I changed the syntax of the programming language used in the programming example from one which used double equal signs for equalities and ! for not, to a syntax which used single equal signs and the word not. Both of these formats are used in certain programming languages (e.g. C# for the former, VB for the latter), but I would consider the new format easier for non-programmers to read.
