* IronMaiden's ''Seventh Son of a Seventh Son''. The opening track even goes: "Seven deadly sins,Seven ways to win, Seven holy paths to hell, and your trip begins..."

* I'm surprised ASongOfIceAndFire hasn't been mentioned. The Faith of the Seven is all about this : heptagon-shaped temples (called septs, "sept" meaning seven in French), seven gods (who are also the seven faces of one god), seven hells. Other examples include the Seven Kingdoms (a single kingdom that was previously made of seven) with seven major houses ruling what used to be independant kingdoms (with the exception of the Riverlands, but this would become a complete digression), the seven Iron Islands, and there are surely many more to list.
