** Lampshaded mercilessly by ''Webcomic/AnsemRetort'': Darth Maul, who was shown as being oblivious that [[spoiler:Qui-Gon died]], complaining to Marluxia that "some people haven't seen this movie yet." This is made more absurd when one considers that his introduction into the comic included whining about his fate in the end of the movie.

* All the advertising for ''Film/TheFlyII'' brings up the fact that the protagonist is the SpinOffspring of Seth Brundle; in the original film, it was a pivotal, shocking third act twist that Seth impregnated his lover Veronica at ''some'' point (the question being whether it was before or after he unknowingly became a mutant). Knowing the sequel is about their son also somewhat spoils the ending to the first film in that the viewer at least knows that [[spoiler: Seth does not manage to genetically fuse himself with Veronica and their unborn child]]. To be fair, spoilers usually weren't as big a deal in the 1980s and many reviews of the first film gave away the pregnancy twist.

Men's Health Magazine = not an officially authorized source of info, so not this trope

* Because it's been in so many other ''{{Franchise/Batman}}'' media anyway, it's impossible not to know that Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face. The only question in any of the series is how, and when. Still, there was an interview with Creator/AaronEckhart in the July/August 08 ''Men's Health''. It lists his movie roles, including his turn in ''Film/TheDarkKnight'' as "Harvey Dent, a.k.a. Harvey Two-Face". Which kind of blew the surprise considering that nobody knew if he actually would become Two-Face during that film or not. [[spoiler: Of course he did!]]
