*** Gunman: Could be a reference to the Bat Orphnoch from [[Series/KamenRiderFaiz Faiz]], who also had a prominent cowboy motif.

* The [[CoolCar NEXTridoron]] is based on [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-AMG_GT Mercedes-AMG GT]], which is obviously an outdated model 20 years in the future. It looks like a case of {{Zeerust}} at first glance. But then we are shown the First Drive Pit, which has been repurposed as Krim storeroom for his vintage cars collection. It's not that Krim can't afford to buy more recent car, he's just prefer classic automobiles.

* The supposed SpecialEffectFailure from the Gunman arc, with Slowdown done by really awkward jerking around and no {{Overcrank}}, is actually the result of the NiceHat Roidmude making a bunch of Slowdown rings all at once to trap our heroes. What happens when you crank out too much of a product too soon? ''You sacrifice quality.''

* Episodes 23-24 focus on the question of whether or not Mach should get more power ups to level the playing field. The in-universe justification for not getting more is that Gou is already strong. However, because of Type Formula coming into the fray and his mastery of Dead Heat, he ''has'' in a way gained a power up in the form of becoming the sole user of the Shift Dead Heat Car. He just had it all along.

* Gou's current personality dive seems a little excessive, but then these immortal words rang true: [[Franchise/StarWars Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to Anger, Anger leads to Hate, Hate leads to Suffering.]]
** Fear = the day when the Roidmudes went rogue. Anger = the fury Gou felt when the Roidmudes ripped his and Kiriko's father from their lives. Hate = his anger against the Roidmudes grew intense enough to view the situation in a black/white picture. Suffering = Gou's a little liberal with that hate of his, and Kiriko's usually in the center of it, thanks to her situation with Chase.
* Gou's resolve to kill all the Roidmudes and ''why'' he's doing it might not make as much sense, especially when he's concerned about Kiriko... that is until you recall the time where they took on Judge. [[spoiler:The VictimOfTheWeek's brother was killed by the real Judge and made to look like he was Judge the whole time. Because of her relation to him, she was cast as a black sheep. Gou is actually trying his hardest to ensure that same fate doesn't befall Kiriko.]]

* Gou [[spoiler:kills Banno the same way that Shinnosuke killed Krim in the movie, but uses the [[FinishingMove Full Throttle]].]] Remember that [[spoiler:Krim has been rebuilt several times. Gou was making sure there wasn't ''enough'' of Banno to be put back together.]]

* Near the end of the music video to Spinning Wheel, Kiriko appears to all three Riders. While Gou and Chase walked away from her, Shinnosuke was the only one to walk ''towards'' her. [[spoiler:This could represent the romance subplot done late in Drive between Chase, Shinnosuke, and Kiriko. Gou is the first to walk away due to his connection with Kiriko being of blood and not of love. Chase is the second, [[IJustWantMyBelovedToBeHappy knowing full well]] [[GracefulLoser the two love each other]] (and possibly mirroring his moment in #44) while Shinnosuke ends up marrying her]].

* Gou's mentality on dealing with Roidmudes ranging from using Slowdown and lack of mercy towards Roidmudes and anyone working with them serves more than just a direct and stark contrast to Shinnosuke's more professional and more justice-based approach when it comes to the same situation: it's basically the American cultural view of justice vs. the Japanese's.
** To elaborate, America has recently been the center of [[PoliceBrutality police controversy]] along the lines of killings in police custody, excessive use of force, and overall incompetencey. Japan, on the hand, has no such problem in their police force. It would make sense why Gou's suggestion of killing evil humans working with Roidmudes so appalling to Shinnosuke and Kiriko, being that the former lived in America for quite some time.
** Add in the fact that much of said brutality are also said to be hate crimes, and you have Gou being a [[FantasticRacism racist cop]].

* Banno saving someone from an incurable poison wasn't him being a nice guy. [[spoiler:It was him giving a sneak peek of his master plan]].

** It's likely that they're just that useless against monsters as opposed to being sabotaged by him - after all, the Roidmudes didn't team up with the Megahex in ''Gaim vs Drive'', so odds are a), the monsters are species Freeze couldn't help in the events of the show they appeared in for some reason (i.e., the Imagin, Mirror Monsters), b), they would've been stopped regardless of if he hindered the cops (i.e., the Horoscopes, the Yummies/Greeeds), or c), that he didn't care about other species (i.e., the Makamou, the Fangires). In fact, the police were actually quite effective against the Gurongi and the Lords.

