Whenever a cartoon or comic shows a GayBar (especially if the series isn't normally aimed at queer audiences), at least half the men will sport a mustache like this. Nowadays, however, it's no more popular among gay men than it is among the straight, and its resurgence in the '10s is still seen as hipster-y, even in gay circles.
