* Creator/OliviaDeHavilland, one of the few people portrayed in ''Series/{{Feud}}'' still alive when it premiered, refused to watch it as she objected to making a show about people who were no longer alive to offer their perspective. Once it aired, and she learned she'd been portrayed as selling out her co-stars, she attempted to sue [[Creator/FXNetworks FX]] (although the case was eventually dismissed).

** Lucas is known for having a fairly low opinion of Franchise/StarWarsLegends, choosing to treat it as an AlternativeContinuity to his own films (which it ended up becoming). That said, a few elements did make their way over, such as Aayla Secura appearing in ''Film/AttackOfTheClones,'' and his own pitch for the sequel trilogy featured [[ComicBook/StarWarsLegacy Darth Talon]] as TheDragon to Darth Maul's BigBad.

The studio undid it the next season, but the damage was already done, and both CLAMP and Bee Train pulled the plug on a potential third season. [[ChannelHop The anime production staff was switched]] to Bee Train's parent company Creator/ProductionIG to produce the ''Tokyo Revelations'' [=OVAs=].

When asked what she would do differently if a film adaptation of ''Literature/TheMister'' was made, she said she would "make sure the director was sympathetic to the material", implying that her CreativeDifferences with Creator/SamTaylorJohnson were part of the issue.

* When creating Ashley Kafka for ''Franchise/SpiderMan'', J.M. [=DeMatteis=] based and named her after a friend of his, Frayda Kafka. The real life Kafka [[http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2014/05/spider-man-real-life-dr-kafka wasn't happy]] with the character being {{Gender Flip}}ped and [[AdaptationalVillainy made into a villain]] for ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan2'', nor for that matter, is she happy with [[ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderManDanSlott Dan Slott killing her off]].

* Creator/JohjiManabe ''despised'' the animated adaptation of ''Manga/GingaSengokuGunyuudenRai'', to the point of stating that he was "forced to prostitute his work” from having to rely on cheaper animation studios and condemning everybody involved in the project to a death sentence. He also downright stated that the series "looked like shit" for its low budget visuals. This is partially becaused it released following a drug-smuggling scandal within Kadokawa Shoten that resulted in company president Haruki Kadokawa's arrest and left Manabe destitute. To this day, the series still hasn’t had an official DVD or Blu-ray release nor has it seen the light of day overseas because of such backlash, though it did get Latin American Spanish and Arabic dubs, thanks to miraculous timing from Enoki Films.

* Creator/AnnetteCurtisKlause wasn't much happier with the [[Film/BloodAndChocolate2007 2007 film adaptation]] of ''Literature/BloodAndChocolate'' than the fans.
