* Nakia prevents T'Challa from attacking a young conscript of the slaver gang, pointing out he's as much a victim as the women they kidnapped and tells them afterwards to bring him home to his village.
** In turn, T'Challa becomes [[{{Adorkable}} shy and gentle in Nakia's presence]]. Not even the suit's scary exterior can hide it.

* When M'Baku finally surrenders the challenge, his warriors don't hesitate to help their beaten leader up. Losing the challenge did nothing to dent the Jabari's respect for M'Baku. M'Baku, especially because he was convinced to yield for his tribe's sake. He and the Jabari [[GracefulLoser then quietly accept]] witnessing T'Challa getting crowned victor and king. This compared to his comic book counterpart Man-Ape where he was a villainous character who wouldn't hesitate to fight dirty and use cheap tactics to get his way.

** More than that, he did succeed! T'Challa was about to be cut down instead of thrown off a waterfall before the distraction. Being thrown allows him to be found in the river by the Jabari tribe and still be clinging to life.

** Also how despite his earlier statement, M'Baku leads his tribe to aid T'Challa and finally joining the rest of Wakanda.
** Another for M'Baku. Before leaving to confront Killmonger and win back his throne, T'Challa asks M'Baku to protect his mother. Though he's already fulfilled his debt to T'Challa, M'Baku doesn't hesitate to promise him that his mother will be kept safe.
--->'''M'Baku:''' No harm will come to her; you have my word.
** It is reflected in the earlier challenge, no matter how hostile M'Baku and the Jabari are to him, T'Challa has an incredible amount of respect for him and how important he is to his tribe.
--->'''T'Challa:''' Yield! Don't make me kill you. You have fought with honor, now yield! Your people need you. ''Yield,'' man!
** M'Baku has proven himself brave and valiant in battle with T'Challa, and has no fear of death. He is also a noble and righteous chieftain. So when T'Challa compels him to surrender, M'Baku does so for the good of his tribe, despite his pride. This is a tragic contrast to Killmonger, who upon being defeated by T'Challa, chooses death, as he has no tribe or family (one that cares for him, anyway); basically nothing to live for.

* The FinalBattle gives Everett Ross another moment. His reaction to the ship damaging the force field window directly in front of him to only 50% effectiveness (while he's trying to shoot down the cargo planes transporting vibranium weapons around the world): "''swallowing'' How much time do I have?" Once again he's willing to sacrifice his life, this time for the millions of strangers who will be killed if Killmonger gets what he wants. Thankfully, he survives, but the implication that he was willing to lay down his life to get the job done is clear.

** His and the Jabari's arrival prevents the Border Tribe from closing in on a surrounded Okoye, Shuri, and Nakia. Later when M'Baku is about to be run down by W'Kabi on his rhino, Okoye returns the favor by putting herself in front of M'Baku, knowing the rhino would stop to not harm her.

** The fact that Bucky is the most contented that he's looked since World War II. He's arguably been through an even worse TraumaCongaLine than Steve. He was experimented on, forced for seventy years to be HYDRA's puppet assassin and subsequently going through excruciatingly painful memory wipes, only to remember every victim when he finally gets his memories back. Even worse was confronting the vengeful fury of one of his victims' children (Tony). He's finally found some peace after the hell that he's been through.

We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.

* Back in 2012, Lupita Nyong'o and Winston Duke were classmates at Yale, and went to see ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}'' together. After the movie, they both said they'd like to do something like that one day, but were skeptical that they'd ever get the chance. Five years on, they are indeed starring in a big budget Marvel movie together, and Duke even got to reprise his role in ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar''.
* Adding to that, Duke says he was so overcome with emotion when he got the part that he actually cried.
* Michael B. Jordan also expressed [[https://twitter.com/michaelb4jordan/status/211183906102329344 his desire to be in a Black Panther movie in this 2012 tweet]].

** To drive home how important this is, [[https://www.gofundme.com/help-children-see-black-panther two]] [[https://www.youcaring.com/heronation-1060613 fundraisers]] have popped up for tickets for low-income kids to see Black Panther. Both have already reached their stretch goals.

* After Stan Lee's last few cameos were all filmed at the same time and clearly just him off by himself and not actually there on set, this time he again gets to be there and work with the actors.
* This [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J-D86wfxiE interview]], where Chadwick Boseman drives himself to TearsOfJoy while discussing a time when he saw two boys dress up and get excited for the movie, the moment he realized he was a part of a meaningful cultural phenomenon.
* [[https://thegrio.com/2018/03/01/sweet-story-behind-92-year-old-black-panther-actress-casting-will-make-happy-cry/ Dorothy Steel]], who portrayed the Elder of the Merchant Tribe, submitted her audition and got a callback within the ''hour''. And this was her first ever attempt at getting a role at the age of ''ninety-one''.
** What's more, back-stage she seemingly became the 'resident grandmother'. According to her, Chadwick Boseman never let a day on set go by without giving her a hug. D'aawww.
* [[https://www.dailydot.com/parsec/black-panther-cat-adoption/ Animal shelters]] have reported adoption rates for black cats increasing following the release of the movie, with many being named after the characters.
** Unlike most typical PetFadStarter movies, however, this is a positive and heartwarming effect; rather than pets with specialized needs going to unsuitable homes, these are people who the shelters had already approved for cat adoption choosing solid black ones over more traditionally "cute" colors. Black cats are infamously difficult to adopt out regardless of how sweet-natured they might be, because [[CatStereotype they're associated with bad luck]]. By changing the connotation of black cats, the movie allowed people to see them as gentle, fun-loving, and deserving of families, and may have saved their lives by finding them loving homes.
* The odds were never stacked in this movie's favor. It was the first movie in the MCU to feature a black lead, the first superhero movie to feature a black lead since ''Film/BladeTrinity'', and one of the only superhero movies ever to feature a predominantly black cast. With all this in mind, a final product that was only, "decent" would never have worked. ''Black Panther'' couldn't afford to be a good film, it had to be an exemplary one. Despite all that, it topped the charts at the box office, and was praised by critics and audiences alike, meeting all the raised expectations and them with style.
* This movie became the first to be shown in theaters in Saudi Arabia after the country's decades-long ban on theaters was lifted.
* Similarly, it was one of the very first movies to be released in Madagascar after the rebirth of its cinemas. Despite ticket prices being better adapted to first-world budgets than to one of the world's poorest countries, the showings were still a great success.
* Winston Duke has commented in interviews after the film's release that he has been blown away by fan response to M'Baku - after years of being stereotyped in AngryBlackMan roles, he has been thrilled that so many people enjoyed his portrayal of the proud but honourable leader with a sense of humour. [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments He also coyly admitted it's nice to have become an object of desire for many fans]].

* Aside from a few people on both sides trying to turn it into a feud, [[Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse DC fans]] have made it clear that they're completely supportive of the film and are very happy with it's success to the point of [[https://screenrant.com/black-panther-movie-dc-fans-raise-money/ raising money for kids to go and see it]].

Black Panther couldn't afford to be a good film, it had to be an exemplary one. Despite all that, it topped the charts at the box office, and was praised by critics and audiences alike, meeting all the raised expectations and them with style.

* When M'Baku finally surrenders the challenge, his warriors don't hesitate to help their beaten leader up. Losing the challenge did nothing to dent the Jabari's respect for M'Baku.
