** The very first recipe in the breakfast section and the book entirely, is an Easy difficulty recipe for Almond Cream Croissants. Then apparently after that, Gyohan served them to a certain Wandering Minstrel, who out of appreciation (or hunger), composed and sang a song about Croissants and had a certain familiar effect on Gyohan as the retelling of a certain hero's stories about battling epic foes. Cue the second recipe, The Minstrel's Ballad: Almond Cream Croissants, with a recipe difficulty rating of Extreme and a total estimated time of completion equal to 29 hours and 30 minutes. And its written in the style of a 4 phase trial or raid boss guide. Listening to The Primals music in your kitchen while making this is optional, but recommended.

What makes it funny, is that introductions and additional notes to each recipe are written from the in-character perspectives of Gyohan, a traveling Namazu culinarian, and Mogria, a moogle of Moghome, as they travel about learning and trying the various recipes and meet with characters of interest, leading to certain situations.
** You can finally try a Kupo Nut! Or rather, you can try Gyohan's attempt to recreate the flavors of a Kupo Nut in a snack/energy balls style dish of ground nuts, seeds, and dried cherries because Mogria always immediate eats any of the real deal when she finds them. Mogria, is Understatement somewhat offended by Gyohan's interpretation.
---> Mogria's note: Gyohan, what are all of these ingredients, kupo? Kupo nuts are just KUPO NUTS!

* On December 16, 2021, the dev team made the decision to remove the game for sale on all copies, and even disable the Free Trial, due to the sheer server congestion from Endwalker's release. Think about it, how often do you actually witness a moment where the developers are basically saying "Please stop buying our game, we're suffering from success"?

* The release of the 1.0 version of FFXIV had many issues as everyone knows, but one that was Japanese only was chocobos were called "horsebirds" because the outsourcee used it as placeholder and forgot to change it. This caused a massive outcry within the Japanese fandom and eventually they renamed them back to chocobos (the English translation went with "chocobo" from the start). References to the old name are littered throughout the game in goofy ways, even in the English translation, with moments such as the Doman refugees who had never seen a chocobo before referring to them as horsebirds, or one line the Warrior of Light can say during the Stormblood Hildibrand quest that they are broke due to a gambling addiction, betting on horsebirds specifically. Somewhat amusing if you don't know the history behind the term, even funnier if you do.
