[[DeconstructedTrope Practically speaking]], the chest is a pretty bad place to mount a weapon. It would make more sense to put it on the [[ArmMountedCannon arm]], or pretty much anywhere where it could be aimed in a direction other than where the user is facing. Really, this trope only exists for two reasons: 1) so the user can [[RuleOfCool kill you while flexing]], and 2) because the beam appears to be [[HeartLight emanating from the heart]], implying that their desire to kill you [[SoulPower comes from their very soul]].

* Parodied in ''LightNovel/MagiciansAcademy'', where a giant robot version of [[PettingZooPeople dog girl]] {{meido}} Eneus has two breast missiles that are also the cockpits for Miyabi and Synclavia. When the missiles fire, they go with them to their explosive end. Also parodied when Ataro attempts to fire the breast missiles again, only to find he already shot the only two he had.

* The title character in ''WesternAnimation/TheIronGiant'' has one of these (in addition to [[WalkingArmory half a dozen other built- in weapons)]] that shoots [[EnergyBall Energy Balls]] powerful enough to vaporize a destroyer fleet. Fortunately he's convinced not to just in the nick of time.

* In the first [[WesternAnimation/TheSpongebobSquarepantsMovie Spongebob Movie]], in order to get Spongebob, Patrick and King Neptune's Crown to Bikini Bottom in time, Creator/DavidHasselhoff uses his pecs to launch them down like a cannon, complete with a disembodied voice treating the event like a rocket lifting off.

* The [[Franchise/StarWars Bounty Hunter Trilogy]] has one instance where Boba Fett teams up with a massive cyborg to take down a heavily protected bounty. The cyborg's main (and only, really) weapon is a medium sized blaster cannon attached to his chest and shoulders.

* In ''Series/KamenRiderDenO'', one of Climax Form's attacks is a MacrossMissileMassacre barrage fired out of Ryutaros' mask located on the chest. [[ATeamFiring Unusually for Ryutaros,]] all of these actually hit their target.
** [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki Kamen Rider Zolda]]/[[Series/KamenRiderDragonKnight Torque]] has a contract monster whose ''entire torso'' full of missiles. When the time comes to execute the [[FinishingMove Final Vent]], Magnugiga [[MacrossMissileMassacre fires all missiles]] [[AlphaStrike at once]].
** [[Series/KamenRiderOOO Kamen Rider Birth]] has one called the Breast Cannon as one of his weapons. It is a {{BFG}} and is so heavy he can't move while it is in use, but it has a great deal of fire power.
** Series/KamenRiderWizard, in his upgraded forms, can manifest different body parts of the Dragon Phantom that empowers him. In Flame Dragon Style, it is the dragon's head, emerging from the center of Wizard's chest to breathe an intense stream of flame.

Sure, it's a Dalek, and thus has no actual chest, but the weapon is exactly where its chest would be if it had one (correlated against the regular Dalek behind and taking the gun and manipulator as 'arms').
** Cybermen in the Second Doctor's era have built-in weapons on their chest units.
* ''Series/GoGreenman'''s titular hero has one of these as a finishing move. After shouting "Greenman Breaster!", Greenman's upper chest panel lowers to reveal a set of eight missile barrels which unload on the target.

* With a lenient DM, a [[TabletopGame/{{Eberron}} warforged artificer]] could probably make something like this for themselves by installing a BagOfHolding into their chest and putting a balista (firing explosive bolts) in there with a small construct instructed to fire the moment the 'bag' is opened. Alternatively, a warforged spellcaster could (as it has no effect on gameplay) say that any spells they cast fire from their chest as long as they fulfill all the normal requirements.

* The AMX-109 Capule of ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamZZ'' has missile launchers on its chest and a Sonic Blast cannon around its waist. This was retained when the Capule was turned into the AMX-109 Kapool in ''Anime/TurnAGundam''. However, in ''Anime/GundamBuildDivers'' Momoka's Momokapool dumps the missile launchers because they weren't cute. The Sonic Blast cannon is turned into the Belly Beam and retains its deadliness.

* Franchise/{{Gamera}}, Friend to All Children and [[DestructiveSaviour long-time benefactor to the construction industry]], has been known to fire a plasma beam from his chest on occasion. Since he flies by retracting into his shell and projecting plasma from at least five other orifices, this means that about the only place you can't be plasma'd by Gamera if he's pissed off at you is by being glued to the back of his shell.

* In ''VideoGame/{{Fallout 3}}'', the weapon of Liberty Prime can be used by the player with the use of a cheat code. The weapon has no model, so it appears as if the character is holding an invisible rocket launcher. Guess where the beam comes from, though...

* ''VideoGame/LeisureSuitLarry 5'' has the Hooter Shooter bra cannon.

* The new models for Tyranid raveners in TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}} have an organic variant of this, with the weapon they carry impanted in their torso.

* ''Film/{{Transformers}}'' (2007): Blackout has a gun that he flips out of his chest rather emphatically on two separate occasions, though he never gets to actually ''fire'' it.
** Isn't that the blue particle cannon thing he uses to wreck the base in his debut scene? The one that fired the really big shots?
*** Those are fired from his arm (watch when he fires them, you'll see his arm snap back from recoil).
