, being two rival friends since middle school. They become underlings of Rokudou after the latter's words win the two of them over.
* ThrillSeeker: Furuikawa Aoi of the Onishima Alliance is this since he loves riding his motorcycle at fast speeds. He also enjoys the danger of going fast, such as just barely passing by a train at the last second.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Tsuyukuse Mizue as the only normal girl at Amori High who isn't a delinquent. She took a liking to Rokudou given that he seemed normal compared to everyone else at the school, at least until the events of the series convince her that he's actually the biggest delinquent of all.
* TookALevelInBadass: Rokudou over the course of the series becomes a lot stronger and confident compared to the weak normal boy he started off as.
** Rokudou, Colonel, Kachou and Iinuma eventually get a training arc. They all receive martial arts training from different kung fu delinquents during the Ling Lan arc. Rokudou gets trained by Ling Lan, Iinuma learns from Kakeru, Colonel learns from Erimo, and Kachou learns from Rum. This is basically the arc where Rokudou, Colonel and Kachou finally learn how to properly fight in some way.
** The Chromosome arc showed that Raino trained herself to strengthen her legs to become a better fighter in order to further protect Rokudou. Despite losing the fight, her kick was powerful enough to get Yashiya to admit that Raino became a bit stronger since they last met.
* TrainingFromHell: Rokudou attempts to strengthen himself after the Onishima Alliance arc in order to calm down two school delinquents (Masumi and Kashima) that are constantly fighting, but is unable to keep up with the crazy training methods from Iinuma and Ranna.
** Rokudou, Colonel, Kachou, and Iinuma go through a true hellish training during the Ling Lan arc where each of them learn martial arts from a different kung fu delinquent.
* TrainingMontage: Chapter 112 has this. Rokudou, Iinuma, Colonel, and Kachou are each shown training in kung fu from their respective martial arts trainers, which are Ling Lan, Kakeru, Erimo, and Rum. The montage carries over into chapter 113 as well.
* TrueCompanions: The group of friends that Rokudou builds up over the series are this. Though he does have a primary trio group that involves him, Colonel and Kachou because they started off as the weakling trio amongst powerful delinquents. Later on, Iinuma gets to join them as a quartet.
* {{Tsundere}}: The delinquent side of Ling Lan acts like this when she's around Rokudou. One moment, Ling Lan acts like she won't teach Rokudou how to do martial arts. The next moment, she's showing off moves ready to teach him.
* TwinSwitch: Plays a major role during the Onishima Alliance arc given that it introduces the Sumire twins, Raino and Kazeno. It's then later revealed that the Sumire twins actually have a triplet named Amano, and that the 3rd one is also in on the switcheroo plans. During Rokudou's final battle against the Onishima Alliance, Raino and Kazeno perform another switch-up in order to put a stop to Douji and their older brother.
* UndyingLoyalty: Throughout the series, Rokudou gains a group of friends who are always at his back. Particularly his core 3, which are Colonel, Kachou, and later on, Iinuma.
** Amonst the Onishima Alliance, Kouhei, Handou, and Amano are extremely loyal to their leader Douji. They're the only three who stick with Douji once the Onishima Alliance arc is done with.
** Yagen is this towards Yashiya when it he finds his true path in becoming the masochist that takes all her beatings.
* UnexpectedlyDarkEpisode: The series tends to be comedic, and shows off the fighting amongst the delinquents. However, the Minami arc takes this a step further by having Sakura cut off one of Jin's ears. The manga doesn't even shy away from showing the moment of the cut.
* UnwantedHarem: Rokudou ends up with one, though he's smart enough to know that it's not true love given that the only reason bad girls are interested in him is due to his grandfather's scroll spell. It eventually starts to develop into a true harem due to Rokudou helping out some of said bad girls with whatever their current issues are, which leads some of them to genuinely fall for Rokudou.
* VideoArcade: Rokudou and friends hang out at a video-game arcade in chapter 74. Some of the games they play include a shooter game, a drum game, a strongest punch game, and a racing game.
* VillainousBreakdown: Several times.
** Matsugamiya Douji falls apart at the tail end of the Onishima Alliance arc due to the fact that he couldn't overcome Rokudou's will to stop Ranna from leaving him, and is now alone after his Alliance has been completely defeated. He even blames his Onishima allies for not being able to stop Rokudou beforehand. However, Douji is brought out of his breakdown when Kouhei, Handou, and Amano make it clear that they've all decided to continue remaining loyal to the leader.
** Jin falls into this when he desperately tries to explain to Minami why he desperately needed the money to pay their sponsor, Sakura. In the past, it turned out that Sakura wasn't happy at all that Jin stole money from her (even cutting off Jin's left ear), and she forced an insane interest rate upon Jin to force him to continue paying her indefinitely.
** During the Chromosome arc, Yashiya ends up falling into this when she realizes that the female she fell in love with was Rokudou disguised as a girl. She became so angry that she ordered Yagen and the Chromosome gang members to just go into all-out war against Amori and Harikura out of revenge for her being tricked.
* VillainousGlutton: Rum's delinquent persona is this.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Rokudou used to be a perpetual bullying victim, until he accidentally used his grandfather's ancestral demon-binding scroll... which made him a ChickMagnet for, specifically, female delinquents. First among them is Himawari Ranna, a classical [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukeban ''sukeban'']] who can and will crush a dozen men without breaking a sweat if they threaten her man, and she's not the last...
* WhamEpisode: The Onishima Alliance arc has the first major threat to Ranna that Rokudou has to deal with. A group of powerful delinquents from the strongest Onishima Alliance delinquent gang arrive at Amori High in an attempt to recruit Ranna into their gang. They even turn the students of Amori against Rokudou in order to get it done.
* WhiteStallion: Not an actual horse, but this is what Himeno views a white police bike as, with the rider policeman as a prince here to take away the princess (herself).
* WomanScorned: The moment Yashiya realizes that the girl she fell in love with was just Rokudou in disguise, she doesn't take it well at all. She orders Yagen and the Chromosome gang to deal with Amori and Harikura while she deals with Rokudou.
* YouAreWorthHell: At the end of her arc, Sachiyo Sakura [[spoiler:realizes by a vision of the future while she could be safe from the repercussions of her involvement with her mother's illegal dealings, she will never be happy. So, as her mother is being taken away, even as her mother yells at her that she isn't involved, Sachiyo remains committed to joining her mother in atoning for their crimes in prison]].
