** Jin Kisaragi is, in Layman's terms, a dick. He tolerates people at best, and is scathingly condescending at worst. It's implied that he wasn't quite an ass before the Ikaruga War (during his Academy days he was [[AffablyEvil a reasonably decent guy, if usually callous and indifferent to normal peoples' suffering]]). But hearing his hated/beloved brother is alive evidently snaps even this fragile remnant of his sanity and pushes him into full-out [[AxCrazy mad psychosis]]. He does get a little better later on, but he still remains a colossal dick, especially to Noel Vermillion (long story).

*** [[spoiler:The [[BigBad mastermind Tsumugi]] is a psychopath obsessed with the DeadlyGame she and her associates cultivated, and murders Rantaro solely because TheShowMustGoOn.]]

** Miu Iruma from is, simply put, a [[CompleteMonster Complete Monster]]. She is extremely abrasive and prickly, hurling sexual and verbal abuse at her classmates, getting angry at them for wasting her time, and generally being a nuisance, making her TheFriendNobodyLikes. She even attempted to kill Kokichi and get everyone else killed to save her own skin.

** ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony'': Kokichi Oma, who frequently lies to and plays mind games with others, seemingly for his own amusement, and can be quite insulting with others. In the fourth chapter, [[spoiler:he manipulates Gonta into killing Miu, browbeats the amnesiac Gonta in an attempt to get him to confess, then mocks Gonta after he's executed]]. In the end, it's suggested that [[spoiler:Kokichi hated the killing game and wanted to bring it to an end]], but that doesn't fully justify or excuse his unpleasant behavior.

* Bishop from ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights2'' certainly has his moments. If the player character is female, he gets to call her a whore, and his personality and [[ChaoticEvil actions]] definitely get him in trouble with LawfulGood [[KnightInShiningArmor Paladin]] Casavir. Somehow still manages to be [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys popular with the ladies]].
* ''VideoGame/OctopathTraveler:'' Helgenish is the abusive tavern owner in Sunshade. He treats the dancers he employs like slaves and takes joy in abusing them in every way, especially Primrose.

** A few days before he leaves for the baker's retreat, Joe tells Amelia that his twin brother moved into his house and played loud music in his bedroom, to his annoyance. [[spoiler:After Joe leaves, Sam [[TwinSwitch pretends to be him]] to seduce Amelia, and after he gets caught by the real Joe and leaves, Joe says that it's the worst that Sam had done so far. Sam then moves out of Joe's house the next day, not wanting to face him for what he did.]]

** The enemy COs in ''Days of Ruin'' are no slouches either, the Beast is an completely terrible person, never caring whether those under him lived or died, and take pleasure watching other people suffer, Greyfield is an absolute madman whether people are on his side or not, punching an defenseless old man after he surrendered, and Caulder let loose the Creeper just for kicks, spits on the idea on empathy, and has the ''gall'' to call all of his children abject failures!

** In ''Trials and Tribulations'', Phoenix discovers that someone is impersonating him. When he confronts the guy, not only is he a total jerkass, he's a downright bully who would rather kick everyone's ass for even looking at him funny. When a girl named Viola Cadaverini shows up, though, he goes from tiger to kitten, and for good reason: [[spoiler:Several months before, he got into a traffic accident with Viola, whose granddad is a mob boss, and he was forced to pay $1 million for the surgery on poor Viola. Even jerkasses know better than to piss off a mob boss.]] Out of earshot, however, he outright insults Viola. Considering this happens right after the girl's [[CryCute tearful confession]] about the whole matter, this comes off as [[KickTheDog seriously nasty]]. All that aside, there's also the fact that he's [[spoiler:the murderer in that case. As if it wasn't obvious.]]

** ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaALinkBetweenWorlds'' has Yuga, who is bar none the biggest Jerkass to ever appear in a ''Zelda'' game. The man is a '''''massively''''' condescending prick who pretty much [[UpToEleven takes the trope and cranks it up until the dial breaks]]. Every second of the guy's existence has him belittling and insulting everyone he comes across and he seems literally incapable of opening his mouth without calling someone a [[PitifulWorms worm or an insect]].

