The scene in question goes as follows: [[spoiler: Shinji, the protagonist of the show, has made the decision to allow people to live after turning everyone on the earth into a single entity. He's aware that he will hurt others and himself, but he accepts this so that he can live and possibly enjoy life. Escaping from the single entity, he finds himself staring into the sky after several hours of being alone. He suddenly notices that his fellow pilot Asuka (who he has been very frustrated with) is somehow alive. He catches a fleeting glimpse of another pilot, Rei, before she disappears. Tired and drained from the trauma he experienced, he begins to strangle Asuka. Rather than to return the favor, she touches his face, showing him a simple sign of affection to let him know that he isn't alone. He stops with this, but she displays disgust with him. This scene's apparent purpose is to show that though Asuka is still (rightfully) mad at Shinji, she knows that she can't let him wallow in his own pity. It also shows that she may have become a better person from the events of the series and the AssimilationPlot.]]

* The characters of LittleBusters are prone to this. On top of the page we have a quote from Haruka, who spouts this kind of lines all the time. Other examples include Kengo summarizing Masato's life as "I brought you mayonaisse" and just about everything Kyosuke says.

So youre roaming the internets yet again and you stumble across a this video clip from some tv show. Its bloody hilarious but hell if it makes a lick of sense. Oh but wait a minute. Youve been on that TvTropes site before, right? Those superawesome interneteran rockstar sexgods had something to say about this sort of thing, right? ItMakesSenseInContext, that was the one!!! You are certain that if you watch the rest of the show, this jacked up clip will make total sense. Only it doesnt, watching the show only raises more questions. How did that bear get on the moon? Who is that winged man with the moustache? is that hitler in dracula's moon castle??? Eventually you figure enough is enough and you charge the forums demanding to know what the hell is going on with this show and you are immediately met with a slew of responses saying that not even they can make sense of the show. Turns out the author never was trying to make sense in the first place so it doenst matter if you watch the entire show, ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext
