The closest thing to 'worship' he received is priests burning effigies of him and spitting or stepping on figurines of him. It was common for Egyptians to pray for Apep's destruction at the hands of Ra.

** Molly's father Martin is a {{deconstructed}} ManChild, whose immaturity makes him [[ParentalNeglect neglectful to the point of abuse]]. He runs a toy store, which he hardly puts any work into keeping afloat, and he spends most of his earnings on frivolous knick-knacks to the point where he doesn't have enough left to properly feed his daughters. As a result, Molly, who's ''12'', had to [[WiseBeyondTheirYears learn how to cook, run a store, and file taxes all on her own]] just to keep the place afloat. He barely even cares about Molly, with the first episode's plot being kicked off when he forgets to pick her up from a field trip, leaving her alone in a closing museum at night, and in ''Literature/EpithetErasedPrisonOfPlastic'', [[spoiler:when Giovanni threatens to steal "the most valuable thing" from him, Martin doesn't even consider that this could be referring to his daughters]]. In that book's ending, the audience is meant to cheer when [[spoiler:Giovanni "[[TheKindnapper abducts]]" Molly (read: takes her away from Martin's abuse so she can actually get some good food and sleep at his friend's house)]].

It's worth pointing in this case, however, that this sometimes doesn't work and the opposite happens, with the intended Hate Sink being UnintentionallySympathetic while the other characters become Hate Sinks themselves. This is especially noticeable in the typical character dynamic between WesternAnimation/{{Caillou}} and his dad, the latter of whom has more qualities of this trope than the intended Hate Sink Caillou. Boris's typical portrayal is that of a borderline AxCrazy [[AbusiveParents abusive dad]] who grounds, punishes, or even murders Caillou at the slightest provocation without getting in trouble for it himself. Because of this, videos depicting Boris getting his comeuppance for his actions have become very common.

* ''Script/Godzilla1994'': With the Gryphon being an [[LivingWeapon alien bio-weapon]], serving unseen masters, our human antagonist in General Pike — a gung-ho leader of the Saint George Project, laser-focused on killing Godzilla, regardless of the collateral damage. When Godzilla reaches San Francisco, Pike suggests a nuclear strike, even when told it would result in ''further'' destruction across the cost; calling it as an "[[AMillionIsAStatisticacceptable loss of life]]". When Godzilla faces the Gryphon in New York, Pike has the Empire State Building destroyed to trap the monsters. When asked about the civilian casualties, Pike dismissively states they’ll build a monument to them, before turning against and firing upon his allies when they try to free Godzilla.

Mammon abuses Fizz, is an obnoxious ass to others, and does not care who he hurts in the name of profit. Adding to this is his lack of standards. The Sins all believe that you should [[DoWrongRight Do Wrong, Right]] — Asmodeus believes that Lust should be natural instead not forced, Beelzebub prefers that gluttony be for its own sake and not to forget about your woes, and what we hear from Charlie about her dad implies that he only respects pride that is honestly earned. Mammon, however, ignores all of this by embodying Greed at its worst — he wants and desires whatever he can acquire, does not care how many others suffer for it, and seems to want more just because it's more.

* Wrestling/DominikMysterio is perhaps the most notable example in recent memory after his FaceHeelTurn at ''Clash at the Castle'', betraying his father Wrestling/{{Rey Mysterio|Jr}} and HonoraryUncle Wrestling/{{Edge}} in favor of the heel faction Wrestling/TheJudgmentDay ([[Wrestling/FergalDevitt Finn Bálor]], Wrestling/RheaRipley, and Damian Priest, with JD [=McDonough=] joining later). ** The C.H.E.R.U.B.’s boss [[PureIsNotGood Deerie]], is portrayed as nothing more than a smug [[HolierThanThou holier than thou]] [[JerkAss Jerkass]] who bans the cherubs from heaven [[BeyondRedemption without the chance of being back in]] all because of a mistake in killing a human that they were suppose to save ([[AssholeVictim a horrible human at best]]). Leaving her screen time only so that the audience can loathe her and [[TheWoobie feel sorry for the now-banned cherubs]].

* The adult version of [[WesternAnimation/{{Arthur}} D.W. Read]] seen in the ''WebAnimation/AdultArthur'' episode "ARTHUR MOVES HOME" is portrayed as a RichBitch who openly mocks her brother Arthur and his best friend Buster when they visit the latter's parents and other younger sister, which is supposed to attract the audience's contempt towards her. It is incredibly satisfying when Arthur [[LaserGuidedKarma wrecks D.W.'s car]] at the end of the episode, which is also an IntendedAudienceReaction.

* ''Webcomic/GuildedAge'': Everything Payet does is calculated to make the reader hate him.

* Music/CarrieUnderwood's "Blown Away" is about an Okalhomaian daughter leaving her passed-out alcoholic, physically and emotionally abusive father in his lounge chair in the middle of a tornado, while she seeks shelter.