*** Catalina is a BastardGirlfriend who was willing to let Claude die in the beginning [[spoiler: and even admitted at the end of the game that dating him was "just business, implying that she only goes out with men who are her ticket to a successful crime life]]. She also has no problems killing anyone who are either useless or for money.

** Miu Iruma is a another example. As she constantly physically, verbally and sexually abuses her clasmates ith pornographic heckling.
* Tsumugi is a horrific example. Due to her being the mastermind of the killing game and one who started the Immoral Reality Show, killing over 800 people within 53 seasons, and takes pleasure in making her victims suffer. She meets her end when Shuichi shuts down Danganronpa for good by anstaining from voting.

** Nick from ''VideoGame/Left4Dead2'' quite the asshole to Coach and Ellis throughout the game. He insults their hero, Jimmy Gibbs Jr., by saying he looks like an asshole, insults Coach in the tunnel of love by saying "Bring back any memories, Coach? You, a cheeseburger, romance in the air," mocks Ellis' accent ("You can almost call this the CE-met river, Ellis!") and just loves to insult everyone living in the south.

** Second, we have Spare Squadron's AWACS unit, AWACS Bandog. On missions, he serves as Spare Squadron's MissionControl, but he is pretty toxic to the pilots under his command, which includes threatening solitary confinement, making threats like sending the pilots out to dig up landmines with their band hands, and even downright name calling with names like "Dumbasses" and "Drooling Idiots". When [[PlayerCharacter Trigger]] was transferred to Spare Squadron, Bandog made a bet that he would die on his first mission, even voicing resentment to him after he lands safely, but later on through the Space Squadron arc, he [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold warms up]] to Trigger with his proficiency as a pilot in comparison to the other pilots he's stuck with.

* ''VideoGame/StreetFighter'' has [[ArrogantKungFuGuy Adon]], who is definitely one of the straightest versions of this trope in the series while not being completely evil. He's an extremely arrogant hot-head that [[PerpetualSmiler constantly]] [[SlasherSmile has a]] ''[[SlasherSmile very]]'' [[SlasherSmile smug]] [[CheshireCatGrin and grotesque grin on his face]], shows nothing but extreme contempt for all other fighters, has a very savage and brutal fighting style, and feels that he is a self-proclaimed "god" of Muay Thai. Plus, many SF players find his voice (and in some cases, his general character design) to be obnoxious.

*** Marty Jay Williams, Louise's husband, constantly abuses Louise and even goes as far to ''[[AbusiveParents beat down their baby daughter.]]'' Needless to say, killing him was ''extremely'' satisfying.

*** And most definitely not too far behind is the BigBad himself, Jerry Martinez. Not only does he get Vic kicked out of the army due to his own crimes, he also betrays Vic by sending his goons on him and at one point, even raped and beat Louise savagely just to proudly taunt Vic.

*** Directly after you decide what race and sex your character is, you find yourself in a prison cell. A dark elf prisoner across the hall gets your attention, then proceeds to insult you and your entire race, then claims that the guards are going to kill you. Of course, in the event that you choose to become a dark elf, he doesn't insult you or your race... if you're male, he says that you probably have a wife or girlfriend back home, and then he says that he'll find her and "comfort" her about your death when he's freed. If you're female, he says that he'll get the guards to let you into his cell, to have some "fun". In both cases, he does tell you that you're going to be killed, though. Not a nice person. [[spoiler:Ironically, in one of the Dark Brotherhood quests, ''you'' end up killing ''him''. And his sentence was almost up, too. Said quest ends up casting him in a new, sympathetic light, though, as they are prone to do before forcing you to kick the dog. He's only callous as a defense mechanism, a fact which everybody around him realizes, and nobody takes him seriously for. The guard even tries to comfort him or at least engage him in a conversation, although he ends up getting insulted for his troubles, with blatant lies that come off far more pathetic and depressing then enraging. Of course, you still have to kill him.]]

* One of the reasons why Bubsy from the ill-fated ''VideoGame/{{Bubsy}}'' series was such a failure as a video game mascot was because his personality is basically a repulsive combination of Stan Smith from ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDad'' and Tomo from ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh'' (really, any GenkiGirl could do, but Tomo seems to fit just right). In fact, Games Radar declared Bubsy as [[TheScrappy the single most unlikeable character in video game history]]. Made ironic in that the ''Bubsy'' games were made years before either show existed.
