* To the fans rejoice, Crunchyroll (Yes, that Crunchyroll) replaced a dialogue in Episode 15 of [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarOriginalGenerationTheInspector]], the episode where Dygenguard debuts in the series. Yes, fans will know exactly which dialogue it is.

* Gag subs of the first episode or two of ''Series/PrettyGuardianSailorMoon'' were released within a day or so of their broadcast. Among other "revisions", these subs referred to the youma as [[NaughtyTentacles tentacle monsters]] and characters broke the FourthWall several times to comment on how badly the show would traumatize children. They also included gag-subbed commercials, too, including what was apparently originally a Japanese [=McDonald's=] ad that was already somewhat weird owing to the somewhat constipated look on the Japanese "Ronald's" face... even ''before'' the pedophile joke in the subtitles came at the end. In fact, that particular gag sub also featured at least one other commercial with a pedophile joke, for children's underwear at a local department store which featured a cute little girl whose line was "translated" as "They're pedolicious!".

* The [[http://inulovinkit.livejournal.com/tag/capsummary FullMetal Alchemist capsummaries]] from inulovinkit count, though they are done in blog format. She has recently started making [[http://www.youtube.com/user/FMAVidsummaries videos]] like abridged series, but done with subtitles instead of voice acting. Alas, the capsummaries stopped at Episode 54, last updated in 2010, and, by the look of things, will probably remain unfinished.

The MemeticMutation has actually gotten to the point that multiple spin-off series exist, many of which are based around putting other characters in similar situations that often affect Hitler in some manner. Among them are the Stalin Parodies (centered around JosephStalin and his crew), the U-Boat Parodies (which turn the cast of ''Film/DasBoot'' from a group of sympathetic Germans trapped in a war they don't understand to a group of lovable rogues who enjoy causing trouble for Hitler), and the Gaddaffi Parodies (where [[MuammarGaddafi Gaddafi]] gets put into similarily humourous situations). There's even a spin-off channel based on [[AmericanGirlsCollection Kit Kittredge]] of all people.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxoQOaAN9h4 What Bumblebee is Really Saying]]: These videos are becoming really popular. They all consist of generally the same scenes of [[TransformersPrime Bumblebee]] 'speaking' in his ordinary way, [[StarWars R2D2]]-style gibberish that the other Autobots understand but with subtitles of what the creator thinks he's saying. In one version he's constantly hungry and wants to know where they hid the Cookie Jar and in another version he's in a highly sexual relationship with Arcee and is forever talking about her.

* When KamenRiderDragonKnight was dubbed into Japanese to air in Japan, someone on 4chan's /m/ board subtitled the first episode in the format of every character speaking in Cockney. It starts off rather simple, but by the second half it devolves to the point that anyone who doesn't know cockney slang won't know half the words being said in a sentence. Type I because they were still technically saying all of the dialogue correctly.

* In the [[ElviraMistressOfTheDark Elvira's Movie Macabre]] version of TheGiantGilaMonster Lisa, the French exchange student and love interest of the hero, is given this treatment.

* In an instance that's both this ''and'' a GagDub, Youtube user [=PonyNotReady=], the creator of a ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' AbridgedSeries, did [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEUk7fj9j8k&feature=relmfu a version of Mami's theme song]] with misheard lyrics sung by Madoka's voice actress for the series (song starts at 0:22, spoilers until then). ''Slutty ovaries! Yeah, Maria has diarrhea! Croatia!''

* Clips of the claymation cartoon ''WesternAnimation/{{Pingu}}'', where all the characters are voiced by the same actor and speak in expressive gibberish, have been treated like this several times. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbaApZuN8YM See this clip for a relatively innocent English-language example, in which the penguins suddenly live in a communist society.]] There are several others with subtitles in Swedish that are full of crude jokes.

