In places.

* SelfFulfillingProphecy: Oh boy. * TrueArtIsAngsty: One of the major problems with this book.
* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: The rest of the problems with this book. Unless you have suffered through depression and take notes the book is practically impossible to follow.

No plagarism, please.

From its Amazon page:

"Anthony Calvino has not had the easiest life. His father killed himself before he was born, his mother had his whole life planned out for him down to the nearest second and his twin brother and the last vestiges of sanity had only a passing acquaintance with each other. He has been drifting along using his unique gifts to make a living for years but when the trail of a missing girl leads him to a little ghost town in the dampest corner of New England he is clearly out of his depth.

There are dark corners in the history of Sandalwood Bay, memories obscured from Anthony's talents and secrets buried deep. When night falls, there are unseen things moving in the mists and hunting the living. To survive he needs answers, but every touch just draws him closer to the madness that has plagued his family through generations and a living nightmare that is closer to his own life than he could have dreamt of."

Motherland revolves around an OccultDetective with touch based PsychicPowers searching for a missing girl in a GhostTown populated by night by Lovecraftian ghosts or monsters that prove EvilIsVisceral. It is not a cheerful book.
