Frollo escapes both, but instead of taking any one of the several opportunities after then to flee for his life, he chases Quasimodo and Esmeralda across the bell towers, until he finds himself standing on top of one of the already weakened gargoyles. Which almost immediately collapses from underneath him and sends him plummeting to his death.

** Ixion, the king of the Lapiths, already established himself as an untrustworthy {{Jerkass}} when he invited his father-in-law to a feast, only to [[KillItWithFire shove him into a burning pit]] [[EvilIsPetty instead of paying him a dowry]]. But when [[TopGod Zeus]] took pity on him when no other Greek kings would, and allowed him shelter in Olympus, how did Ixion repay him?
