Astro also has a large family of other robots, including his younger sister Uran.

Many of Astro's yies follow his basic character in one form or another. They'll be young-seeming humanoid (usually Robots) robots, often developed as Replacement Goldfishes. They are usually given SuperStrength and flight (or at least hovering) abilities. It's not uncommon for them to have PinocchioSyndrome and want to BecomeARealBoy. Astro Clones are often created by a skinny Tenma-looking scientist or a rotound Ochanomizu-looking one. When it comes to designs, they're usually white-and-blue or black-and-blue, with pointy AnimeHair.

* The rewrite Fanfic/RWBYScars adds onto what Astro Clone traits Penny has in canon. Penny Polendina is a FlyingBrick RobotGirl who wants to be seen as human. She has two father figures, her creator Pietro Polendina and James Ironwood. It's later shown that spoiler:Ironwood is literally Penny's dad. Penny is the ReplacementGoldfish for Ironwood's daughter Penelope Ironwood, who had her soul transferred into a robot. Penny, however, only has brief memories of her past life and has an existential HeroicBSOD upon being told the truth.

Her mother has a design similar to Dr. Tenma, but she's a benevolent parent (besides her being unsupportive of Jenny's "human name" and her PinocchioSyndrome). Jenny has a blue-and-white scheme with pointy GirlishPigtails, similar to Astro's pointy RobotHair.

* Robotboy of WesternAnimation/Robotboy is based on Astro. Robotboy was created by a Japanese professor, Professor Moshimo, with the most advanced fighting capabilities on the planet, but the mind of an 11-year old boy. To keep him out of the wrong hands, Robotboy is sent to live with an American boy named Tommy Turnbull, who teaches Robotboy to be like a human boy. Robotboy is a PintSizedPowerhouse and a FlyingBrick who is later given an Uran-like DistaffCounterpart in Robotgirl and is also shown to have an older evil counterpart named Protoboy.

Misuse. Fails the requirements for Expy

* Anime/JetterMars is a series by Creator/OsamuTezuka that stars an Expy of Astro, which Creator/OsamuTezuka also created. It was originally intended as a remake of the original Astro Boy anime, but a TroubledProduction led to Tezuka creating Jetter Mars instead. Jetter is similar looking to Astro, but he has a more bratty personality like Uran. Various other characters have expies as well (Miri to Uran, Dr. Yamanoue to Dr. Tenma, etc).

* WesternAnimation/Robotboy: The titular character is a RobotKid with a naïve understanding of human emotions and interactions. Not only were the similarities to Astro Boy pointed out by viewers,it didn't help that the 2003 Astro Boy anime had also run on Cartoon Network two years prior to Robotboy's debut. but he has also been compared to Mega Man and Jenny from My Life As A Teenage Robot due to his blue color scheme.

* Rusty of WesternAnimation/BigGuyAndRustyTheBoyRobot is definitely one of these, a young child-shaped robot with strength and flight powers and an imperfect understanding of humanity. He fights against an evil cyborg conspiracy, though instead of Ochanomizu he mostly plays off the eponymous Big Guy.
