This part of the chapter is left out in the anime, and the reason behind egg's sudden appearance is never given a proper explanation.

* AwesomeByAnalysis: In the "Little Satsuki" chapter, adapted as the first part of the tenth episode, Satsuki realizes that Yuzu can pick up on little things to help out their guests, such as offering a foot bath to a guest who arrived at the inn with a walking stick and muddy shoes.
