A text box that flashes on-screen at the start of Donnel's paralogue explicitly tells you how to recruit him, so it isn't a Guide Dang It at all.

** Recruiting Donnel is not as straight forward as you expect. He will only join the party if he levels up during his recruitment paralogue. Again, the game doesn't mention this so it's very likely that you'll complete his paralogue and then confusedly notice he isn't in your party roster afterwards.

Again, the game doesn't mention this so it's very likely that you'll complete his paralogue and then confusedly notice he isn't in your party roster afterwards.

** The way the second generation paralogues work make it look like most members of the second generation spent two years making absolutely no effort trying to find each other or the shepards and sometimes chose to pursue a personal goal instead. However, given their mission, regrouping should have been one of their top priorities.

** Chapter 17 ends with [[spoiler: Say'ri's allies performing a CavalryBetrayal on her and Chrom's army and siding with Walhart's empire because Excellus blackmailed them]]. However, it's actually possible to finish the chapter before this happens, but nothing changes if the player does. The cutscene following the chapter still mentions it as if it were shown.
