A SubTrope would be "All Gay Men Have Porn Staches". Whenever a cartoon or comic shows a GayBar (especially if the series isn't normally aimed at queer audiences), at least half the men will sport a mustache like this. During the age of the Castro clones, this was to some extent TruthInTelevision. Nowadays, however, it's no more popular among gay men than it is among the straight, and its resurgence in the '10s is still seen as hipster-y, even in gay circles.