* In ''WebAnimation/MetaRunner'', we have [[AttentionWhore Evelyn Claythorne]], an obnoxious and egotistical Jerkass who constantly berates her co-workers, as well the protagonist Tari, by calling her mean names. After loses to her in a showmatch, she teams up with [[GreaterScopeVillain Dr. Sheridan]] to get revenge on her with new equipment. But what makes her really [[MoralEventHorizon crosses the line]] is when she kills Theo, who was a child, and she knows it well too. Unlike other villains like [[BadBoss Lucks]], who at least FaceDeathWithDignity, or Sheridan, who is LaughablyEvil, there is nothing likeable about Evelyn, and it is absolutely satisfying to watch her [[CatharsisFactor getting arrested in the finale]].

* ''WebAnimation/FreezeFlame'': Camilla from ''WebAnimation/BowsersKoopalings'' has always been an unpleasant girl who thinks she is [[AlphaBitch above everyone]], but her really bad side didn't emerge until she tricked Wendy, someone who considered her one of her best friends, to eat a lot of food so she can gain weight so that Travis would dump her out of disgust and start dating her instead of Wendy. Think that's not bad enough? Well, she later starts pulling nasty pranks on Wendy in an attempt to get her to break up with Travis, such as putting a poisonous snake in the castle's bathroom and stealing all of Wendy's possessions while she's asleep and''selling them all online''. Once Travis finds out about what Camilla has done, he is absolutely disgusted and decides that he doesn't want anything to do with her.

* ''WebAnimation/FreezeFlame'':

** Said Japanese wrestler, the former "Stardust Genius" Wrestling/TetsuyaNaito, was clearly intended to be this when he came back as a heel in Wrestling/NewJapanProWrestling. Showing up late to press meetings, a lackadaisical entrance and fighting style which took the concept of [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender neutral jing]] to absurd levels in a company built on the ethos of Japanese fighting spirit, and treating Wrestling/ShinsukeNakamura's vaunted IWGP Intercontinental Championship belt like a shiny toy to be thrown around at will, not to mention, again, starting his LIJ group by taking a well-liked ascended young boy named Takaaki Watanabe and restyling him as a cartoonish GrimReaper type called EVIL. All this was meant to thumb his nose at the fans who did not accept him when he was earmarked to be Wrestling/HiroshiTanahashi's successor as the HotBlooded and passionate top face of the company. While initially being ''very'' successful at garnering universal scorn from both fans and rivals (ask Wrestling/KazuchikaOkada, their hatred is mutual), it wasn't very long before this transferred into a LoveToHate reaction, then to an ironic RootingForTheEmpire, until he and his group were acknowledged as [[WildCard tweeners]] rather than the straight-up heels they were intended to be.
* Despite his official billing as a {{tecnico}}, Wrestling/{{CMLL}}'s fans spewed much vitriol towards Perro Aguayo Jr. for being a ReplacementScrappy to his father. CMLL would "correct" this response by having Aguayo Jr. defeat [[DracoInLeatherPants popular rudos]] such as Dr. Wagner Jr. and Rey Bucanero, leading up to a title match with [[GoodVersusGood a tecnico people actually liked]], Atlantis, which was a BreakTheHaughty moment for Aguayo when he lost, which led to him [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap legitimately getting over]].

* A notable exception to the above was the late 1991 heel turn of Jake "The Snake" Roberts. In the space of three months, Roberts betrayed The Ultimate Warrior to his nemesis The Undertaker, broke up the wedding of Randy Savage and Elizabeth by putting a live snake in a gift box, DDT'ing and ambushing a revenge-seeking Savage on multiple occasions, including one extremely memorable instance where "The Snake" caused a live cobra to bite "The Macho Man" on national television, slapped Elizabeth across the face, as well as nearly hitting Savage and Elizabeth with a steel chair from behind a curtain. The last act was so despicable it caused Roberts' former accomplice Undertaker to have a face turn, foil his plan and oppose Roberts, causing "The Snake" to retaliate by locking "The Deadman"'s hand in a casket, rendering him helpless to an onslaught of chair shots by the vengeful Jake. Through this marathon of heinousness, "The Snake" became easily the most despised man in professional wrestling, receiving death threats constantly.
* Many of the lower-level Wrestling/{{WWE}} heels aren't really all that vile, but they are annoying and "[[StrawLoser uncool]]". Quite a few of them are also supposed to be hated simply because they are [[ForeignWrestlingHeel Evil Foreigners]], [[UnintentionalPeriodPiece hail from a country the United States is having difficulty getting along with at the moment]], or at least advocate political positions that seem "un-American." Heels who aren't very evil from the beginning will [[KickTheDog quickly do something mean]] so the audience has an excuse to hate them.