* A few members of the Power Rangers messageboard '''[=RangerBoard=]''' have created [[http://www.freewebs.com/fiversubs/ FiverSubs]], turning parody fanfics of SuperSentai episodes into Gag Subs. Two of their biggest ones yet were based on SuperSentai movies:
** ''MahouSentaiMagiranger TheMovie: Bride of Infershia'' is turned into [[http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/comedy/watch/v158356834GaeCwxr# Mystic Force: A Power Rangers Movie -- Steedergon Fury Ignites!]] Instead of simply battling the villains and saving the damsel in distress, the protagonists are depicted as taking on the American branch of Bandai to force them to [[MerchandiseDriven release a movie-exclusive toy for the US]].
** ''GoGoSentaiBoukenger TheMovie: The Strongest Precious'' gets rewritten into [[http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/comedy/watch/v15818479mc4DdRr7# Operation Overdrive: A Power Rangers Movie -- The Bitch's Betrayal.]] Apart from rehashing the theme of characters interacting with Bandai (this time to prevent them from releasing Bowdlerised toy molds), this one combines both types of Gag Subs by overlaying the movie's opening theme with misheard lyrics (but leaving any GratuitousEnglish intact), including a spot-on lampshading of the genre:

* The fansubbers of ''HikariSentaiMaskman'', [=CSCentrl=], take potshot of Okelampa's CatchPhrase "Yare yare" after [[MakeMyMonsterGrow he does his duty]], and make him say things like "I need a raise", or asking if the Maskmen never shoot him first, or more ridiculous lines that cannot be contained with mere "Yare Yare".

* ''GundamSEEDDestiny'' saw one {{Rickroll}}-style gag sub episode released in the middle of its run. {{Fansub}} group "Cellphone^2" had done straight and decent enough subs of the first 39 episodes[[hottip:*:Incidentally, one side of the BrokenBase likes to [[FanonDiscontinuity pretend that the show only has 39 episodes anyway]], but after a few weeks of competing with [=HaroHaro=] (the well-regarded group that fansubbed the original ''GundamSEED'', which had gotten back together as of episode 21) they disbanded. Then there was a surprise release of episode 40 by Cellphone^2, indicating that they'd reconsidered their disbanding. For the first couple of minutes, everything was properly translated...then it abruptly went into absurd GagSub territory, with lots of [[MemeticMutation memes]] thrown in like a line about doing a ZergRush.

* [=EmoChickWOAM=] made one of these for [[VideoGame/{{Touhou}} Cirno's Perfect Math Class]] [[hottip:*:An...[[WidgetSeries interesting]] FanVid set to a song by {{IOSYS}}, starring characters from ''VideoGame/{{Touhou}}''.]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMECYItfQDw&feature=related Because the original wasn't weird enough]]. [[hottip:To elaborate: The gag lyrics turn what was a song mostly dedicated to making fun of Cirno, and change it into her listing some rather lackluster ambitions (Living in Maine, Learning Korean, and being Vice-Manager of an Arby's.) Protesting that the backup singers sound like men, an explanation of the plot of ''NoCountryForOldMen'', some racially insensitive comments, things that paint Cirno as a staunch conservative, plugs for 5 Hour Energy, the list goes on.....]]

* Any Website/YouTube video of the FinalFantasyVII One Winged Angel ([[IThoughtItMeant no not]], [[OneWingedAngel the transformation]]) will have several comments that have the [[OminousLatinChanting lyrics]] [[{{Mondegreen}} interpreted]] into English.

* The notorious "Whitney Lies Version" of ''[[FinalFantasyVII Advent Children]]'' is considered to be more comprehensible than the actual script. Its highlight was probably the "bee noises" scene.

** I personall prefer [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIwrgAnx6Q8 this version]] that gives the octopus boots, and sends it instead to North Korea.

* So far the only fansubs available for MusashiGundoh are nonsensical gag subs. Just as well, because apparently, due to terrible editing, the show ''still'' wouldn't make any sense if it was translated properly.
