This trope refers to adventure series starring two rather competent women with [[TheyFightCrime contrasting personalities]] -- compare with BettyAndVeronica, RedOniBlueOni, TomboyAndGirlyGirl, LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine, and BifauxnenAndLadette. They're usually not romantically involved with each other and generally are JustFriends. Subtext regarding otherwise may be present, though.