** You don't need to be normal to suffer from that truth...As Drive makes everything canon, including previous Kamen Riders' existence, this leads to a terrifying thought: Most Rider enemies can be beaten by any Rider from any series with enough skill and power, even though some may be tougher than the rest. Enter the Roidmudes; They [[TimeStandStill literally has the power to slow down time]], whose effects on non-Drive Riders aren't quite clear yet. But if only Drive Riders can cancel it, another Rider might be get their ass kicked during Global Freeze, assuming they even have time to Henshin, that is...

*** Medic: Antidotes are used to stop venomous bites from creatures like cobras, like how Medic can prevent Drive's finishers from killing other Roidmudes. Worth noting is that cobra venom can be used to develop its own antivenom, which is why you should catch the snake responsible for the snakebite and show it to the doctor too. It may also relate to the Caduceus, the symbol of medicine, with is represented by two snakes. And one of the oldest ones in the book ([[TheBible literally]]): Medic has been manipulating Heart and Chase, like the serpent tempted Eve to sin.

* Following the above FridgeHorror, according to Freeze, [[spoiler: he has been in the Self Defense Force for 15 years.]] 15 years without ANY Riders before Drive found out about him! Are [[PoliceAreUseless police forces in Kamen Rider that useless]] against monsters or every effort to deal with them was sabotaged by him?

* Drive is Heisei Rider #16. In some countries and states, 16 is the age when people learn to '''drive'''.

* Thanks to Drive's addiction to making everything canon, the Global Freeze took place shortly after the Helheim invasion. Meaning that while humanity was recovering from attack of killer plants, robots came out of nowhere and attacked a quarter of the world. It must have sucked to be a normal, faceless civilian.
** You don't need to be normal to be suffered from that truth... As Drive makes everything canon, including previous Kamen riders' existence, this lead to some terrifying idea : Most of Rider's enemies are able to be beaten by any Riders from any series (With enough skill and power), such, some enemies are hard to handle but it still not so hard. Enter our roidmude, they can [[TimeStandStill perform Slow Down]], which we still haven't be informed about its effect on another Riders. But if only Drive riders can cancel it, another riders might be get their ass kicked in Global Freeze, assuming they have time to Henshin, that is...
* Following above FridgeHorror, according to Freeze, [[spoiler: he has been in Self Defense Force for 15 years.]] 15 years without ANY riders before Drive know about it! Are [[PoliceAreUseless police in Kamen rider that useless]] against monsters or every effort to deal with them is sabotaged by him?

* Type Speed Wild Technic being cobbled together from Drive's various form actually makes perfect sense. Drive has alternate forms which colors match with the Roidmudes trio (Red = Type Speed/Heart, Green = Type Technic/Brain, Black = Type Wild/Medic). So basically Type Speed Wild Technic symbolizes the union of Heart, Brain, and Medic in one body.

* Drive being the only Heisei Rider other than [[Series/KamenRiderFourze Fourze]] to be called a Kamen Rider in-universe makes more sense when you look at the path production was heading; Drive is number 16. Remember that in the [[Film/HeiseiRiderVsShowaRiderKamenRiderWarsFeaturingSuperSentai Taisen]], the two Rider sides (Showa vs Heisei Lead Riders) were equal with fifteen on each side (Showa was Ichigo to J, and Hesei was Kuuga to Gaim); Drive is the symbol that the Heisei Era has now both figuratively and literally surpassed the Showa Era, in both number and years of the era-shows running.

* Medic relying almost entirely on CombatTentacles, one of the cheapest and common MonsterOfTheWeek moves next to shooting spikes and teleporting away, but it makes a funny kind of sense as one of the first rules of combat medics is to look for immediate danger before acting ie. ''not to get yourself injured as well''.

* Roidmudes get StrongerWithAge. [[spoiler:Roidmude 108]], while a dangerous psychopath, is thus presumably the weakest. [[spoiler:In the present at least. In the future, and when he's in the present, he's very powerful and defeated the future (presumably stronger) Drive ''without'' evolving. Because at that point he's the ''oldest'' Roidmude!]]

* Heart and Medic being in love with each other is more than just the FlorenceNightingaleEffect. Heart is grateful that this beautiful woman not only healed him, but also healed the other Roidmudes, all of whom Heart considered his friends. On her own end, Medic absorbs the emotions of Roidmudes that she heals, and Banno's evil chip of negative human emotions was implanted in nearly every Roidmude except Heart. Healing other Roidmudes is what corrupted Medic into the cruel sociopath she is, so she's attracted to Heart because healing him literally fills her with his positive feelings and love, something she experiences from no other Roidmude.
